You all may already know this, but free dining is being offered again. Monday it opens up for Disney Visa card holders & then on the 12th it will be open to the public. The dates for the free dining are Aug. 26th - Sept. 22cd. Hopefully some of you will be able to take advantage of this!

Well, we got our eggs done, though apparently I missed out on the real fun of it. I helped the kids do most of the eggs and dyed one on my own. When we left to head to Kristi's there were only 3 undyed eggs left. Somehow, Erin, Mom and Rachel dyed eggs for another hour. Apparently, they were getting rather creative and also went back and did more to some of the lighter and plainer eggs the kids had done. I'm a little intrigued to see what they did. A little bummed too that I only got to do one egg :(, but that's just me being whiny.

Well, I think I had better go see if the girls are asleep. Kassie hasn't been feeling good today so I don't want her up too late, but last I left them they were watching a movie together in Kassie's bed.

I think I'm turning into Elizabeth! :rotfl:

If anyone who's traveling to Disneyland and see's the Pirate Tigger I'd pay dearly for that one! Bob would LOVE it!

Has anyone ordered pins via Guest Services? Is that something where I'd have to call day of? I've never called to order pins before...or any WDW/DL merchandise via phone before...

I'll be going the first week in June. I'll look for it then, if you don't find one before then.

Just checking in. No time to catch up but wanted to say I am here. Dad is making root beer floats for everyone so I gotta go! Have a good night.

Glad you made it there safely! Now, relax and have a wonderful Easter with your parents. I can't wait to see the pictures of Nicholas and Alyssa! Enjoy!!!

Well, I'm off for the night. I need to make a batch of treats, and maybe a batch of low carb potato salad for our barbecue tomorrow. I'm really tired, though, so I may just get up early in the morning.

I won't be around much tomorrow or Sunday, so I just want to wish all you a Happy Easter, Happy Passover, or anything else you celebrate! I can't wait to catch up with all of you later!

My Uncle Jim (Aunt Stell's husband) died during the night. They found out on Tuesday or Wednesday that he had taken a turn for the worse. Instead of being in a nursing home getting physical therapy to prepare him for going home, they told them that he was in the final stages before death. Uncle Jim told them he was prepared to move on. He has been in ill health for many years now.

Please say a prayer for my Aunt Stell, cousins Debbie & Suzy and their families.

So sorry to read this Vicki. I hope his homecoming was gentle. Love to you and your family. :cloud9:  :grouphug:

Here is a list of the TS that I have made. All of these are places that we haven't tried yet, so I am unsure about any and all of them.
What do you all think?

9/27: 'Ohana (Polynesian Resort) @ 6:25pm
This will be our first night, we are hoping that this will be a good first meal!

9/28: Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom) @ 4:05pm
EST MNSSHP date.

9/29: Garden Grill (The Land - Epcot) @ 6:00pm
Leighanna loves Chip n' Dale, so we thought we would give this a try!

9/30: Coral Reef (Living Seas - Epcot) @ 11:30pm
Should I change this to dinner instead of lunch? I am just unsure about this one!

10/1: Hollywood & Vine Lunch (MGM Studios) @ 12:00pm
Leighanna loves Jo Jo and the Little Einsteins, so we knew we wanted to try it.

10/2: Chef Mickey's Dinner (Contemporary) @ 6:10pm
Looking forward to this! We ate at the Concourse Steakhouse last year, and Leighanna really wanted to go here too!

10/3: Cinderella's Gala Feast (Grand Floridian Resort) @ 6:00pm
We were wanting to try this earlier in our trip, but 1900 Park Fare is scheduled for refurbishment until the beginning of Oct. If it is not finished, they will have preplated meals at the Café instead!

Let me know what you think! Would you change anything, or any times?
I figure it will be hot, so I am thinking later dinners would be a refreshing thing to do, rather than lunch. But again, I am not sure!

:thumbsup2

I'm off to bed. It will be nice to sleep in my own bed after 4 nights in a hotel. Don't know when I'll be back on. We have lots to get done tomorrow and we're going to Chuck's parents for Easter. I'm making a cheese torte for dessert for Chuck & his brother. It is their favorite. Chuck's sister-in-law won't make it is a special treat when I make it. I'll probably make some kind of chocolate dessert for the kids (who are all over 18 now).

Elizabeth what time are you headed to your friends house?

Sorry - right after I posted the link to the pin DH came in and we left!

