Janet, I like the pink and ivory one the best.

Theresa, great idea for housewarming gifts.

Deb, I want Scott's job. And yes a new Mickey watch is in order and a perfect father's day gift.

Terry, need John to school Hal in what to give/not give for an anniversary gift?

Heidi,

Actually he usually does really good in the gift giving department. He has been so busy with the end of the school year and inventory and things that I know he will make up for it next week when we go away.

He is just a jokester sometimes. But I still love him.

This may sound horrible, but I would really love to buy it just in case for future use. It only cost $120, which I thought was a pretty good price. I also tried a shaw on with it & it was perfect! Wonder if I could talk Gary into a cruise lol

Elizabeth I just plain don't like to paint! I leave that for Gary :thumbsup2

Janet - I think all of the dresses look great! The pink one is very pretty on you! I also like the cranberry. You need to think of somewhere for Gary to take you so you can wear it again!;)

Chanon - Good luck with the painting! I've never painted anything, but I imagine it is kind of a pain.

The weather is kind of icky. It is hot and REALLY muggy - like being in a sauna. And the kids don't really want to go to the Arboretum today. Not sure what's up with the little ones but they are like zombies this morning. Maybe we'll just go to the mall for a little while. The pest control guy is coming at 2 PM so we need to be back by then.

Sounds like a good time at your house tomorrow night

I think I may be crazy. I'm letting Kaelyn have a sleepover with 3 friends tomorrow night. I really need to be getting the house picked up. LOL

Butch is doing great, thanks for asking! He finally came out of the coma & is talking up a storm. The Dr wanted to keep him in ICU for a couple of days, just to make sure all is well. Hopefully he will be home before long.

Good luck with getting the room finished, sounds like you will be busy!

A friend of mine at work makes killer cinnamon rolls, but I don't have the recipe. That helped you alot didn't it :rotfl:
Good news about Butch!! :cool1:
Sounds like a good time at your house tomorrow night

Thanks for the support!! :rotfl:

Have a great day all! I need to get ready for work & then practice & games tonight. Chat with you all later :)

Have fun at Jake's last game, although I'm sure you'll be hot! (But hopefully, not a human smorgasbord for the mosquitos!)

Don't worry - the rain will return tomorrow! There are counties within the vicinity right now that are also under a tornado watch until midnight.

Too funny you used the word smorgasbord...Jake and Andrew call the baseball park a buffet for mosquitoes! They weren't as bad last night, though there were plenty buzzing around. I did wear jeans and was very hot, but it worked well.

Jake did great at his game, and we found out he was picked for the all-star team. I'm so proud of him! It's still ironic, as he's excited, but his feelings wouldn't have been hurt if he hadn't been picked, whereas Andrew's heart is broken since he didn't get picked.

I am so sorry to hear about your friend. She and her family will be in my prayers.

I totally hear you on the mosquitoes. I have been eaten up a few times already. I thought I had a new super-itchy one this morning. Unfortunately, Mom think it might actually be poison ivy. Luckily it is only one tiny spot so far and hopefully it won't spread. Too bad I have NO idea where it came from. :confused3 Not sure how I'm supposed to avoid getting it again since I've only been in our backyard and my sister's this week.

I'm so sorry that it could be poison ivy! Mosquitoes are bad enough, but PI is much worse!

Tonight is Daniel's birthday party at a local baseball/batting cage place. I invited his classmates, made cupcakes, & goody bags so we are all set. I am Daniels secret reader today as well so that should be fun.

Going into the 90's today..:scared:

Have a great day.

I hope Daniel has fun and all goes well!

Janet -- you look awesome in the pictures!

We have more rain possible for today, and as Elizabeth said, it's very hot and muggy! Tonight is the program to end VBS, and Andrew has a tournament tomorrow only about 25 miles from home, but the games are at 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

Have a great day, DDA!

Hi!

Me too, Janet you look great in all of them!

