Can you give me details on the washer/dryer. Mom is still looking for one. I think you said Maytag, but which model. How does it work? Will it hold a king sized comforter? Does it shake alot? I know that she will ask me all those questions.

Bowling went well this morning. All 3 boys had at least one good game. We came home and gave Colby and me a short nap. Now we are heading back to the bowling alley for Nick's party. Hopefully it will be fun.

My back is much better today, still a bit sore, but much much better. I think extra rest is exactly what I needed :thumbsup2

I'm so glad that your back is feeling better!!!!

Hooray for the boys bowling!!! I bowled for the first time 4 years ago, and this is the first year that I'm seeing a consistency in my bowling. It's kind of thrilling to see that I'm improving in that regard. It sure helps my enjoyment of the game. Luckily, I belong to a league where socialization is the main point of the game! I told them, as soon as it stops being fun, I'm outta there!

Thanks, Tia! I hope you found some real gems at the garage sale. :thumbsup2

Well, Terra sure thinks that we did. She came home with a Chicken Croquet game. Pretty goofy, but still fun and (the big plus) doesn't take very long to play.

UGH! I have been cleaning DS's room for the past FOUR hours!:headache: And all I have managed to do is make a bigger mess! There is a HUGE pile of crap in the middle of the room that I pulled out from under the bed. There are pieces of all sorts of things in little piles here and there. I have almost filled the hallway with stuff to donate, sell at Half Price Books, give to Princess, or throw away. How can his room still be such a wreck when we have taken so much stuff OUT?:scared1: I need another box for train track pieces, but I have decided to take a little break.

That's usually the way it goes! Just keep remembering how much you took out of there! We're doing Katie's room today, and I'm feeling the same way you are! Hopefully, it will end soon!

OMG is it time for Disney yet?????:dance3: :dance3:

My DGD did a book report on a historical novel set in 1974. Yes, you read right 1974. Back in medieval times when girls weren’t allowed to play sports.:faint:

The plumber is here to replace my leaky faucet. My ancient plumbing doesn’t have the same connection as my new faucet. This has caused a major problem and it is looking like he will have to replace the supply lines with PCV. You wanna know how old my ancient house is? 56 same as me.:scared1:

The cable man just left. He was complaining about how many splits were in my decrepit cable that wasn’t outputting enough signal. I told him to replace my flipping modem. He kept going around my house with his flipping meter telling me how one of my weak splitters was probably dried up and depleting the signal. Finally when he sat in front of my computer, he saw that the flipping modem wasn’t recognizing my IP. You know, I was building computers before he was a glint in his father’s eye.

I need to go where it is never too late to have a happy childhood. I need to go where I can be 10 years old again. :smickey:

I need to go where I am not the mother of a child old enough to star in a historical novel. I need to go where 56 is not antiquated and in need of replacement. I need to be where the cable repairman graduated preschool!!

I NEED MY HAPPY SPOT!!!!!:dance3: :dance3: :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

Okay, back to cleaning my room while he welds my pipes. ;)

Hi everyone--
Well its a lovely saturday and im stuck in the house...definitely feelilng worse today so took some meds, took a nap, and here i am! Guess im not going out tonight!

BTW, I am several days behind because I couldn't connect to the internet because of my flipping modem. :surfweb: Even my OCD is not allowing me to go back and read. I have no time.:sad1:

Somebody please catch me up and Tom if you posted pictures, please tell me what pages!!!:cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I sent an email to my coworkers telling them that I'm going to my Happy Place and won't be available by phone or computer! They don't think I can do it. I told them we are talking about "MY HAPPY PLACE".

Parking is $12 a day at the port. You need to pay when you park for the entire time. To park at the Residence Inn you pay $6 per person round trip to ride the shuttle. If you have not checked out my trip report I have a bunch of pictures in there from the Residence Inn as that is where I stayed in September.

