Here's a description I found of the locket pin:
This is #77 of the 100 Years of Dreams pin series from the Disney Store. The hinged silver heart locket pin with "Walt Disney" on the front opens to reveal a lenticular picture of Walt Disney as baby that changes to a picture as an adult. The locket has a very small magnet to keep it closed. Opposite to the pictures are the engraved signature / autograph of "Walt Disney" with "Dec. 5, 1901" beneath.

We saw Santa & Mrs with very little wait at night. I just looked at the date stamp on my photos and it says 8:30pm but I think it was really 7:30 as I know we didn't stay for Illuminations and I have other Epcot photos time stamped 9:30. I had either found a schedule for Santa or asked and we waited a few minutes for him to come out. There was 1 family in front of us. I think there was only 1 family behind us and I was still getting my stuffed pulled together when they left so Santa & Mrs started talking to Joe again for some time before another family came by. It was definately a highlight of the trip.

Oh, I wasn't even thinking about Santa at Epcot! Doh! I was thinking about Santa at MK between City Hall and the Fire Station. Last December I think we flew in early one morning and went to Epcot that same day, but DS was too tired to stay for IllumiNations. We went to MGM the next day, saw the Osborne Lights, then went on the boat back to Epcot for IllumiNations. We didn't have an open to close Epcot day like we will this year. BUT this year my friends will be with us and that will slow us down to some degree.

The pin sounds really neat! The picture I found didn't show the inside of the locket.

Oh, I wasn't even thinking about Santa at Epcot!
You have to find the Epcot one!

I'm home again. Got here late last night. Found out about 2pm yesterday that I'm laid off on Monday morning. I don't know how much you guys follow the news but there is going to be a government shutdown on Monday if the governor and legislature doesn't come up with a budget for next year. Chuck & I will be fine if I'm laid off for a while but I'm really worried about the state.

 I'm sure it will work out, but that is so unfair to the state and it's employees. These Legislators are employees of the public and need to act as such. :wizard: :wizard:

You should use your downtime to plan your summer vacation ;)
I finished Joe's book for his birthday trip. I am going to use this as an autograph book. Here's a link to it:

http://marketplace.kodakgallery.com/bernadette12419252105

Unfortunately in this view you can't see the page spreads next to other-just one page at a time so you don't really get the full effect. Part of the photo on page 1 will show through a hole in the cover of the book. Page 2 is blank, page 3 is a full bleed on the page-no borders. I am hoping that fireworks photo will sort of set the "celebratory" tone to the book. Then we start with the pages for the characters to sign. I had a lot of great character photos and had a hard time choosing which photos to use. I ended up doing 2 pages of 9 little photos (page 18 & 20) and left pages 19 & 21 for characters to sign. I'm hoping Joe will realize that we don't have to find them all. Then I left 2 pages blank at the end for any extras.

I think I'll order it this weekend. Can't wait to see it!

That's very creative :thumbsup2

Tammi - Oh, come on! Deb and Jo must have rubbed off on you enough that you can just throw together a lighthouse on your own!;) :rotfl:
I could 'throw' it together, probably, but the painting............fuggeddaboudit!

Bernadette - those Christmas pictures are amazing. They definitely must be the real Claus'.

The only problem with planning my summer trip is that is in limbo until we find out how many days we will be off from the layoff. If they don't get it resolved and I'm off work for a month, then I don't know that we can afford the trips to Disney next year.

Family Fun is having a costume contest. I'm thinking of entering, but really can't decide what to submit. I think the beehive is really unique as well as the Dinner costume. I've also done Dracula and a Mummy, but those are much more common. I think you've all seen the costumes that I've made, which would you submit? Oh yeah, I've got the Christmas Tree too.

Could you decropage it?:lmao:

They were both so perfect! When they asked Joe what he wanted he said an Irish flag (new to me and I thought Santa was done before the trip;) ). When he went back to talk to them the 2nd time. Mrs was so sweet with him. He'll probably believe til he's 12 because he met the real thing!

I thought Lizzy would have it figured out this year since she realized that the characters are costumes but I really think she wants to believe. I gave her an American Girl Doll catalog today. She asked me if I would buy her one and I said no but you can ask Santa. The catalog has free shipping til 10/12.