You can always try this trick. Give them both an old sock with alittle furniture polish or fantastic on the sock. Put it on their hands & let them dust the house. Tell them that who ever gets the most dust on their sock wins a treat. My kids love this & I end up giving them all a treat since they all helped. (but don't tell them they both get rewarded until its over so they try hardest to dirty their sock.

You all had great ideas, but I love this one. I'll try that next week. My DB came home from work with a headache so he came and got Logan. Now it's just Colby and me and it is quiet. :cool1: Laundry is going. Mom's shirt is done :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Here's some useful tie dye info. The soda ash that you soak the shirts in before dying absolutely helps keep the colors vibrant. Since Chris threw out my soda ash solution before I did my Mothers I can attest to it. I let he shirt set twice as long before rinsing and hers came out much more pastel colored than the other 5. Truthfully I like it better, but my boys would not:rolleyes1 Her shirt also had better dye coverage for some reason, maybe I just applied more because of how the first 5 turned out. Anyhow, her shirt won't match exactly, but they're all Mickey Tie Dyed so it doesn't really matter does it?:confused3 I also got the design ironed on the royal blue shirts. I think that does it for shirts for us. We'll wait and see what Mom decided to do or not do. It's her choice.

Lunch is done. As soon as this load of laundry goes into the dryer I think Colby and I will take a nap :woohoo: I love naps:woohoo:

We have discussed the many differences between WDW and DLR on here before. I need to tell you the most drastic difference I have encountered so far. I just ordered our Bonus Hoppers online. They sent me an Adobe file which I saved to my computer. I then printed out my tickets right here at home! That is a very cool way to get everything done in advance. I wish WDW would go to something like this too.

Wow - that's great! I haven't heard of this - wonder if it's new...

Where are you going to be?

We fly into Springfield, and then we will drive to Willow Springs. I think that's pretty far from St. Louis, isn't it? (At least I hope so, as I looked into flying into St. Louis, and was told it would be too far of a drive to be worth it!)

I love the cranberry one too! I think you look beautiful in it, bra straps and all. :rotfl:

I agree - the cranberry is very flattering! :thumbsup2

Good morning everyone. I am off today and am glad because it's going to be 105 with the heat index. YUCK! So I plan on staying in the a/c, except for getting the oil in the van changed and going grocery shopping.

Last night Alyssa had another graduation. This one was at her daycare. It was so cute. I'll try to post a few pictures later.

:scared1: It's warm and muggy here, but not quite that hot!

It was part of a contest awhile back to win a 3 year DVC contract. I just checked a button asking for a DVD so Jimmy could see what I am talking about. Dear me, I don't think we can afford it just yet....maybe for my 40th birthday!! Jim got a house for his, I get DVC....seems fair right???;)

That sounds like a perfect plan to me. ;)

Scot is our guide, too, although we've never actually met him, as he was on one of those "working cruises" when we did our tour. We actually had Jenna Mazza do our tour, paperwork, etc., at Scot's request, and we really, really liked her. I've often thought about calling and requesting a change permanently to her, since we were so comfortable with her, and she's been there for a long time.

Have fun at your housewarming party!!

Have a great day.

That sounds like a great party, Anne Marie! Keep well-hydrated with the heat! :goodvibes

We will do the DVC tour in August. We can't afford to buy in right now, but I want to do the tour so DH will start to think about it.

I just checked airfare for Dec. and it has come down $50, but that means it is $388 instead of $438 per person. NOT a good deal!:sad2:

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that it will come down to an acceptable level. I got a DING fare this morning on SW for $67-$70 one-way in August. I am doing everything I can to fight the temptation! :rotfl2:

Butch is doing great, thanks for asking! He finally came out of the coma & is talking up a storm. The Dr wanted to keep him in ICU for a couple of days, just to make sure all is well. Hopefully he will be home before long.