Anne Marie,

I am so sorry to hear about your back. Try lots of ice and heat.
Of course heavy duty drugs always helps :rotfl:

Ouch! Try to take it easy! I take 800 mg. of Motrin 3x each day when my back is messed up. The orthopedic surgeon told me to alternate ice and heat - I just can't stand the thought of ice on my back! So I use the heating pad.

Welcome to the dark side! (Just stay away from eBay.) On the open edition pins I would just call and order them. I have ordered pins from Disney Shopping before, but not from Guest Services. If the shipping charges aren't horrible I am sure that is the most efficient way to do it.

Glad you made it safely, thanks for checking in. :)
Ohh root beer floats, have one for me, please. :goodvibes

Tammi, enjoy your float!

Ok Elizabeth. I have to have this one!!! I love it. You are such an enabler.

Me? An enabler? Surely you jest!;) Hopefully they will not sell out before we get there in August. I'll be glad to pick one up for you!

You can box it up & send it my way :thumbsup2

Actually, it must not have been TOO crunchy because there is hardly any left! I am glad I made the extra cake, because there weren't nearly as many people as I thought there would be and we ate almost all of the desserts!

It looks like our weather is going to be cold and yucky, but we don't have any outdoor plans. DS is lobbying to be allowed to sleep on the living room floor. He loves to do that. DH told him no, so we'll see who wins.

I didn't get much a nap earlier because the phone kept ringing. I think I am headed to bed. Good night, DDA!!

Please do! For some reason, I really like that one.

I got the pins! Thanks so much. I absolutely love them and they are going on my keeper lanyard. I think I made out better on this deal than your DS though.

Would it hurt anyone's feelings if I were to say "we are having great weather!"? Today it's 73 degrees and tomorrow it's supposed to be 78 degrees, and Sunday will be almost 80 degrees!!! Hooray!!! Of course, it's supposed to get cold again next week.

We are expecting lows in the 20's and highs near 35 degrees  Oh and don't forget the snow that they are forcasting for the next 5 days. I told my mother that we would be having an indoor egg hunt this year. She thought it would be fun to have all the colorful eggs strewn about the lawn. I pointed out that all those plastic eggs would then need to be dried before we could put them away and she agreed to an indoor hunt :rotfl:

I finally tried on my Tinkerbell tankini.

Not bad at all. I actually liked the fit and look. It has a built in bra which felt really good.

BUT I will not be posting any pictures.

I did tell Stephanie that I would be very comfortable wearing it to the pool in October. :goodvibes

Come on skinny lady you can share any photos with us ;)

I didn't get home from work until after 10:30 tonight. I'm not complaining though as I made my weekly savings quota :cool1: It was pretty quiet most of the night, but I really monopolized on the last hour and the fact that most of the waitstaff hate taking late parties. I'm there to make money so I will take them all :goodvibes

We are taking the kids to the supermarket for an egg hunt at 8 AM, then we'll do a family breakfast somewhere before going to our Town's egg hunt. It should be a fun morning for the Brooks boys. I'll probably need a nap in the afternoon :thumbsup2

Prayers said for your Uncle Jim and for the rest of the family. I hope this doesn't cause a set-back for Aunt Stell.

Our family had the sweetest, but sad, thing happen this week. A good friend of my mom's had a younger brother that died this week. He was 25 and just messing around with some friends in the driveway. At some point he fell and hit is head hard on the driveway. Apparently that caused him to vomit and he asperated on it and died. Very sad for the family. The sweet part for us though came when my mom's friend called to talk to her as the brother was an organ donor. Cheri wanted to do what she could to get his liver donated to Brendan if she could. In the end, we told her it was best to just let it go to someone else more immediately in need as Brendan isn't even on the list yet and there are people who need it more right now. Brendan will probably be put on the list in the next year, but they haven't started the process yet. It was just so touching for us all that she was thinking of him in a time of such personal greif. The visitation is today with the funeral on Sunday if you could keep this wonderful family in your prayers.

Wow!

Howdy!!

Have any of you eaten at the following?? If so, what did you think?

Flying Fish
Big River Grille
Spoodles
ESPN Club

Kristine -- We ate at Flying Fish a couple of years ago. We had great service and we loved the food.

Well, the weather man just talked about a wintery mix tonight and off an on through the weekend. Not expecting accumulation, but it still puts a hamper on the Easter clothes/egg hunts etc.

Andrew had a game tonight, and we almost froze, even with a gas heater!

I hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

Well i ended up having a good night! my best friend from high school came over and we just talked for about 3 hours...it was so nice! I miss hanging out with her so it was a b last!!

OKAY FESS UP PEOPLE. WHO STOLE THE SUN??????:cool2: :sunny: GIVE IT BACK. I HAD TO TURN MY HEAT BACK ON!!! :sunny: please:love: :goodvibes :cloud9:

I fell asleep trying to catch up.

Anyway, Kristine, I haven't eaten at any of your choices... sorry.:guilty:

9/27: 'Ohana (Polynesian Resort) @ 6:25pm
This will be our first night, we are hoping that this will be a good first meal! Mickey proposed to me here, how bad could it be? We ate here 4 times during our 10 night trip. Including Christmas Eve.

9/28: Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom) @ 4:05pm
EST MNSSHP date. This has become a tradition. It will be our first family meal this trip.

9/29: Garden Grill (The Land - Epcot) @ 6:00pm
Leighanna loves Chip n' Dale, so we thought we would give this a try!Loved this one. Just couldn't squeeze in into a 6 night trip!

9/30: Coral Reef (Living Seas - Epcot) @ 11:30pm
Should I change this to dinner instead of lunch? I am just unsure about this one! Can't wait for this one...

10/1: Hollywood & Vine Lunch (MGM Studios) @ 12:00pm
Leighanna loves Jo Jo and the Little Einsteins, so we knew we wanted to try it.Can't wait for this one. My grandson keeps saying, do it again, do it again, when I show him this on the Disney site.

10/2: Chef Mickey's Dinner (Contemporary) @ 6:10pm
Looking forward to this! We ate at the Concourse Steakhouse last year, and Leighanna really wanted to go here too!Love Chef Mickey!!!

10/3: Cinderella's Gala Feast (Grand Floridian Resort) @ 6:00pm
We were wanting to try this earlier in our trip, but 1900 Park Fare is scheduled for refurbishment until the beginning of Oct. If it is not finished, they will have preplated meals at the Café instead!Loved the food and atmosphere. Loved it better when it wasn't Christmas dinner. We were hungry, wet and tired and waited an hour after our ADR time to be seated. But we still loved the meal. I would return in a heartbeat. Leighanna will love it. Just love it!! And the Grand Floridian Cafe is a DD and my favorite, so don't worry if it is there. I think we enjoyed lunch here a lot more than dinner. We were seated on time and the food was great.

Let me know what you think! Would you change anything, or any times?
I figure it will be hot, so I am thinking later dinners would be a refreshing thing to do, rather than lunch. But again, I am not sure!

Tom, I have tried all of these except Hollywood and Vine. I will tell you how that is next month...

I love your choices. I feel like you do about Coral Reef. It gets such mixed reviews. But the ones who love it, love it. And it's Disney!! Really, how bad can a meal be? It is on our list this trip. I have requested a diver to hold a sign wishing my son and dil Happy Anniversary. I am going to tell my family not to order the seafood pasta. I'm going to warn my family not to order the seafood pasta at any resturant. Otherwise, we're going to have a great time.:dance3:

And I'm going to be in Disney in 20 days.

20 days people. 20 days!!!!

And to all, a good night.

We are going hunting for Easter eggs early in the am, then off to see Meet The Robinsons in 3D.

I wanted to spend the day scrapbooking, but had to spend it getting contractors to get the condo ready for open house. Painters, carpet cleaners, window washers. Dust the blinds, scrub the bathroom. Fix the carpet in the closet where the dog peed! Oh he is sooooo not getting back his deposit. I've got holes in my ceiling. Stains all over my carpet. The one bedroom is really bad.  The condo should be in move in condition by Thursday PM. :dance3:

Well, I feel asleep again. I can't go on. If you have any pixie dust you can spare, please swing your wands towards my condo so it will find the buyer of its dreams. pixiedust: pixiedust: pixiedust: Thank you!!!

And yes, Terry, I am sleepwriting again.

Elin,

I am so excited for you!!!!
I can still remember my three day trips way back in 1967 and 1968 to Disneyland. Back then before the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain were built, the biggest ride was the Matterhorn and Pirates of the Carribean. And of course deciding how to use the A B C D E tickets.
And, one of the times was with my DH. :goodvibes

and that is when I was there first too, Terry. Who knows... maybe we were there at the same time. :goodvibes

Good morning, DDA!

This is what I saw when I let the dog out this morning.

There is more here now then we had at Christmas. Thank goodness it is not as much as we had on Valentine's Day!
