OK, Marti... I knew that Clare and her DH were going to WDW now, but I had no idea you and Marci were also going! How fun... except for the sunburn you seem to have gotten. Rochester sun is a lot less strong if I remember correctly.

We are home from meeting with the family. DH & DS agree that they are very nice people. I just phoned the agent to tell her we are ready to move into contract negotiations, but her cell phone was cutting out so she is going to call me back.

Momboss left me a voice mail that she got a call from the mom with the 18 mo. old for a reference. She said she told the mom I'm not too bad.:rotfl2: I had a voice mail from the dad asking me to call to discuss the position, but I am going to wait a little bit before I call them. Obviously they wouldn't have called for references if they didn't manage to come up with a bit more in salary, so declining their offer is going to be difficult. They are SUCH a nice couple.

The couple we just met with are very nice, too, and I think I will enjoy working for them. We just need to make sure we are all on the same page as far as contract terms and we'll be all set.

Bernadette - You trip report is wonderful! I absolutely LOVE    your pictures! I wish that I had more opportunities to really focus on my pictures. I tried to do that some at DL on Monday, but haven't had a chance to look at them to see how I really did. I'll post some if they turned out well.
Thanks! I'm sure I won't take 1/2 as many photos in August on a trip that will twice as long.

Would love to see your DL photos!

And finally, it looks like I will be babysitting once again. Chris is going to start a position as salesman at the local Cadillac dealership sometime this week. Since he will be on comission only, Kristi will continue working for awhile at least. I will have all 3 kids, probably 4 days a week since Chris will be off of work one weekday and working on Saturdays. Best of all, though, we are going to work it so that I have one of their cars a few times a week so that we can get out and do things. That was my one dread...having 4 kids cooped up in the house all summer long with the inability to go anywhere. Now we're making plans for library trips, picinics and field trips.

And speaking of picincs, I've got to run. We are having a family picnic today for birthday. We're picking up BBQ from a local restaurant and taking other yummies to go with it. Terra and I are off to locate a table in the shade and everyone else will meet us soon. I tried to get Mickey plates yesterday to use, but Party City didn't have them anymore. So, we're going with the theme colors on everything - red, yellow and black. :cloud9: I'm so excited!

Catch up with you all later today! Have a great one!!!!
Congrats to Chris and its great that you'll have a car.

The picnic sounds great!

Anybody recognize these Disney fans?

Glad things went well today. When would you start with this family?

:wizard: That contract negotiations are easy!

Tia and Becky-I've been meaning to tell you both that the Maha Power EX rechargeable batteries that I bought for my Sony did appear to work better than the Sony batteries. Somedays I took over 500 photos and I never had to change my batteries more than 1 time per day. I did however not take many flash photos.

Here's a link:

Looks good Debbie :thumbsup2

I've been working on some designs for our trip today, before I post this one let me say that I have "borrowed" the concept and don't take any credit for coming up with it.

The trip is going to be a surprise and I am dying to tell him.

Thanks! I requested a start date of June 25. They have a nanny now that they want to give a one month notice, so that should work out fine. The 25th is a month from Friday, so we should have the contract worked out by then. (Or not, in which case I will not be taking that job.)

Good evening everyone! I see it has been another quiet day here. The graduation was wonderful, why does certain music always make you cry when you are trying not to :confused3 Here are a couple of pictures from after the ceremony.

Becky - I hope you get some sleep before a day ay Dorney Park with a herd of Girl Scouts!! ;)

I couldn't sleep last night I went to bed around 11pm and couldn't sleep. At least I was not responsible for any girls, as it was not a troop event. Although there were 3-5 girls from the troop there with there families. I was volunteering for the council, I had to roam around the park for 4 hours wearing a bright orange Girl Scout volunteer shirt and answer questions and help with issues.

The park was closed to the public and was only open for the Girl Scouts. There were about 10,000 people at the park they were all Girl Scouts or families and friends of Girl Scouts as everyone needed to buy there tickets through council.

It was a nice day until about 5pm when it started to pour for 2 hours. I walked back to my car in the rain and got soaked. It was raining pretty heavy the whole way home and I had a heck of a time seeing.

I need to buy new wind shield wipers, I actually had them in my hand the one day at the store and set them down to look at something else. I didn't realize till I got home I had no new wind shield wipers. By the time I got home I was very glad because I had this horrible sinus headache and neck ache and felt like I was going to throw up and was almost in tears because of the pain.:sad2: :sad2: It was a combination of the changing air pressure and reflux and it was not fun. I was fine until I was partially home.

When I got home I took sinus meds, pain killer and reflux meds and hopped in bed and the pain is gone.:cool1:  :yay: I had the meds with me but they were in the trunk and there really was no place to stop and get them without getting soaked again.:headache:

I hope everyone had a great day.:thumbsup2

Well, my premonition on the caterer last night lived up to my expectations. The food was fine, but the service was absolutely terrible. (Elizabeth and Marci - don't ever use Macklin's Catering!) If myself and two other girls from my dept. hadn't been there, I don't know how it would have played itself out. We set up the chairs and tables beforehand (as it would have never happened on time if we'd waited for them), had to ride the butts of the serving staff while they were around for everything from letting us know the food was ready for serving to busing plates, and then they had the audacity to basically sneak out the door without telling anyone they were leaving, when there were tables all still up, dirty drink glasses everywhere, etc. - the party was still going on! So, myself and my two assts. (with the assitance of our bartender, which was nice of him) had to tear everything down, get the rentals ready for pick-up, etc. Needless to say, I left a very stern message on the caterer's answering machine to call me on Monday to discuss a discount, and to give them the reasons we won't be using their services ever again. From now on, it's back to my favorite caterers (my asst. picked these caterers, and I thought I would just see if they had changed). With my favorite caterers, I never have to lift a finger, and if I have to work on the weekend, that's the way I prefer it!

Lindsay- Sorry to hear the caterer's were crappy. Its too bad you don't live in PA as my neighbor runs an awesome catering business and the service is outstanding.:thumbsup2 Let's just say it also costs a pretty penny. The thing that is hurting his business right now is the fact he does not own his own location to cater in. Although I am glad to here you normally have a good caterer. :thumbsup2

I received notification from Paypal that my pins are being shipped tomorrow :cool1:

It is still a great family photo, Janet!

You all look so happy! Great photo! And you look fabulous! I can absolutely see the difference the weight loss has made.:thumbsup2

Oh, no! I missed it! I was watching up to the point where they said the mortgage was paid off then I walked out of the room. I think DS changed the channel after that or he would have said something! Darn!!
I am so glad you are feeling better! And I am glad they allowed you to volunteer today even though you aren't old enough!;)

I need to call that family back and just see what they have to say. This is the part where I wish ALL of the jobs were agency jobs because then the AGENT would have to say I accepted another position.:guilty:

Great pictures Janet, it looks like while the boys have been growing you have been shrinking! Congratulations!!
