Jen, you can whine here if you need to, no problem. I just hope you continue to get more and more comfortable so you don't get so nervous. I'm sure it will keep getting easier. I will be interested to see if my DS is like this when he gets to his internship year for teaching.

Ive been talking to some other teachers at my school--they are all so nice! They all said that student teaching was one of the worst experiences they had and alot harder than their first year of teaching..THey say its better when its your OWN classroom, own students, own ideas, everything...i have less than 20 teaching days!

Well, you are doing great, and it will be over before you know it! And then Disney!!! I'm not jealous.

New update on Aidan:

Jeremiah 30:17 I will give you back your health and heal your wounds,” says the LORD.

How exciting it is to see your child’s face free of tubes. He just casually sucks on his feeding tube and open his eye’s to see what’s happening. He also looks much thinner and healthier now if you don’t look under the sheets. That still looks bad, but as opposed to a week ago it is quite a remarkable change. No longer is it red and enflamed, but a nice shade oh fairly healthy pink.

We got to see a few different Nurse’s and Doctor’s today, he had an ET Nurse come over from Harris and change his dressings, because the last one was leaking. While they were doing that the Infectious Disease Doctor stopped by and checked on his wound. He leaned down close and waved it towards his face and did not smell anything. I took this to be a good sign as four day’s ago he said the whole NICU could smell our child.

He gave his infection a name, but I can’t remember nor could I spell it if I could remember. What he did say is that they are attacking it and didn’t seem to be very concerned.

We also had a visit with the Doctor who worked his first night after the Surgery. This is the same Doctor who told me a week ago, “He’s going to make it” and wasn’t just being nice. She said it again today and said her reasoning was that sometimes she just has a feeling and this was one of those times. So far I like her feeling, even if we are getting lots of help from above.

To all those that lift up my Family and Son in prayer on a daily basis, I can not thank you enough; and look forward to the celebration of life when he is released.

New Pictures to follow later this evening.

Hi, hope everyone had a great day.

Glad to hear Aidan is doing better.

Ellen-Both of the outfits are adorable. Good luck on the clothes for Build a bear.

Hi everyone...Just got back from out cabin trip...here are some pics:

We spent Tuesday night in the Main lodge (Abe Martin Lodge) I felt like we had stepped back in time. Everyone was just so darn nice and hospitable.... Basically spent the day doing a few trails....horseback riding...It was Kirsten's & Christopher's first time...and amazingly Bill was brave enough to go too!! We drank coffee on the swing and watched the kids play in the field. I was shocked at how everything was already green & in bloom.

Wednesday & Thursday were spent at the cabin. Talk about beautiful!! It was extremely roomy and the kids had a blast playing in the woods. It was pretty cool to sit on the balcony & just soak in all the nature. 2 miles away was the cutest little town that had some quaint little shops (I was in my glory) Again the people were just so nice. More trails...a few of them were pretty rugged. As a matter of fact they had gotten some bad weather and at several points trees were blocking the trail & you had to climb through it all. Bill had quite the time...at one point I couldn't help but laugh at him. He was so pissed he didn't speak to us for 15 minutes!!

The last day we spent with Bill's son & family to visit the kids. We went to the Zoo for a few hours, and then back to their place. The kids are getting huge...you couldn't ask for a happier baby then Nathan. I have never seen such an easy going kid!!

Your description sounds like where I live! :lmao: Or at least where I grew up. Though Engadine was probably smaller than a quaint little town. :rotfl: Except things aren't green & in bloom yet. I loved the pictures. It looks like you all had a blast. How was the horse ride? Did everyone enjoy it? My horse died about 5 years ago. We'd had her for 10 years. I really miss riding.

How is everyone doing tonight?

I honestly cant wait til im done, just so i dont get so nervous and fraeked out every night..i know im doing better now than i was in the beginning and every day has gotten better...I keep looking on the bright side--this is only 3.5 days !! Then its spring break..

11 weeks down---4 to go!!!

ETA: What wonderful news about Alex! It really is a miracle... I am sure today was so special for everyone involved in his life!

I just got this email from a friend. I don't have time to verify it yet, but thought it might be important for others too.

All drugs containing PHENYLPROPANOLAMINE are being recalled.