The most formal rotation restaurant would be Triton's, what night you end up there depends on the rotation you receive. Also you can let your travel agent know if you would like early or late dining, this is just a request. Early dinning is around 5:30-6pm. Late dinning is around 8pm. If you have early dinner you watch the show after dinner, if you have late dinner you watch the show before you eat.

Although DCL designates a night which is more formal which may or may not be the night you are in Triton's. Pirate night has recently been on Castaway Cay night on the 4 night. Some people dress up on Pirate night, others don't. It appeared to me more people dressed up on the 7 night then the 4 night cruise. Although people still did dress up. DCL provides pirate bandannas to everyone at dinner.

You can book dinner at Palo 75 days out. If you do not get a spot online do not panic. These save most of the reservations for once you arrive on board. You can book as soon as you get onboard. You can also stop at Palo later to see if they have open space or to go on a waiting list. We had booked online for brunch one day and ended up changing to a different day once on board.

As for snorkeling equipment you may be able to buy it cheaper then you can rent it. Some places might still have it on clearance. If you do that then the kids could try it out and get comfortable with it before you go. Which I highly recommend. Some kids take awhile to understand the concept of breathing through your mouth instead of your nose. I know it is another thing to lug then but the kids could get comfortable with it, even if it is just in the bath tub.

As for pictures I always asked somebody to take a picture with my camera and didn't buy any. Lots of people had them take pictures with their personal camera. The only difference is most of the pictures they take have a graphic design around them or on them. I know if I had kids though I would probably think differently. I truly wish they would set up a photopass system and you could buy a CD full o pictures.

I hope this helps. If you have any other questions ask away.

I started reading your report & I love your pictures & descriptions. Thanks Becky!!!!!!!

Stephanie - I think houses age in dog years, which means your house is 392. No wonder the pipes and wiring are bad!:rotfl2: I think men who repair DSL connections are required to make idiotic remarks. Especially if they work for AT&T in Texas.

Glynis - I hope you are making more headway than I am! DH came in DS's room for about 5 minutes, then he decided he couldn't help and he went to take a nap. I decided he was right, and I went to take a nap, too! But I really need to get back in there.:scared:

I know that you are having a bad day, but this post had me :rotfl: :rotfl:

:wizard: :wizard: That things improve quickly. Less than 2 weeks and you will be in your happy place, we all will be. :cool1:

The birthday party is done. The kids all had fun and best of all it was very little work on my part. Now to get something done around here.

Who all is bringing their Pal Mickey to Disney for the October DDA trip? Nicky is coming. He still hasn't decided what outfit he plans to wear. He is leaning toward dressing like Tigger. He knows how much I love Tigger!!!!! He figures then maybe if we see Tigger, I'll get some extra attention thanks to him. :dance3:

Hello everyone! Just think, we only have one more full week of work & then it will be time to get ready to head to Disney :dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Im so excited! my cousin from colorado is going to come here for the week after christmas! i have the week off and we were originally going to go to vegas, but we cant do that..so shes going to come here!! i cant wait

Chris says that he will be bringing Brooksie. We'll see if he remembers :lmao:

I just managed to swap Colby's wardrobe around. Thanks to all his brother's hand me downs he has at least 20 pairs of pants hanging in his closet now. I don't think that boy needs any more pants  I even sent a whole bag of extra clothes over to Logan. :rotfl:

I never ordered the personalized maps from disney.com and was looking to do so. For those who did order, would I be better off choosing a lot or a few (or even no) favorites? How do they show up on the map?

Thanks!

I didn't choose any favorites on ours. They are all shown on the map. I can't remember exactly how they were separated but the way it came I had wished that I had chosen my favorites. I just remember thinking it looked kind of funny the way it came because I hadn't chosen any favorites. I can't find it right now (my office is still in a mess) or I would take a picture to post it for you.

Tia,

It shows up as Your Favorites first then Suggestions and last Even More Fun.