We ended up taking the boys apple picking. We only picked a few apples as some trees were completely bare and others were moldy or rotten on the tree. We got enough for the boys to take for snacks to school for the next few weeks and they were happy to go to the orchard. After apple picking we took them bowling. They haven't bowled since last Spring so it was a rocky start, but they came around. Colby actually did quite well, I could really see how much stronger he is this year compared to last.

Ugh! I hate how one thing hinges on another and you have to wait!:headache:
Like I can't book anything for next summer until I know if DH is going to be able to get time off in August. If he can't go at all then I won't take DS for 16 nights and we won't stay Deluxe. We'll go while Princess is gone and stay Value!

Can you only submit one? The dinner costume is VERY cool!

Tammi - I can't do anything even remotely crafty, so don't feel bad!

Berndette - I think we will make it a goal to see the Santas from each country! Your pics are fabulous! (As always.)

I think I can submit more than one. I have to submit a photo and complete instructions on how to make each costume. I really need to think about it as it will be time cosuming to recall how I made each costume. Some of them I made 10 years ago.

Well the movie is over and i just sent my brother a message to be careful...this movie really hits way too close to home but i watch it, cry, then i call my brother and dad

So I have been trying to clean up the mess that is my checking account. Kind of hard since it is the weekend. I just discovered that I have had 4 different electronic checks withdrawn from my Checking account amounting to around $150. They are all from the same company. None of which I authorized. This is more likely to be a Monday project, as no one is really around at the bank.

If you had signed up for Greenzap please monitor your account very closely. This seems to be a link as others have had the same experience. The withdraws were by Mazumah mipayment.biz. It seems that mipayment.biz has been contacted by Greenzap to make random withdraws. Greenzap no longer exists as a company but are apparently still using the information they had. I have to close my account. I also need to file a report with the FBI and police. Talk about fun. I need information from the bank to do that and cannot get it until Monday. I will also have to deal with all direct payments to said account, payments from account etc. This is from reading others experiences.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

So this will be more fun for the next week.

well i have good news and i have bad news

BAD NEWS: the night attendant that i have had for 3 weeks is leaving me in a week and i have just transfered to the program where i hire nad fire attendants and i am in charge of finding my own attendants. why does stuff like this happen to me.

GOOD NEWS: I GOT A JOB and i found a halloween costume that actually fits and dont have to have mom alter it:cool1: :yay: :dance3:

I'm so sorry about your attendant. I hope you find another one ASAP.

Fabulous news about your job! And great news on the costume, too!

Well just a pop-in to say Hi.
My new transfer is working out great.
I love the new property.
I'm back to working with my old Engineer.
Only thing is now she is my Supervisor.
We make a good team & we are good friends.
Only problem is the Engineer quit.
He said there were to many women working there.
No really that's what he said.
What the H*** he knew his boss would be a woman before they hired him.

Well I have great news!!
Ramiro got his 1st progress report.
2 A's & 4 B's. :woohoo:
No C D F.
I have to admit I'm a little mad at him.
He failed last year.
Why? Because he is lazy & doesn't do the work.
He scored 4 & 5's on his FCATS.
All A's in Summer School.
I'm hoping he stays on the right track.
He has really changed his attitude.
I hope he has learned his lesson.

Well Happy Everything to everybody.
Anyone in need of prayers & pixe dust.
Sending out a large dose your way.
You all take care.
Catch ya later.

Great news Jo, on all fronts. I hope Ramiro stays motivated! Happy early birthday!

I'm so sorry, Vicki. I hope they get this resolved ASAP.

Deb -- you have a lot of fabulous costumes. I think I would submit the most unusual one with the easiest instructions. Good luck!

Jake had a soccer game today -- he made two more goals, and they won 10 - 6. I took him over to his baseball game, and he played the last half. His first, and only at-bat, he ripped one to left field. I think he's finally getting more comfortable with kidpitch (and they won again!). Andrew had his soccer game this afternoon, and he played really well. They ended up winning 2 -0, and the game was stopped before the end for bad behavior by the coach on the other team. I was with Jake, so I didn't see what happened, but I'm glad the refs don't reward bad behavior.

Have a good Sunday everyone!

Bernadette the photo book is cute.
Thanks! You could make one for Olivia to give Virginia-sort of a welcome to the family thing-maybe that could be her Christmas gift to Virginia.

Lindsay I sure hope you were not in Austin today for the game. If so I hope you were able to stay somewhat dry.
