Anne Marie - DS wants to name her Anastasia, but DH prefers Anamaria. I could go with either one. Sister likes Anastasia, too. But Anamaria is a pirate, which is pretty hard to top. You'll have to check in tomorrow and see what we decide! DH & DS have gone to bed and we never did make a decision. Good night!

Alright- i need some opinions--i have to decide what i want to wear to graduation...ill show you pics of all the choices..dont look at the hair--i didnt have the hairdresses dry it so it doesnt look good!

Sooo what do ya all think

I love them all, but number 3 is my very favorite. There's something about the black top with the colored skirt that I just think looks very dignified. The others are great, too, though. Tough decision.

I second this, Janet! I am so glad you were home and that the alarms worked. Ours also worked last September and if it had not, I don't know that I would have wakened up in time. :grouphug:

P.S. - I hope there is NEVER a next time, but if there is...............

FORGET THE PANTS! We love you too much to lose you that way!

AMEN!!!!!

Bedtime here. Sleep well, DDA! I will see you all in the morning! :)

I mentioned that I had forgotten to take Alyssa's Cinderella dress, so she had no princess dress to wear to the BBB, and I certainly wasn't upgrading to the Crown package, for $175. So after eating at AKL the previous night, my parents took the kids back to OKW and I made a quick dash over to MK to buy a dress for her. $60 later I was on my way back to OKW with an Ariel dress.

So on Monday we get up and Alyssa and I head straight to DTD. We had the first appt. at BBB at 9 AM. If any of you do this, beware that the buses do not start running to DTD as early as they do the parks, because nothing is open. The World of Disney doesn't open until 0930, but the BBB, which is in WOD opens at 0900. Anyway, we were at the bus stop at 0815 and the TL bus pulls up, and the driver gratiously offers to take us to DTD since no one was going to TL. Thank you, driver! We got there with plenty of time to spare and walk around checking out all the lego statues.

A few other little princesses to be start trickling in. About 8:50 they open the doors to WOD and we head to the back where the BBB is. At this time about 10 Fairy Godmother's in Training converge on us, which sort of overwhelms Alyssa. She clings to me and is rather shy around them, not wanting to get in her chair. After a little encouragement, she eventually sits and lets them start transforming her.

015.jpg

The first thing they do is hand her a brochure to pick out a hairstyle. She opts for the Diva Princess. FGM Maria starts working on her hair and another one lets Alyssa select what color eyeshadow she wants, nail color, hair clips, extensions, etc.

017.jpg

About 15 minutes later she is now a Birthday Princess.

019.jpg

Afterwards we are sent over to guest services where they have a photography session.

I was able to take my own pictures while the photopass photographer shot hers. I only got one, thanks to my free 5x7 coupon. Alyssa was on :cloud9: .

In the meantime, my mom, dad and Nicholas headed to MK, where Nicholas got his hair done at the barber shop.

IMG_0407.jpg

By afternoon he was hating it, because it dried, got hard, and started itching. He still has a faint red spot on the back of his head where the dye hasn't completely faded away. We eventually meet up, do a few rides, and then have lunch at CRT, which, as usual, was delicious.

IMG_0411.jpg

Around 2 we head out and back to our resort for a cool-down and a nap. When we there Alyssa's bday cake had been delivered, along with balloons and a card from Cinderella. Of course we had to have cake then, before our nap.

IMG_0434.jpg

Around 5 we headed back to MK for some more rides, Spectromagic and Wishes. I liked how this picture turned out. Most of the other ones ended up blurry.

How darling she looks!!! Nicholas looks like he had fun with the grandparents, too! I'm so glad that Alyssa's birthday was a hit!!!

Well bedtime for me too..have to get up early tomorrow to get down to rowan for graduatino practice--ugh--talk to you all tomorrow!

I've already laid claim to the one with Goofy! :rotfl: I'll have to remember that trick if I ever want to upgrade to an AP!

I felt like a brat doing it, but it was pretty late at night, there was no one else there, and when I asked if there was any way that I could select which card I got, the CM offered to open up the machine and hunt one out. Otherwise, what you get is completely random!

Hello everyone I thought I would just pop in to say hi and let everyone know how we're doing. I miss being able to chat but things with Zack and school has been hectic. Throw a few ER visits in and what a spring. Effie was climbing in the kitchen and fell and cracked the back of his head so needed stitches. But we are doing well.
Zack is now on some medication and I feel like we're actually making progress.:thumbsup2 He has autism spectral disorder and PDD-NOS and is being evaluated by a occupational therapist for sensory integration disorder.
The kids have 1 month of school left and I have a ton of volunteer things to wrap up. I hope everyone is doing well and maybe I'll have some free time when school gets out to DIS.:) I still have to plan our family's GG for this Dec. :santa: ADR's have to be made in June and I'm nowhere near figuring out what restaurants every family can agree on.
Well I'm off to gather up things for teacher appreciation week. Thank you to everyone who prayed for Zack this year as things are starting to go somewhere and I feel prayer had something to do with it. Thanks and I hope everyone has a great May. :goodvibes
Christi

It's good to see you, Christie, and continued :wizard: :grouphug: for your family! Pop in when you can! :goodvibes

I heard back from the foster mom, and we are tentatively set for me to get the kitty tomorrow morning. We will have to pay for all of her vet bills, but at least we will have her and know she is safe. I think the foster is very bitter about the way the group is handling things, so she is quite happy to tell all their secrets. Our vet's office was APPALLED that they were going to spay such a little kitty - they want the kitty to be at least 3 months old.