I am so encouraged to hear this wonderful news on Butch! Prayers are answered every day. :wizard: :goodvibes

Yay for no more mosquito bites! I still have an outdoor event tomorrow, and am already scared about how many bites I'll come home with, even if I'm using Off. They just love me (and I know it's not because I'm sweet ;) ).

Congrats to Jake! :grouphug: to Andrew.

Where is their tournament tomorrow? Jonathan is actually going to be taking pics of a team playing a tournament in Sanger tomorrow. I imagine that's probably too far to be the same tourney.

Sounds like another productive day, Deb. Enjoy your nap! I love them, too!

Anne Marie... this is such a CUTE idea! Do you think it would work with a 21 year old and her father? :confused3

I hope the party is a huge success! It is already 95 here and the heat index is 102.

Just don't dust! Let them have one of Anne Marie's contests. :rotfl:

yay for Jake, but poor Andrew... Your sports schedule is just brutal, Marci!

Thanks also to all of you for the reassuring words re: CRT - I was up at the crack of dawn this a.m., and got our ressie at the exact time I wanted with no problem. :woohoo: I've also decided that maybe traveling with a large group is almost worth it for the ability to book through Group Dining - no menus and buttons to punch, you're just straight through to an agent! I could get used to that. :goodvibes

I keep asking Chris what he would like for father's day and he keeps saying that he doesn't need anything. So while visiting him at work today I asked him if he's started wearing his Mickey watch that plays the Mickey Mouse March. It has become tradition for him to play the March several times a day prior to a trip which annoys the heck out of his coworkers :lmao: Turns out that watch is broken. So now I will need to find a new one. It sounds like the perfect father's day gift to me :goodvibes
Walmart has some musical Disney watches. I bought myself a non musical Tigger watch last week.

yay for Jake, but poor Andrew... Your sports schedule is just brutal, Marci!

Congrats to Jake! I hope Andrew works through his disappointment quickly!:wizard:

I am glad we didn't go to the Arboretum today. The little guys have NO energy! We did pop over to the mall for about an hour. Went to the Disney Store, had a pretzel (Brother's favorite), rode the carousel. I made the kids eat lunch at home today. We had pizza delivered yesterday and I really am trying to be conscientious about how much money we are spending. Not that Dadboss has ever been upset with me for how much I spend, but we have been going out a lot the past few weeks.

ENABLER ALERT:
Sources tell me the Disney Store semi-annual sale starts next Wednesday. BIG mark downs. Shop early for best selection.:rolleyes1

I bought a cute Tinkerbell T-shirt for $5 today. I am not a big Tink fan (though I can think of some!;) ), but the shirt is nice. I bought DS a pair of Pirate swim trunks because the poor boy only has 4 swimsuits. I also bought some Ratatouille (what are the chances that I spelled that right?) pins. There are 3 pins in the set for $9.50. They are cute, too, so I don't know if I will trade mine or keep them.

Just don't dust! Let them have one of Anne Marie's contests. :rotfl:

That thought already crossed my mind! :lmao:

Good deals! I wish our store hadn't closed. :(

well it's time for me to head off to work :sad2: I did manage to take a nap and I got all the laundry put away (except Chris's), picked up the entry and a bit of kid junk. The house looks slightly better :scared: I'll get more done in the morning. Since there are a lot of graduations around here this weekend including high schools and Dartmouth College, I'm betting that it will be a late night tonight. Oh well, hopefully more Disney money or deck money :confused3 as if I've budgeted correctly I've got our Trip fully saved for now :thumbsup2 Considering how things always seem to cost more than anticipated I'll just keep saving and if we have money when all is said and done I'll get my new deck :cool2: If we spend it all down there at least we will have had a great vacation, right? :goodvibes

Anne Marie... this is such a CUTE idea! Do you think it would work with a 21 year old and her father? :confused3

If the prize is good enough they just may participate. I can only imagine what they would come up with to get the dirt to stick to the sock, but their desire to participate would all depend on the prize.:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
