I am reading a biography on Walt Disney.

Walt Disney
The Triumph Of The American Imagination,
by Neal Gabler.

To say it is a huge book is an understatement, it may take a while to read. But it is very good and he leaves nothing out.

I have read that book, it was very good. He definitely covered everything including the good, the bad and the ugly.

Things are crazy busy but I've been missing all of you so decided to take some time tonight to hang out with you all. Mom, my brother & nephew left last night. I've been trying to catch up at work. I really should be working but just couldn't look at it any longer.

Chuck & I were supposed to go to Ludington (downstate) this week-end for my cousin's kids graduation. However, the person that I've been training with so that we would be interchangeable if needed lost his mother today. He'll be off next week. They've requested I come to Lansing for the week. That really sucks because Tuesday is my 25th wedding anniversary. I talked to Chuck though and he knows that I'll be stressed and won't really enjoy our time together. That also means that it doesn't make sense for us to go downstate. So I'll be going downstate by myself for the graduation and then head to Lansing straight from there.

Hi Vicki,
What a way to spend an Anniversary. :grouphug:

DH and I are celebrating ours on Thursday--38 years.

Please make time for yourself. Life is way to short to spend so much time stressing over work. Work is certainly not what you will think of on your death bed. I'm glad that you are here with us tonight. I think we may need to drag you back full time ;)

It's nice to know I've been missed. It is only short term that this will be stressing me. The state budget is quite bad and I want to make sure our area is working as efficiently as possible. Once the processes are in place, I should be able to go back to a regular life. The state is looking at ways to balance the budget and I don't want them thinking they can get any more efficiencies in our area!

That is something that we've never seen, It is definitely on my to do list for this trip :thumbsup2 I must also try schoolbread. Chris thinks he should try to drink his way around the world, but since he really never drinks I think he'll need to do this gradually :faint: :drinking1 :faint:

DisneyQuest is a huge TO DO for all 4 of my boys :lmao:

I wanted to do this on my 22nd birthday. One of my friends, ended up having to go to work, so we ended up like running around World Showcase, another one never made it through her first margarita. Let's just say things did not go as planned. Perhaps the problem was we didn't quite have a plan. I enjoyed my food at Mexico, and the drinks I had and had a blast and that is all that really matters.:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 One of these days I will try again.

Well didn't you say you were thinking about moving to Sanford.
All in all I love it here.

well, there you go, Jo! another reason to join you there. We could both quit our jobs and just be the Official DDA WDW Greeters! :thumbsup2

Vicki & Terry - congrats on the upcoming anniversaries! Vicki - I hope you and Chuck plan to celebrate it after you get back from Lansing. :)

When things settle down at work, we plan on taking a 5 day week-end. Our Oct. trip is also our anniversary gift to ourselves.

Because I thought you all would want to know about Aidan...

So they say our boy will be a strict formula child tomorrow and then on to a bottle in the next few days. He is also quickly being removed from the high flow oxygen. It looks like Father's Day in my opinion might not be such a stretch.

They started giving him his heart medication orally today and it looks like after tomorrow they will stop with all of his feedings via his central line. This means that by the weekend, he may have his two main central lines removed (or at least no longer needed and just left for emergency needs) and that would only leave the feeding and nasal canula with those hopefully following soon.

I finally posted a few new pictures, so check out his wound picture, it's amazing and has made one member of the family quite jealous.

Well I just spoke with the Hospital and he made some major changes today. They have removed all assisted feedings and he currently is on a 90ML feeding every two hours with a one hour break. Next step is the bottles.

His Oxygen was dropped this morning from 3L to 2L at lunch and was dropped a few hours later to 1L per minute.

His is still oxygenating well and is absorbing all of his feeds with little to no spit ups. This boy is rocking and I can't be any prouder of him.

Just for those that wonder he will be 12 weeks old tomorrow and is currently 14lbs 5oz and 22" tall.

Well it's been quite a few exciting days. He continues to improve each and every day increasing his feeds to a current level of 16ml's per hour. Each and every day he passes this feed correctly which is a really good sign of things to come. He also had is Oxygen flow turned down from 6 to 4 today so hopefully we will get him back down to breathing unassisted room air and sucking on bottle for all feeds (not started this yet). I'm hoping to have him home by Father's Day.

brain sharing at its most complete, Deb!!

So Elin & Deb are sharing one of the brains tonight I see. Where are the other ones? :lmao:

I'm :rotfl2: :rotfl: because I was just about to post Aiden updates but I see several of you have already done so. :thumbsup2 There are also new pictures on his carepage as well. I am glad to hear he is doing so well.

Also here is the trip report which talks about the VIP Tour.

I'm waiting to get the pictures from Katrina for Becky's graduation. She had the best pictures on her camera. The ones on my camera didn't turn out very well. Once I get them, I'll post them on photobucket so that you can see.

We also got some great cousins pictures of my girls, my sisters kids and my brothers son. They turned out very nice.

Vicki I am sorry that things are not working out for next week. I do hope the work slows down for you soon!

Sorry to hear about your co-workers mother
