I have been trying to come up with a Disney name that will suit her :thumbsup2

She's cute, Janet! When I first saw her picture, I thought she looked like Figaro, the cat from Pinocchio. Maybe you could feminize the name?

Hi everyone...

Thank you all for thinking of me! I just haven't had the mental strength to post much.

I am still trying to get my head on straight since this negative IVF cycle..even though I knew the odds with IVF (25% success rate in general) I couldn't help but feel completely overwhelmed that it didn't work.

Not 100% sure what we will do next...I guess time will tell. Maybe try again, maybe do nothing....depending on the day you ask me...the answer changes!

I will try to check in again soon.....

I appreciate all of the friendships here on this thread....you are definitely a group of kind, caring & compassionate individuals!!

Kristine

It's so good to hear from you! We were all getting a bit worried! We love you Kristine! Please know that we are here for you when you need us. Take care of yourself, and let Bill take care of everything else, until you feel strong enough to handle things!

Let me know if you need to talk!

BTW, is that a new ticker in your siggie?!?! We need details! :woohoo:

Yep!!!! I finally convinced Eric that we needed to go. It has gotten to the point that it wasn't a want any longer.;)

Right now we are booked at Pop for the 18-26th of January. Emma will only miss 3 days of school and they are days that she will get out 2 hrs early. So she really won't miss much at all. I am so excited. The girls don't know and I think we are either going to make it their gift from Santa or just not tell them til we arrive at the hotel.

Kim - since everyone is picking your brain on scrapbooking, I will, too! :goodvibes I wanted to buy scrapbook-quality books for my 3 nieces and nephew to decorate and have them use as autograph books/picture albums for our big trip this Dec. My thought would be to have the custom autograph pages on cardstock for ease in carrying around the parks for each child, but then that they would each have their own album after the trip that their moms can place the card and pic together. Any thoughts on what would be best to use for this? I'd love to add some embellishment/decorations to the exterior of the album to make it personal to each child, but as I don't SB at this juncture, I'm lost as to where to start! (And time is ticking away!)

:goodvibes There are lots of great scrapbooks out there. Are you going to cut the cardstock and have them carry blank pages around for signature and then add those to the sb or are you planning on giving them the album and let them decorate the pages before they go to the park and carry that around for signatures? I'm a little unclear on exactly what you want to do. If you tell me, I can help steer you in the right direction. We just got back from a trip to WDW in June so I have lots of ideas. :goodvibes

Lindsay - I'm not Kim but I will share with you what I did. I apologize to those who've already seen this.

I bought plain mini albums at either Michaels or AC Moore (can't remember). They held 6x6 pages. Then I bought lots of cardstock 12x12, which was easy to quarter into 6x6. On the front of the page my kids got autographs. When it's in the album, the back page is blank, so that is where I put their picture with the corresponding character. Then I decorated them with embellishments. I found the Mickey and Minnie appliques at a craft store too, and added them to the front of the albums. Here are a few pictures:

Tammi, those are awesome!!!! You don't need me to do your pages for you. You did awesome books for the kids.

Lindsay, Tammi's exactly right. I got a blank album at AC Moores (if you watch the papers, you can get a coupon or get them when they go on sale.) Get 12x12 cardstock and cut it in fourths (I would invest in a 12x12 paper trimmer or borrow one if you can.) I prefer Bazzill paper but use whatever you're comfortable with. I will warn you that some Bazzill paper isn't smooth so you'll want to be careful what side you have the characters sign on. 6x6 albums are perfect for this type of thing.

I thought the same thing! The only other names I can come up with are Duchess and Marie from the Aristocats. I know they are all white but it's all I got.

Janet, I love your new kitty.

Hi Kelli!

Kristine, it's good to hear from you.

Here are some snapshots from Mo's first day of preschool...

Does she look excited?!?

She did really well, although she did not use the potty. She walked in and acted like she has been doing this forever! Not even a kiss goodbye for Mommy.:sad1:

Looks like I'm sharing the brain with Lindsay today! Hooray!!!

Janet - I think you could use Figaro for a girl cat. Isnt' Figaro the name of Minnie's cat? I know that her cat wears a bow and acts "girly". Just putting in a plug for Figaro.

I like Figaro but my vote is still for CC!!! :rotfl:

None of these are Disney names, but these are what the boys like so far:

Chloe
Kira
Oreo
Buttons
Cookie

She is going to think her name is Baby if something isn't decided on soon

You just reminded me of something.

Everytime we go to the girl's dr. we read the Mickey book that is there and in it is his cat is Molly!! Molly gets a big kick out of that!

Edited to add....
Apparently Figaro is Minnie's cat ( I just found this on Wikipedia)

Since then she has been co-starring with Mickey Mouse, Pluto, and Figaro, Minnie's own cat who debuted in Pinocchio.

And her grandmother's name was Matilda (I just thought that was too funny)

Minerva "Minnie" Mouse is an animated cartoon of the Mickey Mouse universe featured in animated cartoons, comic strips and comic book by The Walt Disney Company. The comic strip story "The Gleam" (published January 19-May 2, 1942) by Merrill De Maris and Floyd Gottfredson first gave her full name as Minerva Mouse. Minerva has since been a recurring alias for her.

The comic strip story "Mr. Slicker and the Egg Robbers" (published September 22–December 26, 1930) introduced her father Marcus Mouse and her unnamed mother, both farmers. The same story featured photographs of her grandparents Marshall Mouse and Matilda Mouse. Her best known relatives however remains her uncle Mortimer Mouse and her twin nieces, Millie and Melody, though most often a single niece, Melody, appears. In many appearances, Minnie is presented as a close friend of Daisy Duck, and occasionally to Clarabelle Cow.

How exciting! I like both your ideas of how to tell the girls :thumbsup2
