What is a locker fee and why do they need them? I had forgotten about all of the little fees that pop up in those later school years.

It's a gym lock it's $10 if they supply the lock, free if we do....I am going to see if I can find Cassidy's over the summer....so much easier and cheaper...they have to be a certain brand and type.

Hi!

Have a great weekend. Won't be on too much this w/e. Going to the beach airshow tom'w. Maybe the movie's too. Talk to you later!

Elin, I love your new signature! I want to just sit here and watch it all day!:rotfl2: It sounds like you have a very nice day ahead! Enjoy!

I guess it has been a while since I used my piano playing Mickey name if you think it is new! :rotfl: I put it away for a while since I liked the photo from our December trip so much. But now that summer is quickly approaching I decided it was time to get rid of the Christmas shot. I am glad you are enjoying it! I will try to post often so you get to see it a lot. :rotfl:

How is everyone's day going? My shoulder is still bothering me, but I've got soooo much to do. My cousin just came over and chopped my hair off. I haven't had it this short in years. Hopefully it will be easier to take care of for the summer. I need to get laundry put away as there is no space left to pile more :laundy: Hopefully we can get the house picked up over the weekend. I've fallen behind again. Between camping, being sick and working so much it is becoming a losing battle. I did send in our application for the oil coop so hopefully that will be taken care of and I won't have to worry this year like we did last year.

Sounds pretty good all around. Oh, and just give up on the laundry. Even if you think that you are caught up, there are little sprites that will sneak things into the hamper when you aren't looking. (These are the same sprites that steal single socks, and apparently my daughter's panties since they seem to be disappearing at a rapid rate.)

Have you got a dog? Button has taken quite a shine to Kristin's and my undies lately!

Congrats to Kristin. Enjoy your quiet day today!

We're off this evening to a lakehouse that Randy's best man and his wife built last year near Austin.

I hope everyone has a fun and safe Memorial day weekend!

I have had a wonderful morning so far, thanks!

Sounds like a great weekend for you and your family, Marci. Enjoy!

I bet they are stuck inside of winter clothes. Next year Tia will be walking through a store and have a pair of Terra's panties fall out of the leg of her pants :rotfl: Sweaters love to have things stick inside of them. You never know what fun things will surface when you get dressed

break time! my parents and i have beem runningaround trying to get things ready for tomorrow..its my graduation/firemen picnic...anywhere from 100-200 people will come...so were busy busy..but i declared it break time!

Love it Tom!!!

By the way, what software did you use for your video?
My new computer came with a program called Windows Movie Maker. I  it!

This made me laugh out loud, Tom. Sleep tight...
Thanks Elin! Steffy's posts always put a smile on my face!

Good morning, All

Tom, DH can relate! Seems people want chips with their buns. Your DVD sounds cool!

I would love to take the kids to the zoo if it would stop raining!
With this part of the country experiencing little to no rain lately our sales have been through the roof! Plus lots of graduations take place this time of year too, so people do need buns to go with your DH's chips!

I wish it would rain soon here. I'll take your rain, so that you can go to the zoo!
What program did you use, Tom? Mine isn't that high-tech, but I do want to learn how to do all of that. Wanna teach
me???
For the program Tammi, see above!
This program is so neat! My DVD includes a start menu that includes scene selection snd a notes section that I was able to note the dates of our vaction and where we stayed. I even have rolling credits at the end! This program comes with different transitions between pictures and you can zoom and pan your photos. It really feels like you're watching a movie, and not just a slide show with photos flipping past. I highly recommend it!
I would be happy to give you pointers!

Tia, your post about Terra's panties disappearing made me chuckle! I am always saying the same thing too!

Where do they all go! Those little sprites sure seem to get around!

So I spent the afternoon converting all of my WDW video to DVD, edited out some of the goofs, put in titles, etc. It came out to about 35 minutes in length. Most of it is the kids with characters, Chef Mickey's napking twirling, CRT, BBB, the talking trash can, FOTLK, and so on. I showed it to Bob tonight. Seems I have my work cut out converting him to a WDW fan. His response to the character stuff...."why spend all that time waiting in line when you could be riding???"

My guess is that he'll "get it" when he takes his trip with a professional!

