Well, it's true.:goodvibes

We are having a rough time with Emma as of late and I just hope that Eric and I have it in us to get her and us through it. It's just heartwarming to see that pride in your "voice" when you talk about them and it gives me the hope and strength to keep pushing forward.

Oh, my! That is quite a lofty compliment. It humbles me to know you think of my family that way, Robyn. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

WOW! What a quick response. Thanks, Tia. The "mother" part of me worries about her finding a hotel in a decent area. My brother in Burlington may actually ask her to stay with him, but I think she really wants to see what it is like staying downtown Boston. We stayed in the Burlington Marriott when we were there last summer, so I know she would like to stay closer to her interview areas. Thanks so much for the input... it means the world to me!

If she sticks with the theater district, near her interviews, near the Public Gardens, near the waterfront/financial district, or even in Cambridge near MIT or Harvard she should be in all good areas. Those areas all stay pretty busy throughout the day and evening. She'll need to take the regular precautions in a city, but she's probably already used to doing that.

Well I am off here to finish cleaning up and get myself to bed.

My cousin stopped in for a short visit, he is in from Dallas for the weekend. He got to meet Lucy. He is going to be her God father. She was mesmerized by him, it was so cute!

Tomorrow is my aunt's dessert party so it bodes for a long evening. I am trying to convince myself that when I see all those desserts I won't be the least tempted. I restarted Weight Watchers last week and I don't want to blow the progress I've made so far (down 5lbs). I hoping that I will be overwhelmed by all the offerings that I won't be able to decide what to eat and will then eat nothing :rolleyes1

Have a great evening and weekend. I'll try to check in on Sunday.

Robyn,

That is great 5lbs!!!. just think that each dessert is too many points in one day. Thousands!!!!!

Sorta :lmao: :lmao:

You can do it

Alrighty all, I think that I am off to finish watching the game in bed. I had the last game of the night spot. Makes for a long night if I want to see it all.

Happy Saturday everyone!

The kids are watching a movie so I was over on the cruise board looking at posts on the DCL. I have alot to learn!!! We decided on driving down for a few reasons. One, the fares are so high Passover week from NY, & two it would be convinient to have our own car when going to the port & from the port to Disneyworld. Thats less $ I have to save up for a hired car or shuttle. Another plus to driving would be the packing aspect. I am going to pack suitcases just for the cruise. Another suitcase just for WDW that I can leave in the car & not have to drag onto the ship. Right now we are booked 2 rooms at Pop, but I hope a good AP rate comes out for deluxe & maybe we can switch to Poly or CR. Our April trip may be the only one for 2008. With Daniels school & just day to day bills & expenses (& the rising cost of a disney vacation) we may not be able to go in August, which is fine (ok not fine but you know what I mean!) since we are going in April. We have never been to the F&G festival so I am looking forward to that.

Are you going to park at the port? Or are you going to stay at a nearby hotel the night before and park there for the time you are cruising?

I recommend that you book your WDW and DCL sections separately as it is normally cheaper to do it that way. Plus you get more flexibility with where you can stay at WDW as they align the staterooms up with different levels of WDW hotels if you book a package.

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. I love talking about Disney Cruise Line.

If not, I would suggest the Mickey and Walt Statue. Isn't that called the "Friends" statue. What better place to take a picture of a group of friends ;)

Since nobody has posted the correct name. Actually that statue of Mickey and Walt is called Partners.:thumbsup2

Tom thank you for the postcard. Bring on the pictures. Feel better soon. :wizard:

Denise- Sending prayers and good thoughts to you and your family.

My favorite apple is the pineapple.  Actually I love gala and mcintosh.

Deb- My Mary Jane Crocs are too wide. I truly wish they were narrower my feet slide all over in them. But I have very long narrow feet. I think they are narrower then regular Crocs but still too wide for my feet. I hope they work out for you. Hope your back feels great soon.

Theresa- Feel better soon. Great pictures.

Robyn- Hope you stop having issues with Emma. I know you are a great Mom and she is a great kid. Just try and have patience with her. I hope it is just a phase that ends quickly. You and Eric are great with the girls and I know they will be fantastic adults. Just hang in there. Good luck getting through the weekend making healthy choices.

Sending good thoughts to Kathrin that she finds a job perfect for her.:wizard: :wizard:

I think I am off to bed or at least to read something. Night all. Have a great weekend.

Hi, everyone! I'm back!!!

Tom - I love the pictures. Keep it coming!!!

Robyn - Good to see you! Good luck with all the desserts tomorrow. Just take one, and nibble slowly. You'll be fine!

Becky - Good to hear from you, too! How's the job?