We found out today that DS passed all of his TAKS tests! The teachers kept saying the Science test is really hard, and the kids only get one shot to pass it. If they fail the principal has to give them permission to go to the next grade level. Since our principal was fired in the aftermath of the lawsuit the lady we have now doesn't know DS from a hole in the ground, so I am VERY thankful that his future does not rest in her hands!

Yay for a new kitty, and yay to DS for passing all his tests! :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo:

It appalls me, too, how young some of these rescue places (including the SPCA) are spaying/neutering animals. I have several friends that have adopted puppies that were fixed at barely 8 weeks old. That is crazy! Our vet wouldn't touch our dog until she was 6 months old, and rightfully so, IMO.

I like dress #1 the best, although they're all nice! Good choices! :thumbsup2

Have you guys heard the rumor that in 2008 there will be no tips included on the DDP? Interesting. We already know that we come out ahead with the DDE card. The only reason we have DDP for August is because it was free. Would you still buy DDP if you had to tip out of pocket?:confused3

Interesting - hadn't heard that - that does cut into the savings quite a bit, I would think!

We've only done the DDP once (when we got it free last August). For our eating habits, the DDE works better for us.

Thank you all for your kind words about the pictures..you guys make me feel so good.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

My MIL is still here so it has been hard to get on the pc.

I weighed in this morning..down 1.8lbs!

I was surprised since I ate whatever I wanted at the communion but I was good the other 6 days. I am so happy..I thought I would just end up maintaining.

:grouphug: for everyone. I am heading to bed.

Good for you, Anne Marie! Just from the one picture you've posted, you're looking great.

I really need to start something myself - I need to eat healthier and start exercising again. I have a little over 6 mos. until the cruise, but am worried about my summer schedule and if it's possible. We'll see!

Elizabeth's post about her DS's Texas Standardized Testing reminded me that I had wanted to tell you what the Great Commonwealth of Virginia calls those for our students in public schools:

Standards Of Learning... :rolleyes1

That sounds about right! ;) :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

The picture of Alyssa with her hair and makeup done in that beautiful dress took my breath away. that was well worth the money. You will treasure that photo forever.

My boys always get their hair done too. I think they've decided that the pixie dust is a little much. It takes forever to get it all out. I'm sure they will do the color gels again too. They love the attention :cool2:

Anne Marie - DS wants to name her Anastasia, but DH prefers Anamaria. I could go with either one. Sister likes Anastasia, too. But Anamaria is a pirate, which is pretty hard to top. You'll have to check in tomorrow and see what we decide! DH & DS have gone to bed and we never did make a decision. Good night!

The obvious choice for me ;) would be to name her Ana. Then Son could nickname her Anastasia and Dh could call her AnaMarie and everyone is happy. That is how Colby got his name. Cole + Billy = Colby :lmao:

Wonderful TR installment, Tammi. Alyssa looked so beautiful (but so grown up!)! How special that they have b-day sashes at the BBB, too.

Did you order the b-day cake from Olivia's? So pretty - and it matched her dress! :goodvibes

Glad to see that Nicholas had a good time, too. Those hairdo's always make me smile. :goodvibes

Well, it's rumbling around again outside - looks like it's time for our daily thunderstorm. Better shut everything down before things get hairy around here once again!

(I can't wait until I have my laptop - then power be da*ned! :goodvibes )

Goodnight, DDA! :cloud9:

Number 2!

I don't think this is too bad...I remember traveling on the Silver Plan when it was around $60 a person for two meals a day...with this down to $40 a day - I don't mind paying the tip. It might mean that service would improve for some knowing they won't be getting a flat percentage again. But that's me!

Why not just Ana? ;)

Same thought!

Tammi-Sounds like a fun day! i love the BBB pictures!

Love the pictures, Tammi! Especially the one of Nocholas and Alyssa with their new "dos." Looks like Alyssa had a really terrfic birthday and your Mom and Dad made it possible for Nicholas to feel like it was a special day for him too.

Tammi - Alyssa looks so pretty!!princess: I am having such a good time reading about your trip! Thanks for telling me about Nicholas's hair. DS would HATE that since he is still kind of tactile defensive. He never wants any kind of tattoos or face paint or anything, and now I know not to do the hair thing.

How darling she looks!!! Nicholas looks like he had fun with the grandparents, too! I'm so glad that Alyssa's birthday was a hit!!!

Thanks for all the nice comments. It's fun writing all this up, and figuring out which pictures to post. I get to relive the trip and smile at all the memories we've made.

Yes, I got the cake from Olivia's. I didn't request any specific colors, it just came that way.
