Elizabeth -- Merrie had tons of trouble with Philip over these same issues. Does the school make concessions for kids with ADD? Merrie finally had Philip take in a spiral notebook, which each teacher would write his homework in. Of course, half the time he forgot to bring it home.

We haven't had our 504 meeting yet. Which is good, because if we had already had one then 2 of the teachers would have missed it! I also need to get a good idea of what all is being assigned/expected before I ask for modifications. I am hoping we won't need a special notebook, but I will absolutely keep that in mind. Or even have each teacher write the assignments in his planner for him so he doesn't miss anything. That might be best. DS also said his Focalin isn't working very well. I think he was already right on the border of needing the next dose, and he has put on a few pounds which might be why it's not working. I need to call the Dr.

The Post office has pins that are the same as the disney stamps that they have sold. I think I'll have to buy one just to see if the Disney stamp is on the back.

My post office has NOTHING. In fact, they didn't even know what I was talking about. I stood in line for 20 minutes for that. I also stopped in an independent "mail center" and the man there had never heard of them, either. If you can get your hands on some I would snatch them up soon!

Elizabeth - keep working on that October scenario! Will anything persuade DH to switch days? That seems like it would be the easiest scenario for you!

Elizabeth I meant to post this before, but forgot. Tell DH that my SIL had to switch her day off to take care of our 3 kids so that Chris and I could make the October trip. I'm sure switching one day to take care of his own son wouldn't be the end of the world

DS is vehemently opposed to trading a day. I really do not understand why he is SOOOO opposed to it, but he is. I never would have even known he could do that, but he did it for our December trip. What would it hurt to ask and see if someone wants to trade? But he said NO, his schedule is what it is and it is going to stay that way. Passive/aggressive much?

I wish you strength to get through this and wisdom to make the right decisions for you and your family.

I told DH he is to LISTEN to what DS says to me instead of rushing him off the phone. I told DH it isn't his fault the homework didn't get done, but DS is going to keep harping that DH TOLD him to go play.

Hopefully DS will have a good day today. He has school pics on Monday. He needs another haircut. That will make him mad, but that's life.

It is!! She got quite a few smiles from people at Target when she was carrying it through the store.

Yep!!!! I finally convinced Eric that we needed to go. It has gotten to the point that it wasn't a want any longer.

Right now we are booked at Pop for the 18-26th of January. Emma will only miss 3 days of school and they are days that she will get out 2 hrs early. So she really won't miss much at all. I am so excited. The girls don't know and I think we are either going to make it their gift from Santa or just not tell them til we arrive at the hotel.

Excellent news! And I think both of your plans for surprising the girls sound wonderful!

There are lots of great scrapbooks out there. Are you going to cut the cardstock and have them carry blank pages around for signature and then add those to the sb or are you planning on giving them the album and let them decorate the pages before they go to the park and carry that around for signatures? I'm a little unclear on exactly what you want to do. If you tell me, I can help steer you in the right direction. We just got back from a trip to WDW in June so I have lots of ideas.

My plan (if I can get them done! ) is to give each child their album at Thanksgiving, which will be a week or so before their trip. I plan for the album to be decorated on the outside, personalizing it to each child, with the cardstock (hopefully personalized with characters and their names) loose so they can then just take those in a ziploc bag with them to the parks. They can leave the albums at home, and then it's their moms' job to assemble them when they get their pictures developed. I also plan on including a small clipboard and set of colored Sharpies.

I think what you and Tammi have suggested is exactly what I'm looking to do. Now, I just need to get up the energy to go tackle Michael's (we don't have AC Moore's here). We also have a very nice scrapbooking store near my house, but I've always been afraid to go in there, for fear of being sucked in!

It's hard to believe, but yes. It will be such a quick weekend though - we'll get there in time for the MNSSHP on Friday, and then my mom and I will hang out Saturday (I'm thinking some quality SAB time) while the guys go to the UT/UCF football game. We'll head home Sunday afternoon. The weirdest thing for me is that I only have 2 ADR's! That's almost unheard of for me!

Scrap book pages have been great! I do o.k. digitally, but when it comes to putting it down in a "hard" copy, I just get stuck!

After an exhaustive search of the USPS website (do you know how much CRAP the post office website sells?!) I found the Disney pins. They are $4 each, which is a little steep for traders IMO. It doesn't give dimensions - just says "lapel pins". They have Snow White/Dopey, Alice/Mad Hatter, and Ariel. The Mickey pin is sold as a set with a keychain for $8. I am tempted to order one of each just to have them, but it depends on how much shipping costs. (Of course it won't tell me how much shipping costs unless I put in my credit card first. I think not.)

I don't think these pins are of the newest stamps, though. I think they are from the set before the most recent one.

I am waiting for Daniel to come home from his 1st day. The girls are home but his bus isn't here yet. Should be any minute now. His new school called today to let us know that he was having a great day & making new friends. Which was quite a relief since I have been on pins & needles since he left this am.

Robyn - You have to get in the habit of referring to your trip like there isn't a trip booked. Like "Next time we go to Disney..." instead of "When we go to WDW in January..." We have surprised DS twice. Hopefully December will be a surprise, too, because he is already having so much trouble focusing!

we have the mix stick's. Cassidy has gone through 3 of them...1 of her own doing but the others have just completely konked out on her. She bought herself a Sony MP3/video player for about the same price at the max and I have to say that's probably a better option for you/her for the trip.
