Denise - good to see you 'pop' in, hope things are going well.

Great news on BK!!!

Thanks. Actually today was a REALLY good day! :cool1: :sunny:  Rees had a GREAT day at school (they all did) and the Director of his preschool (this is their 3rd year there) is going to write a letter for his IEP stating her firm position that Rees needs to be in a mainstreamed classroom as he does awesome in "her" school. I was so happy to know she felt the same and supported Rees!

So it's been a good day, except I have PINK EYE! Oh, the joys of teaching preschool... :rotfl: DH went to the doctor today (still running a fever, and now the flu is bronchitis and sinus infection.) But, he got meds and got me eye drops, so we should be on the mend.

The boys start Karate tomorrow. Rees' evals are Friday at 1pm, so I'll take any prayers you can spare for that.

It's nice to be happy! :goodvibes

quick note to everyone who pmed me about the bags -
Did you see the post on the Theme Park Attractions & Strategies Board where someone was looking for a bag? Oops, I just see that it was moved to the Community Board. Here's the link:
http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1051158

Sounds like she's looking for something a little different than your bags, but I'm sure she'd love them as much as we do!

Ironing is a MAN's job - they teach it in the military!!!!

DH puts my uniform together for my weekend duty because he does a much better job than I do. He is the uniform king/natzi.
So yes they do teach a man how to iron.:thumbsup2

Hooray for a good day (despite the pink eye)!!! :cheer2: That's great that the preschool director is going to write a letter for you. I hope it helps. I hope that DH is feeling better soon too.

Karate should be a nice distraction for Rees before his busy day on Friday. You will definitely be in our prayers throughout the day on Friday. Prayers for understanding and helpful evaluators and that Rees will get what he both needs and deserves. :grouphug: :wizard:

We saw Ricky Martin at the Aladdin on the Friday night, huge crowd and he was great, then Saturday we saw 'O' at the Bellagio. If you go to this show the stage effects are part of the amazing show so don't sit too close as you don't get the overall effect.

Where are you staying??

We are staying at Harrahs this time...it's not my favorite...but the location is great, plus they offered a fantastic rate. We saw KA last time...it wasn't my favorite. Bill wants to see Mystique...I think I am one of the few people in the world that don't love the whole Cirque De Soleil (sp?) thing. He said he wants to do a Karaokee duet :rotfl: I'm not sure there's enough liquor in vegas for me to do that!! :rotfl2:

Yeah!! for a good day!! :cheer2:

I will be thinking about you on Friday. If you need to, the school district should have to provide an advocate for Rees during IEP evaluations. In the 2 school districts I have worked with in 2 different states this was the case. Our IEP evaluations were pieces of cake comparatively, so we didn't need the service, it might be something to think about if you feel the need for one more voice in Rees' corner. Go triplefigs!! :cheer2:

You can count my whole family in on the not getting the Cirque thing. Can't even stand thinking about sitting still for that long just watching people move around. Sounds like a fun weekend and if there's not enough liquor in Vegas for a Karoake duet where is there enough? :confused3 :lmao:

Denise - Glad to hear things went well for the triplets today, especially Rees. Sounds like his IEP will work out well. We'll keep praying for that! Congrats to BK on her remarkable strides. Sounds like we have some very courageous children on the DDA.

KC10-Congrats on your husband's promotion! That is so exciting. What branch of the military is he/you in, if you don't mind my asking. We are so proud of the military here in our family. Each evening we start our family prayers with a blessing on the military. Thank you for the sacrifice you all make for us! You probably don't hear it enough, but I really appreciate it!

Well, I've had a bit of a depressing day, today. I've been having problems with one of my classes, and so I asked the professor for some clarification on an assignment. He emailed me today, telling me that perhaps I'm not ready for graduate level classes, and maybe I should consider transferring out. I'm completely perplexed since I've been taking graduate level classes for 2 semesters, and have gotten A's and A-'s. With this particular professor, I've done every assignment and gotten 100% on every assignment. So, this comment of his came out of the blue for me. I was always taught that if you had a question, to ask the teacher for help. Well, I did this, and was completely shut down.

DH is on his way home from work to take me out to dinner to get my mind off the whole thing. What a sweetie!

Don't take it too hard. Who knows what kind of day this guy had. I've run into the same thing with my broker...some days I feel like I am working for Sybil!!!
