I just checked the weather forecast starting on the 17th & it looks pretty good for the start of our trip! I know this can change, so I will keep my fingers crossed. Looks good for the night of the party too :cool1:

Sounds like you have a lot of packing to do Vicki. I can't wait to meet you all, I am really starting to get excited now :yay:

Have a great day all, I need to get to work.

Vicki have a safe trip & I will see you soon :thumbsup2

Good morning, DDA!

Have fun packing, everyone!:)

Denise - I hope Rees continues to improve!:wizard:

Nothing much going on here today. Laundry and grocery shopping. I did end up bidding on a few auctions yesterday but it looks like I will lose all of them. There is one person who keeps buying up all of the pin lots I have bid on. I am tempted to pay some ridiculous amount just to beat her, but I won't.;)

Good Morning DDA,

I'm not going to "say" it out loud, but I think I might be on the mend finally.

Tom thank you for the post card, sorry to hear that you got sick also, hope you're feeling better soon.

Congrats to all of you leaving soon, wish I were joining you.

Denise, I'm glad to hear that Rees is making some improvement, many hugs and PD to all of you.

I have been reading along periodically, and I loved all the pictures that have been posted.

Debbie

Debbie - I hope you are finally well!:wizard:

DH and DS have headed off to Goodwill and Half Price Books to get rid of the stuff we pulled out of DS's room yesterday. I just have the box for Princess and a bag of stuff for the elementary school that I will have to deal with. Hopefully Goodwill is open and it won't take forever at Half Price. They took books, puzzles, videos and a few other things to sell so it might take awhile for them to get an offer. DH was griping that Half Price doesn't pay very much for things, but the other choice is to just donate everything and get NO money for them. DS likes money, so might as well take whatever amount Half Price offers and be done with it.:confused3

Thanks Elizabeth

Steffy, you asked in a post quite a few pages back if I had posted a recipe, it wasn't me.

Tia, your pictures were great and you had some wonderful ones of Terra, I hope you don't mind but I took the liberty of adding my Ariel frame to this one,

I'm waiting on DH to get back form Lowes, we just had a flood in the kitchen, our disposal went out and leaked all up under the cabinet. It's always something.

Great picture and love the addition Deb. Glad you are starting to feel better.

However I think I missed the pictures Tia posted. Can someone direct me to there location.

We just got back from the competition...the kids actually lost a ton of pts from last week but they had a BUNCH of revisions they were given 5 days ago. The wind was absolutely horrendous and the field was icky. Cassidy was just telling us the band before they performed had a kid fall and break her instrument and probably a bone. :sad1:

The revisions were because the audience and judges weren't "seeing" the show as was envisioned and the extras were only seen as deterents. The kids perform in Regionals on Monday night at 8. Pixie Dust passing here in Colorado about then would be greatly appreciated.
Hope that kid is OK!

For Monday:wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I've shown them that I could do it before. I will NOT work during these 5 days.
:thumbsup2 You are all going to have such a great time!!!

Hi, all. Thank you so much for the prayers and notes of support for Rees (and me!). Keep your fingers crossed. Today is the best in a week. His appetite was better, and his stomach was only distended and hard three times. He still has bouts of pain, but hopefully this new med is the answer.
Continued prayers for the entire fig family! Hope this new med continues to bring Rees relief!:wizard:

Well I managed to trim my nails and I've searched the internet for a Winnie the Pooh 10 lb bowling ball. I cannot find one and that is what Hunter really wants. For some reason I can find them in smaller or larger sizes, but not the size that we need. Ugh. Hopefully he will pick out a different design.
I didn't know that you could get bowling balls with 'things' on them. How cool! Could you get him a different one and then "customize" a bag?

Good Morning DDA,

I'm not going to "say" it out loud, but I think I might be on the mend finally.
:wizard: Not too long before we go! :wizard: Hope you continue to mend!!!!

Becky-those are SO cool!!! Thanks for the link!

I saw a wine tasting book at J Jill and almost bought it for my friend that I'm going with in Nov but was thinking I could come something. These are SO cool!

I always choose and purchase my own presents too. I have GREAT taste!! However, last year the girls took their Dad aside and told him to "get with it!" Kristin took him shopping and I got perfume I had mentioned that I liked that I would never have purchased for myself. That was a very nice surprise!

I must be lucky cause Hal usually listens to me when I mention what I would like for Christmas. Or I tell my DD and she tells him. He has even surprised me by getting things that I would never have thought he would even know I would like.!!!

Oh, thank you, Debbie! I  it!

They have the Pirate costumes at Disney that you could get for him.

I bought a Tigger Disney Water Baby to get Nicky's costume. The Disney Water Baby got some hand me down clothes from another doll and was donated to Goodwill.

Others buy stuffed animals or dolls at Goodwill for the clothes. Others sew them.

You could just make him a matching t-shirt if you guys are wearing them.

Either we will buy him a Pirate's costume when we get there or he will go as Sorcerer Mickey since no T-shirts this trip. Thanks, Vicki!

I leave today and won't be back again until next Sunday. That leaves me 3 days at home. I'm trying to get some stuff packed this morning. Right now, I'm packing 3 bags. One for work this week, one for the scrapbooking week-end with my cousin (next Friday), and my Disney one.

Becky & Chuck went to church and I told them I was staying home packing. Of course, I had to check in here first.

And we are glad you did! :goodvibes

Can you believe the time she took to do all that? Amazing, and much appreciated by all of us too!

Tia - Thanks for re-posting the link! I meant to look at your pics the other day, but I was at work and the computer there is poky about loading pics. Terra doesn't have that "baby" look anymore. She has a "little girl" face now.:)

DS got $20.00 from Half Price Books. He is aggravating me because he still only wants "real" money and no Disney Dollars. He thinks our next trip is 10 months from now, so he can't grasp WHY he should be putting money aside for Disney.:headache: He only has $15 Disney Dollars and about $2 left on a gift card. He also doesn't have that much time to save up for the December trip. I guess I should save up some Disney Dollars as part of his Christmas present so he will have some money.
