DDA prayers needed

My grandmother has been going to an arthritis Dr. well the Dr. ran some tests. They think my grandmother has bone cancer. She will be 76 in July and is not in the best of health. She sees the cancer Dr. tomorrow. Prayers that the tests are wrong.
Sending prayers and good thought your way!:grouphug:
Hi, Tom!

I think we're almost in your situation with this computer. I know Alan is looking for something new. I'm trying to get hard copies of everything I have on the computer before it dies! Yikes!!!

Glad Leighanna came through her screening so well! Do you have any feelings about the elementary schools either way? Can you request one above the other? We have 2 elementary schools here, and we can actually have our kids go to either one. However, if we choose to place our kids in the school that's outside our boundaries, they don't have to provide transportation, we'd have to drive them. Luckily, the school we wanted them to go to, is the one within our boundaries. It's actually about 2 and a half miles from our house, so the kids ride the bus. I don't mind though, since the bus stop is visible from my backyard, so I can watch to make sure they make it!
I knew the time was coming to get this new computer. It is just so hard to part with my hard earned money!

As far as the school situation goes. The principal told me unless she has a sibling already attending one of the schools, they will place her where they feel fit.
Both schools are only about 10 minutes away. One is on the North side, and the other is on the South side!

Okay, I'm just going to be obnoxious now....:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

:cool1:  :dance3: single digits :dance3: :hippie: :cheer2: party: :jumping1: :teleport: :rainbow: :drinking: :smickey:

I can barely breathe. I am so stopped up. Darn pollen.:flower3:

That's okay. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. :yay:
You crack me up! Obnoxious and all! Hope you get "unstopped up" soon!:goodvibes

Well, I spent the better part of the evening at the doctor's with Jacob. Poor little guy began complaining of ear pain at about 5:00 this afternoon. I didn't think much of it, but he kept complaining, and at about 7:30 tonight he was in so much pain he was crying. I took him to the after hours clinic in our neighborhood, and the doctor tried to take a look. Poor little guy has such a build up of ear wax that he couldn't even see the ear drum. He literally had to chisel away at it, and it hurt him so badly! I felt so terrible!!! Anyway, the good news is that it doesn't look like an infection, so he's on Motrin unless it gets worse. We also have to give him eardrops to loosen the wax. He'll have to go back in a couple of days to have his ears flushed out. Ick!!!

Luckily, we had a good day up until then! We worked in the yard all day. We got our garden plot tilled up, an arbor built for our grape vines, cut back the raspberry bushes, and put together a yard swing! It's starting to look really nice in the backyard! After dinner we took the kids to Cabela's to watch the fish feeding! It's really something. First they give the fish pellets, then worms, and finally goldfish! It's incredible to watch. Then we went to the upstairs shooting gallery and spent some time (and money) practicing our "shooting" Predictably, Alan beat the pants off all of us. We made a quick stop in the Cabela's "general store" for some yummy fudge, and it was off to home.

Of course, by that time Jacob was not doing well, so the evening was kind of a bummer. Poor guy. I have to wake him up every 4 hours for more Motrin, so I predict not much sleep for any of us. He's snuggled down in my bed right now, and he looks so cute. Luckily, he's a still sleeper, so at least I won't end up with sore kidneys!

How was everyone else's day?
Hope Jacob made it through the night o.k.! Poor little guy!

Most of the time. :goodvibes

Alyssa's on a Knock Knock joke kick. Her two favorites are:

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Boo
Boo who?
Don't cry, it's just a joke (insert name here :rotfl: )

Knock Knock
Who's there?
Who
Who Who?
I didn't know you were an owl (insert name here :rotfl: )

Matthew is eating table food already (he's got 8 teeth now) and he's still army-crawling all over the place. I can't wait to find out his height, weight, etc. tomorrow.
The "boo" joke was one of Leighanna's favorites. She would say it all the time!
Her other all time favorite is

Knock Knock

Who's There?

Banana

Banana who?

Knock Knock

Who's there?

Banana

Orange

Orange who?

Orange you glad that I didn't say banana!
I really, really tried. Heck my ticker says 180 days :confused3
The CM just kept saying 180 days from now is October 17 and she could not help me :rolleyes1

Set the alarm now! I know a lot of folks are counting on you!:dance3:

I hope Jacob is better today!

Have a great time Lindsay! Aloha!

