The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 29

So I have been having major Florida withdrawals ever since I got back from my cruise. It is getting worse because there is an event every weekend through like December that I want to attend down there. I never really appreciated living so close to WDW, Sea World, Universal and all the other things that are down there until I left there.

I need to get motivated and clean and do other things but all I want to do is look at jobs and places to move down there. I am not ready for another PA winter but I doubt moving would occur to well after the Winter. If it even occurs anytime soon.

I did basically empty all the suitcases except my carry on. It is filled with souvenirs mostly Christmas ornaments I picked up one at each island we stopped at. Not sure what I am doing with them yet. Some places they were easy to find others like Cozumel was darn near impossible. I never did find one that said Cozumel, the one I got only said Mexico.

Hi, all. Thank you so much for the prayers and notes of support for Rees (and me!). Keep your fingers crossed. Today is the best in a week. His appetite was better, and his stomach was only distended and hard three times. He still has bouts of pain, but hopefully this new med is the answer.

He will remain in my prayers! What do the doctor's want to do?

I always choose and purchase my own presents too. I have GREAT taste!! However, last year the girls took their Dad aside and told him to "get with it!" Kristin took him shopping and I got perfume I had mentioned that I liked that I would never have purchased for myself. That was a very nice surprise!

I wish my kids were old enough to do that! At this point, they have no idea what I like. Jacob wanted to get me toys last year (sneaky, huh? He knew I wouldn't play with them, and he'd get them by default!). Oh well. I don't mind. At least this way, I know I'll get what I like. For me, the best part of Christmas is my children's faces! That's my real present!

Big fat pen, for the characters to sign said autograph pages.

Walmart has clipboards that open up so that you can store things inside them. We used a lime green one and stocked it full of sharpies all different colors. We either picked one that went well with the autograph page's color scheme or we let the character choose the one that they wanted to use :thumbsup2

I love Terra's haircut. I almost didn't recognize her as she has grown up so much since the picture in your signature.

All the tie dye shirts are done!!! Using only one color was much easier than doing multiple colors and they ended up multicolored anyway with different shades of blue. I think that they all came out really well. I feel so ahead of the game on my Christmas shopping. I may start wrapping soon :thumbsup2

I have also packed up more of the kids summer clothes. Now I need to head downstairs and drag out the winter stuff. I also need to be at work at 4 PM. Thankfully my back is only a little sore so it shouldn't be hard to work tonight. Oh yeah, I also pulled out our toiletries and packed our quart sized ziplock bags :lmao:

Here are some pictures to share

Hi Deb! Thanks for the hair comment! I'm still getting used to it.

BTW...did you pick a wall color or leaning towards one more than the other?

Debbie - I am glad you are feeling better! :)

Elizabeth - I had hoped that DH and DS would get gobs of $$ for his leftovers... byr $20 is better than nothing! ;)

Tia - I hope you enjoyed lunch!

Sounds like you need to job hunt in earnest, Becky. I realize you haven't been in your position very long, but it really appears you would love to be in FL full-time!

I hear what you are saying, Glynis. The real enjoyment I have at Christmas is choosing presents for everyone else and watching them open them! I always feel let-down when they are done opening theirs, even if mine lay, unopened, at my feet!

Deb - I think the shirts turned out really well! I also like the single color.

Liked the kids' birthday photo and... oh, yeah.... the one of some lamp posts ;)

That's it exactly!!! I think that's why I try to prolong Christmas morning! We get up and have cinnamon toast and orange juice before anything. Then we'll do the Santa stuff and stockings. Then we take a break and move upstairs for breakfast before digging into the presents. I'll try to take a break halfway through, too, but that usually doesn't go over very well. I just want to savor everything that is going on.

Deb - I love the shirts! I wasn't sure about the single color but I LOVE it!!!

Alan says to tell you he loves the lamp posts!!!

I haven't even thought about wall color. I've been busy with everything else and haven't found time for home improvements. I can't imagine having a free weekend to paint until after Christmas.

I just blew my top and yelled at all 4 boys for sitting around doing NOTHING while I was trying to get something, anything done. Now they are all frantically working and I'm leaving for work, umm I mean a break ;)

Deb,
The shirts came out fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chanon,
Hair looks great!!!

I just cover my grays with loreal! ;) I used to have partial highlights around my face but going to the salon every 6 weeks for touch ups was too much maintenance for me so I just leave it it's natural color now.

Cute!

That's cute. I have often thought of changing my hair color, but I don't want to deal with the upkeep so I just go o natural. That is until I start getting grey hair, then I will become good friends with Miss Clairol :lmao:

I like having highlights, but they are a pain to keep up with. And it's expensive!:scared: Better to just be my natural, mousy color!

Debbie - I am glad you are feeling better! :)

Elizabeth - I had hoped that DH and DS would get gobs of $$ for his leftovers... byr $20 is better than nothing! ;)

Half Price Books never pays much, but it's not like we were going to get more money for the items if we took them somewhere else!:rotfl2:

Tia, how was lunch?

DH and I talk about moving to FL sometimes, but the logistics of it make me tired!

I already KNOW what is in all of my presents because I buy them all! I like to see DH and DS open theirs!
