*8/24 Update: Our Intentions Were Good, But The Treats Were Better: One Month in Disney (4/21-5/21)

Sorry that your drive home wasn’t as good as the way down. How stressful!!
CT is the worst!!! Now that we drive straight thru it’s not as bad.
What a great trip you had! When the boys were younger we spent the month of July in Florida, but DH was working so didn’t really have all the time to spend together.
Can’t wait to retire!

The drive down for us is fine too because we leave so early in the morning. For our October trip though we're heading to PA so we're pretty much avoiding 95 completely except for the drive from SC to FL. Coming home we plan to go through PA again to avoid the bad stretch of 95. Time together with our sons is always the best (and so is retirement!).

Ugh, what a terrible ride home! That's why I hate it so much! When we drive down from CT you get all the worst parts of the ride out of the way quickly, NY, DC, etc. But on the way home those are all within the last 8 hours and I just want to be home by that point!

95 is absolutely terrible in CT! We've done it where we get on 84 somehow which is a little out of the way but moves along better!

You're right that the way home is way worse. That's our future plan too to stick to 84 and the Mass pike. We were just saying today we'd rather drive an extra hour to avoid the craziness!
