Kristine - Here's a blood pressure tip from DH - once they take it and they have finished with all the other things they have to do - please ask them to re-take it. You'd be surprised how much it goes down by the end of the visit. Paul would have two different readings - and they were quite far apart. The second reading is more indicative of a true reading.

Good luck!

Have you ever been asked for a hard copy of your signed tax forms? I was told they radomly select people....I have made 5 corrections so far...I feel like a big dork. Anyway, I haven't lied about anything...I am just totally ignorant as to how this process works. Is the EFC towards all costs? I.E...tuition & housing?

Kristine

You lucky woman!! NOT!! In the 5 years I worked for the FAO we had 2 selected for the hard copy stuff. Our numbers always worked for both tuition and incidentals.....not sure how other FAO's do it.

Boy I wasn't much help was I? :rotfl2:

Here is my childish problem of the moment:

I am sitting here all nervous because I am waiting for a paramedic to come over and draw blood from me. Since a few people have died around me I have become a tad paranoid...so I got a life insurance policy for myself so my kids would be taken care of. So now I need a BP check, blood etc. I have terrible veins so they NEVER get it in the first try. So I am freaking out! Like I said...I know it's childish...

Kristine

I so understand the bad veins.....Even when they "find" a vein...after multiple tries....often my vein will collapse. Did you drink lots this morning? I was told by a phlebotimist to drink lots of cold drinks before having blood drawn

I was told that too. I too have no veins. It was real fun having dealing with fertility issues when they needed to draw blood daily. I did have better luck with a child's butterfly needle.

Good Luck!!!! We'll all be thinking of you.

Midnight-love your princess designs!

Tammi-love your name! I too really like the way Alice is sitting.

I've got to thanks you guys again for all the monster advice. When I got home from work last night (my DH is a stay at home dad) Emma was playing with her big dinosaur. He was having fish for dinner as she had put a toy shark in his mouth :teeth: . I suggested that perhaps her dino could keep her safe at night. She gave me a look that said something like "you think you're gonna get off that easy?" but she didn't say a word. At bedtime I said let's go to bed and she responded with "I need my HUGE dino." So dino sat watch at the end of her new bed, I read her Donald Duck Stories and when I shut off the light she didn't say any thing about any monsters and didn't utter a single note of protest. :cool1: This is so huge for me. My DH doesn't even seem to notice because I am always the one to care for her when I got home from work. Thanks for again for the advice and letting me share my sucess here.

Kristine -- I don't think you're being silly -- They always have a hard time with me, too. When they start digging in my arm, I get all sweaty!

Tammi -- aren't you the one that was telling me about dairy products and sinus issues. Are you still having better luck as long as you stay off dairy, or do I have you confused with someone else who was trying to help me? I'm kind of slow and forgot to ask you about this when I replied to you earlier. Lack of sleep.....I'm too old to function on little sleep....

Hi, all. Haven't read the board yet, but good morning. I'm leaving right now to take Davis and BK to a playdate. Rees has his evals at 1pm today (EST). Please say a prayer for him that he is CALM, RELAXED, HAPPY, FOCUSED, and ATTENTIVE (specific prayer please). Thanks so much. I'll check back in afterwards.

Denise

Does anybody remember who made this design?

That must have been someone else. My cure is guafenesine (sp?).

How do you resize an image so that it doesn't look too big on your screen when you post it?

Well...that was quite rotten!!

2 stabs in the arm...final stab in the top of the hand...which hurts sooo much! Which then made me start to feel faint...Bill's running around looking for OJ to give me...it was quite the sight to behold. The woman packed her stuff up and RAN out the door as fast as she could :rotfl: . I have low BP...it was 110/70 when I was nervous...once they took it right after the blood test..it ws so low the person got all freaked out.

All I can say is thank God it's done!!!

And...thanks for listening..and the kind words!!!

I had, one time, 4 phlebotimists working on me!! The last one said you need a professional to take your blood. UHHH...and you are? :lmao:

Glad it's over!

LOOK WHAT I DID!!! I CAN FINALLY CALL MYSELF A DESIGNER!!!

Ok, I have really been trying for awhile now and finally got a co-worker to assist me in learning a graphics program. I don't think I am going to attempt anything more difficult, but at least I can make a name design for my kids. Please give me your honest opinions, good or bad. If you think of a way that it could be better, let me know.

Thanks Kate, for all of your inspiration!

I'm hanging in there. I had to have all the duct work in the house where we office replaced -- it had mold in it. It was tough those few days they were working, as it stirred up all kinds of gross things, but after a few rough days, I'm much better.

It's been in the 70s and 80s here in Dallas, so everything is starting to bloom. We'll see what happens in the next few weeks.

Today the high will be 80. This afternoon, we are flying to Tahoe for a few days of skiing with the boys. The highs on the mountain are supposed to be 5 - 10 degrees, with lows in the -5. BRRRRR. I'm a Texas girl -- I'm going to freeze!

Thanks so much for asking! I just love the DDA!

Have a Fantastic day!

I hope the mold situation is better and your office in not gross anymore. Mold freaks me out, it can make people very sick.

Hope you have a fabuolous time in Tahoe, we almost went this weekend, but DH has a bad knee from an accident this past spring. I haven't skiied in four years and can't wait to get back into it. WOW we could have had lunch together. Another time.