Tammi- I would not discount your ability to converting Bob on the Disney just because he does not "get" character interaction.

I am not big on characters, never have been probably won't ever be. I think I had pictures with characters two times besides my character breakfast at Cape May Cafe on my last trip. The one was a Visa meet and greet the other time Chip and Dale had absolutely no one around and they started interacting with me as I was walking out of EPCOT to go to the Boardwalk.

I do not like waiting in lines to see characters. If I want to see characters I will do a character breakfast, it gives me the chance to have the interaction I want without taking time away from other things I would rather be doing such as riding rides, watching shows, swimming, relaxing, etc.

The thing I love about Disney is there is something for everyone. If you want to ride rides, yep you can do that.:thumbsup2 If you want to spend your time meeting characters, yep you can do that.:thumbsup2 If you want to watch shows, yep you can do that.:thumbsup2 If you want to eat in lots of different restaurants, yep you can do that.:thumbsup2 If you want to golf, fish, SCUBA dive yep you can do that.:thumbsup2 If you want to sit relax and people watch, yep you can do that.:thumbsup2 I can keep going but I think I have said enough.

We are all Disney addicts here, well at least I will admit to my addiction whether everyone else wants to or not that is up to them. We all have something Disney related which has brought us together. However if I asked every single one of the DDA members what they love about Disney I would get many, many different answers. We all love Disney, but what exactly is Disney??:confused3 It is what causes the magic for us and what every single one of us makes it out to be.

Give Bob more time, he will probably come around eventually.:thumbsup2

Very well put, Becky!!! You nailed it, exactly!!! I think that's what really surprised Alan about WDW in January! Being there without kids, we really didn't have to do the "kid" stuff that he really hates (stalking characters, character meals, Fantasyland, etc.). Don't get me wrong, in 9 days we'll be at DL and he'll put a happy face on and do those things for his kids, but if he had his "druthers" he'd be perfectly happy going on the "E" ticket rides, and people watching all day. Just yesterday he mentioned that he would love to spend a couple of days just in Epcot!!!!

well I am exhausted...I have to try and remember to call my dr. tomorrow and see if I can talk to him about my extreme tiredness and just plain blechy feeling. My husband loves you all...he gets on me about calling the dr. about my problems I do nothing...one of you mentions something and I have to call.

We are using the three day weekend to finish moving....3 weeks later!!:rotfl:

Hope everyone's Friday is great!!

Have a fantastic "end of move" weekend!!! Don't forget to celebrate with a cookout on Monday!!! I sure wish I could come help you!!! It just seems so silly to be so close (relatively speaking), and not manage to get together! We're going to have to work on it. Once my DL trip is done, and your WDW trip is done, and we have nothing else to plan, we can get on it! Sound good???

Me too! I'm looking forward to relaxing over the weekend! Going to try to see if Bob might want to go to the zoo - If not, I might try to get a girlfriend to go with me!

I've been thinking about doing this with the kids on Monday! Alan has to work, so that would be a fun outing for us. Our zoo has a rare white alligator on display for a limited time, and I'd love to take the kids to see it! We'll see how things go!

Check behind the sofa! That's where I found all of the twins panties!!! I don't know why they ended up there, but that's where I found them!!!

That reminds me that I was going to ask something....Glynis, do you use boneless or bone-in tighs on the lime chicken nachos?

Well, I'm a lazy cook, so I use boneless, skinless thighs. You could use the bone-in, but then you'd have to spend more time picking out the bones. I just like to set them and forget them!

Glynis - Just wanted to say that I really liked you lemon pork chops that I made yesterday. Funny thing is though, I could hardly taste the lemon pepper. Does that mean I didn't put enough in, or is it supposed to be that way?

It's really a matter of taste. I don't like a lot, so I don't do it too heavily. The reason it's called Lemon Pork chops is because in the original recipe, it called for a lemon to be sliced thinly and placed on top of the chops while they cook. I tried it and it was so bitter!!! Sometimes, I'll add a splash of lemon juice to the brown sugar/ketchup mixture. It's a pretty forgiving recipe, so you can play around with the levels.

Glad you liked them, though! I guess I should really change the name to sweet and sour pork chops.
