How wonderful Tia! :cool1:

Wow, I was thinking ahead and didn't even realize it! It dawned on me today that our anniversary was really close to the dates I was thinking of if we can to in May. I was just getting ready to update my ticker and other info when I realized, it already is included! :bounce: If we get to go, we'll be celebrating my birthday and our anniversary in WDW!!

A few photos from the EPCOT F&W fest!;)

This is so good to know, Tom. I am thinking about trying to do this with Mitchel on our trip and I wanted to make certain it was a worthwhile event. Thanks!

Definitely worth it. :thumbsup2 This is an hour where the characters are there to have fun and interact with the children. They won't pose for pictures, or sign autographs during this event.

Bernadette (and Tia)... Kathrin is setting up TWO interviews in Boston now. In fact, she has decided she needs to go sooner rather than later so that they don't think she is disinterested. She has told them she is on a family reunion from the 18-21, but is hoping to head up there on the 14-16 and be done with it all before we go away.

With that in mind she has been looking at package deals through orbitz. Would it make sense for her to stay out near Logan and take a cab into the city for the interviews or take the cab into the city and then stay close to where her appointments are? Any suggestions? She is looking at a Holiday Inn Express, but I don't know which one.

Oh!! Good to know! and I think he might like that... thanks again.

Hi, Glynis. Actually he's not doing well at all and has missed school all week. He was in the hospital on Wednesday. He's having horrible stomach pains, swollen and distended abdomen, and his belly is completely filled with air. They have no idea why, so we're treating it symptomatically and one thing at a time. What we have been trying since the hospital Wed didn't work, and he ended back there again today. So now we try something else until Monday. I have no idea when he'll be back at school. Sorry to be such a downer, but it's been a long week. We were so upset to cancel our WDW trip for last week because of his health and money, but now we totally see it was for the best.

Thanks for any prayers!

Prayers to you & the whole Fig family. I saw your post about having to cancel your trip. I hope that you get things figured out soon for Rees and he gets some comfort.

A measely attempt at a recap...I've been reading when I get a moment but that's all it's been a moment here and there.

Denise- :wizard: headed your way for Rees, you and the rest of the Figs.

Tom- Bored to death;) Just kidding. Great photos, can't wait to see more!! Thanks for the postcard. Emma and Molly love their Disney mail.

Deb- Glad your back is feeling a little better. Congrats to Nick on his grades.

Glynis- Ikea sounds like a perfect way to spend a Friday night! Enjoy your alone time with Alan.

Tia- I am so excited for you and Terra and Phil! Loved your DL pics.

Theresa- Hope your feeling a little better today. :grouphug: Thanks for the link to the funeral article. What a tragedy. I agree with Bernadette those pictures are absolutely breathtaking.

Elizabeth- Hope your crown stays put. for DS's grades.

Karen- Love Shocker's costume! Congrats on the job.

Bernadette- That toy is so cool! I need to get moving on my Christmas shopping. Emma is getting a Nintendo DS but I have no clue what to get Mo and Lucy.

Tammi- Congrats to Nicholas on making the playoffs. We still have 5 more weeks. We don't even keep score.

Becky- Hope you get the mess with your checking account fixed ASAP :wizard:

Anne Marie- Glad to hear you're enjoying your new job!!!

Chanon- Now your countdown is less than a year! :thumbsup2 (I'll always remember your wedding date, it's the day after our anniversary)

Elin- Sounds like Kathrin is moving in the right direction for her. What a great mom you are :goodvibes

Heather- Hope you and M&M survived your time without RJ

Amy- Alyssa and Matthew are sooo cute! Wish we were closer :goodvibes

Jen- Hope today wasn't too crazy for you!

Heidi- My favorite apples are the ones I buy at BJ's- already sliced and ready to eat. The girls love apples so we go through almost 3 whole bags a week.

For those I missed it surely wasn't intentional. My brain is tired.'s and :wizard:

She could very easily get between the two appointments by walking or taking the train even (I used to work right by one address and catch the train by the other). I would suggest looking for a hotel in the vacinity of the locations. If she ends up to close to the airport, the cab fares would be inching up quickly. Plus, if the tunnels get involved in the cab fares the fees are kind of high. Price-wise, she can probably find about the same deals on hotels, so might as well got for the cheaper cab fares.

There are some really good choices in the area of the theater district. I have stayed at the Boston Park Plaza before and it had some nice historic rooms. There is also a new(ish) modern boutique like hotel right by the Canal Street address. I can't remember the name and have no idea of the cost, but I believe that it is on Portland. It would also put her right in the heart of the city and where she'd be working so she could really get a feel for things.

Best of luck to her!!!!

AElin- Sounds like Kathrin is moving in the right direction for her. What a great mom you are :goodvibes

That was just the sweetest thing anyone could have said, Robyn. Thanks so much... :goodvibes  I am SO proud of her work ethic and her desire to spread her wings.

And, to quote Tom... I feel like I am going to bore you all at times, but our kids and lives are all so important to us all, I know you all would really understand! Thanks, friends.

Well, I've got to get back to my game. I'm hoping that they have recovered the score to be on the winning side, but unfortunately, I'm not too sure of that since there haven't been many loud cheers going up from the tv. I got sidetracked on the anniversary thing and was posting questions on restaurant suggestions.

Any thoughts here? Phil wouldn't like anything too fancy and prefers poultry dishes to steak, etc. I'm so used to planning meals for Terra and me, that I'm not sure what to do for our anniversary. I forget about some of the other meals out there when focusing more on her. There would also be the option of just ordering a cake for whereever we eat without worrying about a "special" place. (Chocolate cake goes a LONG LONG way to making Phil a happy man.)

WOW! What a quick response. Thanks, Tia. The "mother" part of me worries about her finding a hotel in a decent area. My brother in Burlington may actually ask her to stay with him, but I think she really wants to see what it is like staying downtown Boston. We stayed in the Burlington Marriott when we were there last summer, so I know she would like to stay closer to her interview areas. Thanks so much for the input... it means the world to me!

Well, it's true.:goodvibes

We are having a rough time with Emma as of late and I just hope that Eric and I have it in us to get her and us through it. It's just heartwarming to see that pride in your "voice" when you talk about them and it gives me the hope and strength to keep pushing forward.

Well I am off here to finish cleaning up and get myself to bed.

My cousin stopped in for a short visit, he is in from Dallas for the weekend. He got to meet Lucy. He is going to be her God father. She was mesmerized by him, it was so cute!

Tomorrow is my aunt's dessert party so it bodes for a long evening. I am trying to convince myself that when I see all those desserts I won't be the least tempted. I restarted Weight Watchers last week and I don't want to blow the progress I've made so far (down 5lbs). I hoping that I will be overwhelmed by all the offerings that I won't be able to decide what to eat and will then eat nothing :rolleyes1

Have a great evening and weekend. I'll try to check in on Sunday.