To confirm these findings please take time to check the following:

http://www.fda.gov/cder/drug/infopage/ppa/

It looks like this was issued some time ago and that they have been reformulating meds since. My suggestion is to look at the current ingredients before becoming concerned. The ones that are listed could very likely have been reformulated since it looks like it was issued in 2005.

How is everyone doing tonight?

Hi Tammi! I'm doing well, just headed to bed early tonight. We go to Disney World next month! :thumbsup2

Tomorrow is Opening Day! Kyle and I will be working half days to go to the game. Opening Day in Cincinnati is seriously a holiday. I guess it's because they were the first team....? I don't know, but the whole city shuts down. We had to buy a season ticket package to secure tickets to tomorrow's game, so it better be a good one! :rotfl: We'll be taking a Metro bus from the hospitals since parking runs out (literally) by about 10 am. We hope to catch the end of the parade, then festivities on Fountain Square before walking down to the stadium. This year, UDF (a local ice cream company, among other things) is creating a new flavor that is debuting at the ballpark! I can't wait!

Then it's home to nap while watching the DVR'd Braves game, and try and stay up for the basketball game tomorrow night. Whew! I think I'm going to be as exhausted as I would be if I were PLAYING some sort of sport :rolleyes1: :rotfl:

If I don't sign on tomorrow, have a wonderful day! :goodvibes:

I go THIS month!

Sounds like a fun day tomorrow. I hope you have good weather. Good night.

Thank you all for the nice comments on the dress I made. I hope you don't mind if I post a picture of another outfit I made today, I think I'm done for awhile after this one.

Too cute. I can't wait to see pictures of her in the outfits.

Well this week-end was very productive around our house. I got the final coat of polyurethane on the front window yesterday and we got the trim up today. This was a job I put off for 12+ years because I wasn't happy with my staining job so I never did poly it. We also got the trim around the basement door which I have no idea why it never got finished. We also got the breezeway window done. I've gotten all the curtains washed. I still need to get them back up. I am also going to poly the kitchen window as it hasn't been holding up well lately.

Chuck made me a wheeled cart to go in the bottom of my pantry. The bottom area of the pantry doesn't have a shelf and it collects dust. I don't like putting anything down there. This wheels in & out so that I can store stuff so stuff doesn't actually sit on the floor. I think I am really going to like it. I got it painted white to match.

I wish you'd rub off on us. We have a ton of projects on the to do list, but never find sufficient time to start them. Congrats on getting so much done.

I checked the dimetapp site today and there was no recall then I went to the link and saw that it was old news. I'm sure that all is ok with the new products. :thumbsup2

We got our house in shape today and had a lovely family dinner or was it breakfast? Nick wanted to know why we were having breakfast at supper time :goodvibes I told him that was what Grammy wanted for her birthday and everyone enjoyed the meal. We watched most of the Disney shows today and taped the others.

I got my work schedule and am working Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week. I bet I'll get called in this weekend, but for now I'm off.

Deb

Did you not read the part about it not getting done for 12-13 years? :lmao: The last couple of months we have been on a roll and are getting lots of stuff done that we've put off for years. I think you have rubbed off on me. I hear all that you guys get done with three young boys and figure I should at least get some of this old stuff done!

We had rain and a minute of hail today. Luckily, it was small stuff. I'm glad we are getting the precipitation. Lot less chance of fires that way.

We seem to get things done in spirts around here. Unfortunately we haven't had one of those spirts since last fall. Hopefully we will get motivated again soon. We have a few tournaments in April but maybe on the off weekends we will get something done.

Did anyone watch Walt Disney Resort Behind the Scenes?
They did a little updating. They showed the suit inside the castle and showed what the Laugh Floor Comedy Club will be like, also talked about the recent Nemo additions.

Where is everyone tonight? Chuck & I are watching POTC 1. We watched a couple of the Disney shows on the Travel Channel but Chuck wanted something different so he turned on a .... Disney movie. :rotfl: I really do think he is as obsessed as I am now. He was even talking about a Disney cruise after watching the Disney Cruise special. Before he wasn't interested, he wanted to do a non-Disney cruise. Now he is talking about the 3 & 4 day split.