Tammi and Steffy -- I hope you both get lots of things on your to-do list done!

Have a great day everyone! Jake was invited to a birthday party from 4 - 6 today, so I'm taking off a little early to take him to the party. It will probably take almost an hour to get there. :scared1: Gotta love the sprawled out DFW area. Luckily, they said Andrew could swim too, so I think they'll both have a great time. Both boys have soccer games tomorrow, and baseball lessons in the afternoon. We may go to the Dallas Stars playoff game tomorrow night, then Sunday is Church, an Earth Day party given by one of the families of a child in Andrew's class, and my niece's birthday party.

Well, I called and they told me that 180 days from now is October 17!!!! :headache:   :confused3 :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

Now I am awake :lmao: :lmao: Early,,,,

Yeah me, Stephanie, me awake early. :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Oh no!!! Well, just look at it as a trial run. :)

What time are you trying to get Cali Grill?

I really, really tried. Heck my ticker says 180 days :confused3
The CM just kept saying 180 days from now is October 17 and she could not help me :rolleyes1
It does say 180 days, but you have to count the hours as well, as part of a day. So technically it is 181 days.

Well, my day is off to a crappy start. Got into a big argument with xh2b. I can't stand him and I just wish he would be out of my life. He is a &%$(#@ idiot!!! Oh if I knew then what I know now I would NEVER have gotten involved with him. The only good thing is that I have 2 terrific children.

Now I just need to relax and get my blood pressure down!

Good morning, DDA!!:)

Garrett's hat that he wears at Disney has pins on it of Pooh & the gang. The only pin he was missing was Christopher Robinson. I finally found one on Ebay & won it for $1 :cool1: He will be so happy!

Wow! Disney polos that actually fit AND a pin for less than your house payment on eBay! I am impressed!:thumbsup2

Speaking of pins, can all of you going to Disney keep an eye out for this pin:

http://cgi.ebay.com/DISNEY-PIN-CAST...ryZ38005QQrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

This is the only one Riley needs to complete his set. We looked at everyones pins last trip, with no luck. I do not want to pay the price this seller is asking  Riley has alot of pins to choose from to trade for it :thumbsup2

Most of the "Buy It Now" prices are REALLY inflated. DS has the red one like that, which I saw on PinPics is one that has a high number of counterfeits. Great. But I will keep my eye out for a yellow if you don't have one by August!

Your going to Disney NEXT WEEKKKKKK!!!!:dance3: :dance3:

I am sorry you are stopped up.

Hope your congestion is better, Stephanie! YAY Disney!!

Hi Amy! I can't believe Matthew is going to be nine months already!

I agree! They all grow so fast!

Thanks! I really hope these drops work. I remember my brother going through this when he was about Jacob's age! The wax that was pulled out of his ears looked like the cotton the dentist uses to pack your teeth, only the wax was dark brown! Gross!!!!! I hope we can treat Jacob's with these drops and have it work out!

Sister has that problem, too. And her ear canals are tiny, tiny so they get all impacted with wax pretty easily. I hope Jacob feels better today!

So that Ebay item I never received...I opened a complaint and he also decided to escalate it with Paypal....I think he probably just forgot to mail it and is embarrassed....oh well I gues we will see. But I was just so peeved that he took 2 days to respond and then immediately escalated it and today of all days!!

I thought it was Becky who had a missing eBay item? I must be confused! I hope you get it all worked out! People who SELL on eBay are posting that PayPal is just refunding money to everyone without really even investigating, so the guy better watch out! You could get the item AND a refund!

Deb  hope you get to spend some time with Chris soon.

Deb, I can relate! I got home a little after midnight last night.

The shirt from Blue Turtle arrived yesterday! I think it is too big. DS hasn't tried it on yet. I will just wash it and hope it shrinks a little. Better to have it big than small. And maybe he will grow between now and August.

Yikes! I am late! Chat later!

Sorry you are having a rough start today Tammi. But you are right, just look at your children & know they are the best to ever happen to you :goodvibes

Riley got all of the Mickey signature pins from CM's on our last trip. He just needs the yellow one, thanks for keeping an eye out!

