2 years ago DH was not feeling great about his 50th so I made us all Incredible T's (Mr, Mrs, Violet, Dash, & Jack-Jack) and ordered him an Incredible cake from the grocery store. I think he liked keeping it light & fun.

That's fun! One year for his birthday (25th, maybe?) I got a group of his friends together and we all went out for dinner then came back to our house for cake. Now one of his friends has died, the other really good friend moved to Colorado, I don't know who I would invite! He doesn't have any family other than DS & me. He isn't really friends with the other guys at work - not to the point that he would hang out with them. I will have to really ponder this! The friends we usually see are really more my friends. He doesn't mind going out with them, but I don't know that he would really want to spend his birthday with MY friends!

Chuck & I celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary in June. It doesn't seem possible that we have been together that long but then at other times it seems like forever!

I know exactly what you mean. 23 years for us this year. I had a nephew who was born the day we were married. I cannot believe he will be 23.

Tammi - Thanks so much for looking for the pirate lanyard!! There are 2 different ones on eBay that I have seen. One is black with white skulls & crossbones, and then I saw another one yesterday that is kind of maroon with a pattern crossed swords. Really anything pirate-y is perfect!

DH thought he was being funny yesterday. He said he is going to trade one of his pirate pins that was a huge pain in the tushy to get. I told him if he trades it I will hack off his hands and leave him with bloody stumps. He told DS what I said, and DS said "If you trade that pin? Yep." There will be no trading of the pirate flag pin!

That calls for a special celebration! Do you have anything in mind?

We are talking about staying at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island but don't have anything set yet. Becky graduates the week-end before so we haven't really decided yet. We'd probably be just as happy camping. Our real celebration is our October Disney trip.

Here's Kate's Walt Disney World design. I made this one for all 6 of us.

Here's a woman's Gliddan Ultra cotton T. $1.93 at Jiffyshirts.com. I ordered a bunch of T's from them last year and really like the neck on this T. Not too tight and not too bulky.

Here's a close up of the design. Not the best color saturation in the transfer but I'm pretty satisfied with it.

Kate's Just the Girls design for my friend's SIL and 3 nieces. They are leaving my friend's brother and the girls 2 brothers (who friend already brought to WDW) at home.

I really like that lanyard, but I don't want to pay $12 for one on eBay unless the parks don't have any "piratey" lanyards anymore. I think lanyards in the parks cost about $5, not $12!

The kids had such a great time outside today after a long winter and long rainy April vacation.

I love this shot of the girls. Emma was talking to Lizzy. She looks so calm and angelic.

Beth (and someone else who asked...) -- the Howard Johnsons' hotel near DL has some rooms with 2 Queen beds that you can put a rollaway into for a nightly charge of $7.

We stayed on concierge level at the Disneyland Hotel about 6 years ago and it was still a long hike to the park then. I really think this may be as close as that was.
