I'll help you too. Maybe we should have a photo sorting party instead. ;)
Yes, baby steps! :rotfl:

Thanks for all of the advice.

BTW, what time is the bus getting there in the PM? My kids might be riding the bus tomorrow and their DD picking them up. Alyssa's dance starts back up tomorrow after school. She is taking ballet again and now jazz too. I scheduled it for when HE can take her. I'm getting worn out!

Let me know when you're available.

The bus is scheduled to arrive at 3:58 but it's been there at 3:40-3:45 every day so far. One of the moms wasn't at the school bus yesterday afternoon so I took her DD home. I just happened to be riding by and knew that the bus was on the way and saw that the mom wasn't there. Then, the bus driver was about to pull off with her DD still on the bus. :scared1: Tell your x to be there at 3:40 to be safe.

Thanks. She must not have a middle school run, so she's at the school right at 3:30.

I have a request for you all.

My niece, Alyssa, is starting a new school today. Can you all send good thoughts her way. Anyway, this will be her 4th school since she started kindergarten in 2005. I feel for her as she has had very little stability in her life since her and my sister moved out of here in Nov 2005. My sister just cannot get her act together and just this past weekend moved back home with my parents. Unfortunately, the one that suffers the most is Alyssa.

Sending PD to her!

Deb -- I hope the bus situation settles down. It sounds like you have a good handle on it.

Lindsay -- I hope the migraine is gone and you got some rest.

Elizabeth -- Merrie had tons of trouble with Philip over these same issues. Does the school make concessions for kids with ADD? Merrie finally had Philip take in a spiral notebook, which each teacher would write his homework in. Of course, half the time he forgot to bring it home.

Kim -- your sb pages are awesome and very inspiring!

Have a great day everyone! :)

That is so tough on kids :wizard:

Well, I am about 34 years behind. Does organization count if we have the pictures in bins by decade?

Does having them all in one room count? :confused3 I love to look through all of the pictures and could never narrow down photos to scrap. My goal is to put them into photo archive boxes sorted chronologically by child. I think that goal is large enough for me. I do however plan to scap the autograph photos into our autograph book. That will be a large project in itself.

Did you say they have PINS? I didn't know that. If I see any and can get a look at the backstamp I will let you know!:)

Good luck with the bus! I don't see what is so hard to understand about "you sit in a seat that is open". I think they need to send a letter home outlining rules for riding the bus. We have a sheet of rules for carpool. Everybody ignores them, but the school DOES send it home.:rolleyes1

YAY Becky! Have a magical time!

Good thoughts for Alyssa! I hope she is able to stay at this school for the rest of the year!:wizard:

DS is brushing his teeth, then he will start reading. He has about 25 minutes to finish, so he better chop chop! DH needs to learn to ask questions and LISTEN to the answers, because my bosses are traveling quite a bit in the next month. I will be staying late with Princess, so DS and DH need to get along.

The airfare situation is bleak! Those flights that are so expensive are full (like 7 seats left on the whole plane) so I don't think they will get any cheaper. Of course on SW you can't see the seats so I'll keep watching for DINGs. If DH would trade a day off that week I could go by myself and it wouldn't be such a balancing act for DS, but DH acted like I asked him to cut off his arm instead of trade a day off. They are always asking him to pick up extra shifts, go help other drivers after he finishes his accounts, etc. I hardly think trading a day is an unreasonable request. But whatever.

Have a great day, DDA!:)

The Post office has pins that are the same as the disney stamps that they have sold. I think I'll have to buy one just to see if the Disney stamp is on the back.

Nick wasn't at all stressed about the bus. Apparently he feels that he has everything under control. I on the other hand am a bit stressed:headache: I know that it important to let him handle it as he is becoming a young adult and this is part of growing up. Thanks for all the well wishes.

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Oh, I needed to see this today! That is a great thought! Of course, now I'm panicking and wondering whether I've done everything I was supposed to. Should I have received my MNSSHP tickets already? I'm not sure I ordered them? That is not a good thing!

They usually arrive around a week after ordering.

Uh oh. As I thought - I forgot to order the tickets! I sure hope there are some still available for Oct. 18. Chuck is going to kill me if he finds out!

:grouphug: Good Morning DDA!!!

You ladies have inspired me to ... sort my photo's, I don't know if i'll ever get around to scrapbooking them but at least I'll have them sorted.

Robyn, best wishes to Alyssa, I hope she's finally in a place where she can get settled and enjoy school. thoughts and prayers to her.

Becky, I know you mosst likely won't be reading this but HAVE A GREAT TRIP!!! Enjoy and Relax.

Elin, yay for a 3pm stat. I'm glad you're getting to sit on the patio and enjoy the fresh morning.

to eveyone in need :grouphug: and pixiedust:

Today we're off to go "pantie" shopping .. my baby girl's no longer a baby and has FINALLY caught onto the potty training. so today we're going so she can pick out her new big girl panties YAY! ( I know little hings amuse me lol ). Have a great Thursday everyone !!

Hi everyone...

Thank you all for thinking of me! I just haven't had the mental strength to post much.

I am still trying to get my head on straight since this negative IVF cycle..even though I knew the odds with IVF (25% success rate in general) I couldn't help but feel completely overwhelmed that it didn't work.

Not 100% sure what we will do next...I guess time will tell. Maybe try again, maybe do nothing....depending on the day you ask me...the answer changes!

I will try to check in again soon.....

I appreciate all of the friendships here on this thread....you are definitely a group of kind, caring & compassionate individuals!!

Good morning, DDA!

Robyn - :wizard: :wizard: for Alyssa. That just breaks my heart - I hope she finds stability and great new friends this year.

BTW, is that a new ticker in your siggie?!?! We need details! :woohoo:

Elin - I will be happy to commiserate with Kathrin! And I'm sure a little champagne and wine will help us along! ;)

Deb - I'm pretty certain those USPS pins are indeed official Disney traders - I know a lady I buy from on eBay (her pins aren't cheap, but she has a lot of the specialty/LE ones) has those from time to time. Those are some of the more inexpensive ones she sells.

Elizabeth - keep working on that October scenario! Will anything persuade DH to switch days? That seems like it would be the easiest scenario for you!

Kim - since everyone is picking your brain on scrapbooking, I will, too! :goodvibes I wanted to buy scrapbook-quality books for my 3 nieces and nephew to decorate and have them use as autograph books/picture albums for our big trip this Dec. My thought would be to have the custom autograph pages on cardstock for ease in carrying around the parks for each child, but then that they would each have their own album after the trip that their moms can place the card and pic together. Any thoughts on what would be best to use for this? I'd love to add some embellishment/decorations to the exterior of the album to make it personal to each child, but as I don't SB at this juncture, I'm lost as to where to start! (And time is ticking away!)

Heather - have fun panty shoppping! :goodvibes

Kristine - it's good to see you. More     coming your way - I think of you and Bill often.

Oh, and Vicki - I just bought my MNSSHP ticket on Tuesday. The CM gave no indication that party is getting full, so no worries! :goodvibes

Elizabeth I meant to post this before, but forgot. Tell DH that my SIL had to switch her day off to take care of our 3 kids so that Chris and I could make the October trip. I'm sure switching one day to take care of his own son wouldn't be the end of the world ;)
