Thanks for all the picture compliments! :)

Tia and Robyn, I loved your pictures too! :goodvibes

My cousin sent me this recipe and it reminded me of you all. I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds delicious, and my cousin is a great cook!

Blueberry Surprise French-Toast Casserole

12 Slices dry white bread, cut into 1/2” cubes
2 packages (8 ounce) cream cheese, cut into 3/4” cubes
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
12 eggs
2 cups milk
½ cup pure maple syrup

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Place half of the bread cubes over the bottom of a well-buttered, 13x9x2 inch baking dish. Sprinkle cream cheese and blueberries over bread cubes; top with remaining bread cubes.
Beat the eggs with a rotary beater or whisk in a large bowl; beat in the milk and syrup. Carefully pour egg mixture over bread mixture. Cover with foil; chill in the refrigerator 2 to 24 hours/
Bake, covered, 25 minutes. Uncover; bake until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean and topping is golden brown, 25 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes. Serve warm with additional syrup.

NOTE: To dry bread, arrange slices in a single layer on a wire rack, cover loosely and let stand overnight. Or cut bread into ½” cubes, spread in a large baking pan and bake, uncovered, in a 300-degree oven 10-15 minutes, or until dry, stirring twice; cool.

Yummo! Definitely one to try, soon!

Thanks, Amy!!!! It's so nice to see you posting more frequently!

I wonder if this would work with strawberries.

Glynis how was the book sale? Did you get any Christmas Ideas.

Well, my wallet fared better than I expected! There really were no books that seemed right for Christmas gifts. I ended up getting each kid's teacher a book they wanted, and I bought 2 books for each kid. Not too bad. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere for Christmas ideas!

Glynis,
Have you ever made a cobbler with strawberries. I am wondering how much frozen strawberries to use. As the cobbler recipe I found calls for 2 cans of pie filling.

Evening, everyone! I just want to brag on Alan for a while. If you click on the link below, you'll be taken to most of Alan's freelance work this summer. I think he's done a great job with the clips of the plays, and the commercials, too! I'm just really proud of him!

I never have, but I'd imagine you'd use 2 or 3 cups of sliced strawberries.

Let me know how it turns out! It sounds wonderful!!!

Happy October, one day late, DDA! I hope everyone is having a good day! :)

I haven't cropped pictures or uploaded any pictures to Photobucket in ages, so I decided to ditch the cleaning and work on this a bit. Here are some of my favorites from the past month:

Beautiful pics, Amy!

Here is Lucy's new slideshow...

Gotta run, Lucy just woke up for her bottle. Have a great day, DDA!!!

Lucy is such a doll!!

WHAAAAAA!!!! I am turning greener by the minute. My secret wish has been that Phil will suddenly day "Tia, you deserve a break with as much as I've been gone lately. Why don't you join everyone at Disney this month." Granted it's a very far-fetched wish, but, man, a girl can dream. I am consoling myself with some fun planning for our first family trip. :woohoo:
I wish Phil would say that too! ;) I'm so glad you get to plan your family trip!!

WTG Alan! He's really good!

I got 8" cut off my hair today. Definitely feels different. Of course, it's way too "poofy" now, so I can't wait to see what I can do with it. :)

I really enjoyed all the pictures and videos today. It's nice taking a peek into everyones lives.

I had a better night at work tonight and I'm half way through my work week :cool1: I alos managed to pack a bit today. At least I think I know what we are bringing. Of course Chris could care less what he wears, he just wants to be there.

Thanks its one of the dessert ideas I thru out to Jeff for his coupon book and he said yes. I think I might have enough ideas for a different desert each week.:rotfl2:
Of course I need to find a few easy recipes for some of them. Do you have an easy strawberry pie recipe. I tried one years ago but did not like the way it turned out.

I'm not sure that I do. The only strawberry pie I've ever done, is kind of like a strawberry cheesecake pie. I use a premade graham cracker crust. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and powdered sugar to taste. Spread it in the bottom of the crust. Place whole strawberries, point side up, in the cream cheese, and drizzle with a strawberry glaze. Let it set up in the fridge before cutting.

Oh, how wonderful they all were, Glynis! You should be very proud of Alan. He edited them all so well and the clips are stunning!

Deb - I forgot to tell you that my boss and her DH are headed to Vermont this week. They will be in the Stowe area, apparently to hike and enjoy the leaves (assuming they are nice already!).

Stowe is about an hour from here. The leaves have started to change color. I'm sure that the higher elevations are more progressed than we are. They will drive right by us on their way to Stowe :goodvibes

I will have to tell her to stop in if they are near you during the dinner hour!
