Emma woke up this morning and told me that her ear was "copying her". The dr was impressed with this description once I explained Emma was hearing an echo.
We are headed to out to dinner tonight to celebrate my neice's 6th birthday with a group of 20. Should be interesting!

What a cute description!!

Enjoy dinner out with that big group!!

Good to see you back!!

So I was all set to post on this thread and did once, then my laptop decided to not to cooperate. Now it's finally fixed. So I am saying  again!

There is no way I will have the time to catch up on all that has gone on here, I skimmed through some of the last few pages. Here are :grouphug: and pixiedust: to all who need them. And :cheer2: on all the victories, big or little.

I have spent the morning at the pediatrician with both DD's. My oldest has an ear infection in each ear that are very bad. Apparently leftover from the end of January. Her dr was amazed that she was so happy. Emma woke up this morning and told me that her ear was "copying her". The dr was impressed with this description once I explained Emma was hearing an echo. Molly, we are suspecting allergies. She is congested and just can't kick it.

Welcome! Sorry to hear about the ear infections. I really hate those. It's worse when your child has a high pain tolerance. My oldest never feels pain in her ears until literally minutes before her eardrums burst.

Have fun at dinner tonight! I love celebrating birthday's with family!

I'll go ahead & post this.
I'll catch up later.
I'm back around page 670.
My bedroom project is finished.
The bedding arrived today.
Perfect timing.
My :cat: Sunny get sick on my bed today.
Here is a picture of my bed with the new bedding.
mynewbedroom-2.jpg

By the way this is Sunny.
My baby girl.
mynewbedroom-1.jpg

This picture shows the color much better.
Pretty plain without pictures on the wall.
Trying to get packed.
I'm thinking when I get into an apt.
To keep this color as an accent wall.
My Co. allows 1 accent wall per room.

Honest do the colors match.
I'm part color blind, so I'm really asking.

Now to do Ramiro room this weekend.
Then the inside is done. :woohoo:

It looks beautiful, Jo! Nice job. The colors and bedding are very peaceful.

Can't remember if I posted this so here it goes:

My mom will be going in for her biopsy of the spot on her liver tommorow morning at 10:30 east coast time...8:30 CO time. Please pray for her....and for a quick diagnosis.

I'm a little late, but the prayers are still there for you. I hope the biopsy went well and the news is good.

I am talking to my mom right now...biopsy went okay but won't know anything until Tuesday. It's more of the hurry up and wait game! :confused3

The boys watch the Little Einstein's every morning. I find myself wondering why the show isn't called the little Mozart's as everything revolves around mucic. Eisnstein was brilliant, but as far as I know he wasn't a musician.? :confused3 .

Just a fleeting wonder on an overcast day.

Deb

Phil calls it Little Bizet's as they play so much Georges Bizet music. Of all the composors out there they have an awful lot of Bizet music, relatively speaking.

Thinking of your Mom right now.

Jo your room looks great!!!

Thanks to all for the monster advice. I'm not sure I could get her to watch Monsters Inc but that would be great because the girls' room doesn't have a closet. Emma's been playing with the Monsters happy meal toys but she's pretty stuborn about what movies she'll watch. For a while it was Where the Wild Things Are every night. Now its Pooh(we got at least 10 different ones...), Bob the Builder and Dinosaur. Dinosaur seems a little scary to me but she loves it. She has a big rubber dino that my sister's boyfriend gave her for Christmas. Maybe I should put him at the foot of her bed to protect her.

Terra watches some things that I would think are scary too, but she loves them. Have you ridden the Dinosaur ride at AK? When we were waiting for my parents to get off of the ride, she fell in love with the big dinosaur toy that is just like the big one that lunges at you on the ride. I think he's a pretty scary looking toy, but she loves her "Curly Q". Yes, the dino's name is Curly Q.

Well, he is scheduled for a few TDY's (trips) lasting from a few days to two weeks for the next six plus months. As of now his next LONG deployment is scheduled for Jan 07 for four months.
So if anyone wants to visit me (Napa, San Fransico area) next year... come on over.
Thank you for asking.

Oooo, I'd love to visit the Napa/San Fransisco area. Unfortunately, our CA trips take us further trips. (Well, not too unfortunately since my best friend lives a half mile form DL.)

Speaking of that...I know a few people are heading to DL this year. I think it's earlier than most, but is anyone heading there in May? I think we're going to go sometime that month but haven't decided when yet.

We'll be there June 4-7. That's right after our kids are out of school, but before DH's big freelance project starts up. I can't wait!

How fun! I LOVE big family dinners like that. It's the one thing I miss from being home. Just my family makes for a dinner of 12. When we head to OK to see the rest of the family, we've been known to have 30-40. Have a great time.

I hope that the girls are feeling better. Emma's description was a good one. I think kids explain how they feel better than we do sometimes.

mommy2emmersNmo - I just had to say that I have a picture of my sister that looks just like Emma's in your signature. She was 5yo and I was taking her on her first trip to WDW. We had a Mickey bar as soon as we arrived at the hotel and she is posing exactly like that!

Oh, we'll just miss you by a couple of weeks. We're trying to get out there before the summer AP blackout dates start (or get more difficult to work with), but my parent's are coming here that week. Have a great trip!

I'm hoping that my dates work for the in-laws because then I get to go to DL on my birthday. Yippee!!

I have never ridden the Dinosaur ride. My DH took Lizzy on with my girlfriend and her DD but at the last minute my friend's DD chickened out even though she had been on before and it was her idea to go on but DH still brought Lizzy on. She was 5 at the time. When she got off she said she didn't like it but she didn't seem too traumatized by it. I'll have to check out the shops for Emma! She's my dino lover. She actually likes anything with big teeth (sharks, tigers...). Joe never really showed much interest in them and Lizzy is all princess. I wish Lucky would come back to AK. I never got to see him (or is it her?).

Sorry for the late response, I was at reserve duty yesterday and was NOT:guilty: supposed to be in a “chat” room when I posted. The government doesn’t :sad2: like it when we are on website we shouldn’t be on during government time. (Don’t tell my commander:rolleyes1 ).

Thanks for explaining it Paula - I am not military, nor is anybody in my family... so I couldn't offer congratulations because I didn't quite understand it. I still don't quite understand except for one thing - CONGRATULATIONS for a job well done. Giving the short initials for military screws me up, and I almost posted asking for help but didn't want to look like a fool. Then I realized; everybody probably thinks I'm a fool anyway! So if you can remember to "civilianize" things every now and then, then I can jump in too!

Glynis - love your approach with your professor. In the light of day, you sure are seeing things well. Give 'em heck girl!

Denise - did the boys have karate yet? What did they think???

I am very sorry for not "civilianizing" my posts:blush:. I must tell you the other day I caught myself speaking to another military member and I almost said "my Disney Husband and Disney Daughter #1". I laughed inside so much.:rotfl:

Please, please, :) please always ask if I just go on and on about something that I don't "civilianize". I get so excited and forget to slow down and explain myself.

Military lingo 1O1 :ssst:... TDY =Temporary Duty (the Y is said to stand for yonder, this was from many many years ago). So if I say DH is TDY that means he is out on a trip with the military.

DH last fall, he will get another stripe on top now. Well, it's the one will will get because of the promotion, but can't put it on until next fall or Jan 07.

DH and I almost 2 yrs ago year. I now have one strip on top.