Deb - I've never tried the Mary Jane's, but I did try on the Croc Mammoths, last weekend, and the fleece liner makes them a lot narrower. I can't wait to own me a pair!

Alan and I had a fun night! It was raining buckets when we left the house, so we scrapped IKEA. Alan didn't want to strap anything on the top of the car to be rained on all evening. So, we stopped by the theater and got our tickets for the movie, and then went looking for a place to eat. We found a little "hole in the wall" called Una. It's a Mediterranian place. Very yummy! We made it to HP with 10 minutes to spare. I was afraid I wouldn't enjoy the movie as much as I did the first time, but I really did!!! I think it's an excellent adaptation of the book. After the movie, we stopped at Maggie Moo's and split a strawberry cheesecake creation. Yummo!!!

Alan got called in to work tomorrow, so I guess we won't be doing much during the day. Ratatouille is playing at the dollar theater, so I think we'll be taking the kids to see it tomorrow night. I'm really looking forward to it.

Night, all! Have a great weekend!!!

Deb- My Mary Jane Crocs are too wide. I truly wish they were narrower my feet slide all over in them. But I have very long narrow feet. I think they are narrower then regular Crocs but still too wide for my feet. I hope they work out for you. Hope your back feels great soon.

Good point, Becky. Although, I will say that I tried on both Mary Jane styles. The ones with the normal crocs holes are wider than those with no holes at all. I have a narrow foot too, and found that the "hole-less" Mary Janes were too snug fitting in my size. Going up a size only made them too long. So, I got the ones with the holes instead.

I am going to try to go back to sleep for a bit this morning. We are headed back to see Kristin in her show again tonight, with 8 friends going to dinner beforehand again. So, it will be another long night. I need more sleep!!

So, Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

and good night! ;)

Morning everyone, hope you all have a great Sat.

This won't help Deb as she ordered her Crocs before I got the post card. The Crocs website is offering free shipping, the code is fall2007.

Elizabeth-I got a 125 count Zoob set tonight.:thumbsup2 I think he'll really like it.

Cool! I can't remember how many pieces are in DS's set. I think I bought him one set, then found another huge set on clearance so he has a bunch.

I think August will be our only trip for 2008. BUT if I get to go for 16 nights hopefully I won't mind only going once.;) I am intimidated by cruising. Too many details!

this week was hectic. i had scheduled 5 interviews and only 2 showed up. i am going to hire one to be my night attendant and ask the other to be a back up and maybe work every so often. i trained with my boss today on what i am to say when i call people. he said i did good but i need to train one more day with his wife and i should be good to go by then. so by next Friday i will start working:cool1:

Karen - It sounds like interviewing attendants is kind of like interviewing nannies. They only show up for interviews if they feel like it.:sad2: Of course there are good ones out there, but it is tricky to find them!
I hope the new job goes well!:)

I think I may have found the perfect Christmas gift for Joe.:cool1:

He would LOVE this EyeClops:

http://www.jakks.com/

You plug it into your TV then hold it up to an object and it shows the object magnafied 200X on your TV. He would so be all over this thing!!!!

They advertise that on TV all the time. It does look neat!

Wow, I was thinking ahead and didn't even realize it! It dawned on me today that our anniversary was really close to the dates I was thinking of if we can to in May. I was just getting ready to update my ticker and other info when I realized, it already is included! :bounce: If we get to go, we'll be celebrating my birthday and our anniversary in WDW!!

That would be terrific! I'll try to think about a restaurant to suggest.

That was just the sweetest thing anyone could have said, Robyn. Thanks so much... :goodvibes  I am SO proud of her work ethic and her desire to spread her wings.

And, to quote Tom... I feel like I am going to bore you all at times, but our kids and lives are all so important to us all, I know you all would really understand! Thanks, friends.

You're not boring me! You give me hope that there is light at the end of the tunnel!:rotfl2: DH has an incredible work ethic, and I think that is something very hard to find. I hope DS matures into a responsible member of the work force. Right now he tends to be rather complacent.

Robyn - I think girls are harder than boys once they hit about age 5. Hang in there! PM if you want my advice on anything. Not that it would work, but maybe having another perspective would give you some new ideas.

So today we tackle DS's room!:scared: He is actually looking forward to it. That is a SURE sign that we have let things go too far! I brought home a big empty Pampers box from work, but I'm sure that will be full in about 10 minutes. I'm trying to stay off of EvilBay this weekend so it's good that I have a project. I would take a "before" pic, but I am embarrassed at what a disaster it is. Perhaps just an "after" pic.;)

Oh, my! That is quite a lofty compliment. It humbles me to know you think of my family that way, Robyn. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

You're welcome