I received this in an email:

You might find some of these helpful, some are new
Unique and Useful Tips!
Reheat Pizza
Heat up leftover pizza in a non-stick skillet on top of the stove,
set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No
soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really
works.
Easy Deviled Eggs
Put cooked egg yolks in a zip lock bag. Seal, mash till they are all
broken up. Add remainder of ingredients, reseal, keep mashing it up
mixing thoroughly, cut the tip of the baggy, squeeze mixture into egg.
Just throw bag away when done easy clean up.
Expanding Frosting
When you buy a container of cake frosting from the store, whip it with
your mixer for a few minutes. You can double it in size. You get to
frost more cake/cupcakes with the same amount. You also eat less
sugar/calories per serving.
Reheating refrigerated bread
To warm biscuits, pancakes, or muffins that were refrigerated, place
them in a microwave with a cup of water. The increased moisture will
keep the food moist and help it reheat faster.
Newspaper weeds away
Start putting in your plants; work the nutrients in your soil. Wet
newspapers put layers around the plants overlapping as you go cover with
mulch and forget about weeds. Weeds will get through some gardening
plastic they will not get through wet newspapers.
Broken Glass
Use a dry cotton ball to pick up little broken glass pieces of
glass- the fibers catch ones you can't see!
No More Mosquitoes
Place a dryer sheet in your pocket. It will keep the mosquitoes away.
Squirrel Away!
To keep squirrels from eating your plants sprinkle your plants with
cayenne pepper. The cayenne pepper doesn't hurt the plant and the
squirrels won't come near it.
Flexible vacuum
To get something out of a heat register or under the fridge add an empty
paper towel roll or empty gif wrap roll to your vacuum. It can be bent
or flattened to get in narrow openings.
Reducing Static Cling
Pin a small safety pin to the seam of your slip and you will not
have a clingy skirt or dress. Same thing works with slacks that cling
when wearing panty hose. Place pin in seam of slacks and - voila -
static is gone.
Measuring Cups
Before you pour sticky substances into a measuring cup, fill it with hot
water. Dump out the hot water, but don't dry the cup. Next, add your
ingredient, such as peanut butter, and watch how easily it comes right
out .
Foggy Windshield?
Hate foggy windshields? Buy a chalkboard eraser and keep it in the glove
box of your car. When the windows fog, rub with the eraser! Works better
than a cloth!
Reopening envelope
If you seal an envelope and then realize you forgot to include
something inside, just place your sealed envelope in the freezer for an
hour or two. Voila! It unseals easily.
Conditioner
Use your hair conditioner to shave your legs. It's a lot cheaper
than shaving cream and leaves your legs really smooth. It's also a great
way to use up the conditioner you bought but didn't like when you tried
it in your hair...
Goodbye Fruit Flies
To get rid of pesky fruit flies, take a small glass fill it 1/2"
with Apple Cider Vinegar and 2 drops of dishwashing liquid, mix well.
You will find those flies drawn to the cup and gone forever!
Get Rid of Ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, take it
"home," & can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so,
esp. if it rains, but it works & you don't have the worry about pets or
small children being harmed!
Take baby powder to the beach
Keep a small bottle of baby powder in your beach bag. When your ready to
leave the beach sprinkle yourself and kids with the powder and the sand
will slide right off your skin.
Pass on these great tips to your friends and even the family!

Most of the time. :goodvibes

Good morning. Another busy day here, but what's new?

I need to shower and do laundry, type up a bunch of donation requests for cub scouts, get the boys to the pediotrist, come home and change before heading to work. At least the sun is shining and it looks like I have the weekend off with my family :cool1: It has been an extremely busy week at work which is great for the wallet but not so much for the mental aspects. I hope that we all escape the blahs soon. I really hope to spend some time outdoors this weekend. Nothing like sun to make things better.

Thanks for being there for me this afternoon everybody!!

Cassidy said she was getting ready to get her phone out to call me when it happened but everybody else in the classroom did...and as she said "THEY WEREN'T EVEN GOING TO CALL THEIR PARENTS". :confused3 So the teacher threatened to take all of them away...she didn't want to lose her phone.

We went over what to do if there is one tomorrow(quite a few local high schools are not even holding classes tomorrow...8th anniversary of Columbine) if she is off campus...she is to come straight home.

Who would have thunk we would ever have to have these conversations with their kids. :guilty:
:sad2: So glad she is fine.

And our Disney store stopped selling pins.
Mine doesn't sell pins either.

That's okay. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. I'm going to Disney next week. :yay:
