Thanks for the input on the baby's room. One of my girlfriend's offered to come help me paint. She also thinks that I need to make the white look a little more like lace to make it girly. I am not sure I would go lacy as there isn't lace on Snow White's dress but I am thinking of making it scalloped, so it looks like her collar somehow.

Yesterday when I got Molly up from her nap she wanted to know when baby Lucy was going to be here. She also said baby Lucy sleep in my room. She thinks she is coming today, I sure hope not!!! It is all she has talked about yesterday afternoon and this morning. So it sure looks like Lucy is her name.

Hi DDA

I am at work trying to catch up on my work.

When I left my sister's place, I mailed some things home so I would not have such a heavy carry on. Plus I had gotten some things for DD and DDIL and just wanted to mail them too.

I should just chalk all of this up to the worst trip traveling ever.

The box arrived today and the bottom was torn open  :headache:
I opened it up and thankfully everything is there but the sword to the Pal Mickey's pirate outfit
I have the paperwork at home, so tomorrow I will be making a call about that!!!
I guess Stephanie will be picking me up another Pirate Costume.

I just want to go home and curl up into a ball.

Yup don't mess with Molly!!!:lmao:

Lucy needs to stay with mom a little longer and than Molly can have her!!:rotfl:

I like the scalloping idea for Lucy's room.

Good mornig, DDA.

Thanks to everyone for their kind words and thoughts and prayers. All of Kristin's immediate friends have been accounted for at Tech. My best friend from college (the one whose Mom died a few weeks ago) has a nephew in the cadet corps there and I have not heard anything back from her. And I have a favorite former student who just visited me over spring break who is an engineering student. Norris Hall is an engineering building. I have not had a response from Chris to the email I sent on Monday evening. I know there could be many reasons why but it still is causing me concern and worry as it will be a few days before the list of victims is put out.

Elin - continued prayers for you and others dealing with this. I will pray specifically that you hear from Chris himself very soon. :wizard: :grouphug:

Have you ever meet and EVIL person? Someone you just knew deep down that something was not right.

Off the top of my head, I don't think so. I've met some people that were mean, hateful, and/or selfish, but I don't necessarily classify that as Evil with a capital "E."

Yes. I almost married him.

:scared1: I'm so glad you didn't!

Nick got up early this morning and offered to watch Colby so that I could sleep in :cloud9:  I certainly enjoyed that extra hour of sleep and Colby was so happy to have his big brother all to himself.

WTG, Nick! :woohoo:

That was the best part...the dress was $40.....now the accessories we still have to get are going to kill me I think!!:rotfl:

Awesome deal on the dress! :thumbsup2 I hope she has a great time!

Me too!!!

I didn't get an e-mail. Why oh why don't they want my opinion? :guilty:

I'm betting it's either because I don't have children, or that I answered truthfully that someone in my family works for a drug manufacturer.

I ordered Alyssa's bday cake. I've decided against having something at CRT, since we will be so full from our meal and what doesn't get eaten will just get thrown out. So I called Olivia's at OKW and ordered an 8" vanilla cake with white chocolate filling and white chocolate frosting. They will deliver it to the room after 4PM with candles and a balloon. So in the evening when we get back it will be waiting for us. Plus we will be able to save the leftovers to snack on the rest of the week.

I'm so excited!!!!!

That sounds perfect, Tammi! :cloud9:

I'm hoping that it rained enough to cancel Jake's baseball practice for tonight. I really need to do some work on Mom's closet tonight. It would be nice to not have that hanging over me anymore, and other than having to take Andrew to Awana's it should be a quiet evening. Why oh why did I say that? I probably just jinxed myself...

Have a great Wednesday everyone!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Marci! :goodvibes

So Cassidy took a picture of the dress to school....all of her FRESHMAN friends say it's too homecomingy (Cassidy's words not mine!).

BLECH!!!

Ugh, I don't blame you, Terry! I'm so sorry, but at least it's stuff that can be replaced.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that Lucy doesn't make an early appearance, despite her big sister's insistence. :rolleyes1

Good luck with the painting - I can't wait to see the finished product!

Yeah I've learned my lesson is dealing with her!! ;)

Thanks, it she came anytime soon I'd be in big trouble. We have absolutely nothing ready.

I am still hoping those DVD's make it to you and in one piece. I haven't gotten them back and Eric did mail them! I asked him again and I also rummaged his work bag and van.

I need to get off of here and fix lunch. The kids are watching Mary Poppins as none of them feel real good. I love these easy days because they don't happen often.

Sounds great!!

She did, but I bet after talking to her friends she will say no I don't like it...the other dress that was a contender isn't any fancier so I am just waiting until I have a chance to talk to her on the phone to see if I can convince her that this is one time (among many) that you don't have to listen to your friends who have no experience in this area.

I hope your talk can convince her and make her happy with the dress. A bunch of freshman girls don't know what they are talking about! I'll bet none of them are even going to the prom.

Hello everyone, just a quick pop in before I head to work.

Terry I am glad you made it home, sorry about the troubles though. Sorta sounds like Gary & I with our trip to Europe.

Tammi I love how you are having the birthday cake delivered to your room, Alyssa will be so surprised!

Lindsay sorry you have not heard from Pinecone, but you are probably right as to why.

Theresa glad to hear you found a dress, I hope now Cassidy decides to keep it & not listen to her friends.

Elizabeth good luck with the new job possibility, sounds like it might be a good one.

I got the closet finished yesterday & took most of the stuff to Goodwill. Marci I know it will be hard for you to do your mothers. I will be thinking of you

To everyone else :wizard: &

What do those silly girls know anyway? I'm sure it will look perfect - she can glitz it up a bit more with some accessories if need be!

Sorry. Next time lie!!!

I would feel silly doing so, but now I'm just curious as to what the factor is that I keep getting passed up.

DH does work for a pharma company, but it's not like I have any clue (other than the drug he reps) of what all they manufacture, and they certainly don't do any drugs or products that are "consumer" products.

Thanks, it she came anytime soon I'd be in big trouble. We have absolutely nothing ready.

No DVD's yet, but I will keep you posted! It's so weird!

I agree with Beth! :thumbsup2

Hello everyone, just a quick pop in before I head to work.

Have a good day at work, Janet. Congrats on getting the closet done!

Lindsay- I bet the Pinecone has more to do with your household size than the working for a drug company. But I could be wrong...I have been wrong once or twice in my life. :lmao:

That sounds like a great plan

I think keeping the paint just as you showed will work. Use accessories to make it girlier. Curtains with scalloped edges or beautiful girly pictures will go a long way. Keep it simple. sometimes that works best

Ugh! This has been an interesting morning!

DH and I were sitting at the computer (the new one) earlier and we heard a big POP! fromt he old computer. Then the new computer went dark!:scared1: The fuse blew, which has never happened before. DH flipped it back on after we unplugged everything. POP! from the OUTLET where we plug in the surge protector for the old computer, and the fuse tripped again. So we called maintenance. We also realized the refrigerator was off, and so were the outlets in the kitchen! The guy was up here in less than 5 minutes, but he couldn't find anything wrong with the outlet and the fuse stayed on when he turned it on.:confused3 The computer appears to be fine. But we completely disconnected the old one and moved the new one to the desk where it will live from now on, so I am not sure what will become of the files and whatever still trapped in the old one!

The insurance company called to say they never got our payment, so that was a pain to research. Turns out they did get it.

I had a Dr. appt. down the street from the potential new employers, so I tested out the drive on my way home. About 13 miles (which is what Mapquest said) and 25 minutes without traffic. But there are 2 sets of train tracks and a couple of school zones, so it could be pretty slow going in the morning! I did get an e-mail from the mom saying she got my resume and she is just waiting to hear back from her DH about scheduling an interview. He is out of town on business.

I got a voice mail from a mom who found my profile on an online nanny placement site. I didn't realize I put my phone number on there! She wants someone to start NOW and her kids are 7 & 4. NOT what I am looking for! And she lives more than 10 miles away because when I search the site with 10 miles as the cutoff her family doesn't come up! If I am going to drive it will not be for school age kids. Only roly-poly babies need apply.;)

I am off to pick up Brother. I might pop in later, but this afternoon we have Taekwondo and DS's theater performance so it will be kind of busy.

Hi everyone.

I have to meet with the caterers for Daniel's communion within the week. Can't believe its almost here. Its a buffet & I still have to pick 5 dishes & I can't decide!!!! I have to go get the menu & really look at it again. I have to print out the table cards on the computer. Also have to order the balloon centerpeices this week..ah & yes the favors..I am making custom herhsey bars with his name & communion date on them...so I have to get that done as well. So much to do!!!! Oh & I need to find something to wear!!!!!!!:scared: I know it will all come together but I am stressing!

Terry,
What an ordeal all around..glad you are home.

Tammi,
Wow it's almost time for you to go to WDW!!!

Theresa,
Unfortunately at that age, what their friends think is super important. Hopefully she will listen to herself & keep the dress.

Deb,
What good boys you have! Take care of yourself & feel better.

Elin,
I hope Chris is o.k.:grouphug:

Tammi -Last summer when we were at WDW for my birthday my friends had a cake sent to our room at 6 AM. We were on our way to breakfast at CP, so we didn't eat any right then. We put it in the fridge thinking we would get to it later. It stayed in the fridge all week! I finally did eat a piece the day before we went home because I know it wasn't cheap! It was yummy, even after sitting in the fridge. I think you are wise not to have it brought to the restaurant - having it int he room is better!

Theresa - I hope Cassidy's friends decide to shut up!;)
