Thank you all for the finger crossings and pixie dust.

I need them and I feel the love when I come to this thread.

Now I need them for me to feel better by tonight....I can't hear out of one ear it's so stuffed up and my throat hurts and Jimmy booked a beautiful room for our anniversary in Manitou Springs (where all the snow is coming down right now).

I feel like I am always whining lately....how about something not whiny....I have lost 8 lbs. because I can't eat!!:rotfl2:

We were at a 5th grade parents meeting last night (we will not go into the fact that I will have a middle schooler soon. ) when I realized we hadn't heard....I had Jim call Jane....from what he understood of what he heard...they've accepted our bid with one minor change.

Now all we have to do is wait for the loan approval!! I want to hear today so we can not only celebrate our anniversary but the fact that we will be home owners!!

:cheer2: :cheer2:

And I'm going to have not one but 2 high schoolers next year! :scared1: Thank goodness for the "baby" who isn't much of a baby either. :sad1:

We're actually heading down to Houston to visit our families, and take our dog to stay with her grandparents for the next few weeks.

Jonathan's b-day is Monday, so my mom is hosting our families for a big b-day get-together on Saturday. As things are quite tense between the rest of the family and one of my SIL's right now, it could prove to be an interesting day. Plus, the same SIL and BIL's children have very little discipline in their lives (are allowed to commonly run around like wild things), and they will be arriving at my parents' home, where my mom has near-white carpet, and all sorts of breakable things and furniture with sharp edges. Needless to say, I think Aunt Lindsay will be spending most of her time tomorrow being the "enforcer" while the parents sit on their butts and turn a deaf ear and blind eye.

I hope you can keep the peace while keeping order too. Its terrible when parents let there kids run wild at other peoples houses. Mine are angels so I wouldn't know anything about that!;) :lmao: :rolleyes1

Happy Birthday Jonathan!!!!:wizard:

that area is so pretty, Ellen, I can understand wanting to be on the Finger Lakes in the summer. After having lived in the Rochester area briefly I also understand wanting to be somewhere warmer in the winter too!

We're close to a couple of the Finger Lakes here. Maybe the DDA can get a house on a lake together.

oohhhh!! I like that idea.....but this stuff of buying a house has scared Jim stiff so I doubt I could ever con him into it. :lmao:

Elizabeth - looks like we are getting a Grand Villa so you and DS can both come. Of course, now with all the airfare and the Grand Villa and needing to stay for 2 weeks to celebrate two birthdays and all the meals that this will entail, I am now poor and cannot afford to pay my cable bill and won't be able to DIS anymore so you all won't know when we are going.

:rotfl:

Though there is a lot of truth in there, too. Whenever I look at costs that seem reasonable and then multiply them by 5, they aren't so reasonable any more!

:rotfl2:

I know that lots of you have DING! installed. Did anyone get a new DING! that has no link??

I just installed DING yesterday, and mine had a link. Nothing I can use, but there was a link.

Happy Anniversary!!!
Good luck with the loan!:wizard:

Ditto!:wizard:

Let meknow if you need some pointers!

That is terrific news, Jo! Enjoy the rest of your "sick day."

Ditto again!

Got to unplug my computer now since we still don't have it surge protected!:scared1:

Take some Airborne.
Catch a nap.
Have a great time.
Happy Anniversary.

Well I'm going to check-out the yard sales.
My community has yard sales all week-end.
Be back later.

Good luck, Linsday the Enforcer! I hope that you have a better weekend than you think you will. My nephews were like that, but remarkably, they are growing up pretty well!

Here's a hefty dose - sickies, be gone! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Happy Birthday Jonathan!!!!:wizard:

I'm sure yours are angels! ;) :thumbsup2

They really could be very good, well-behaved kids - it's not like they rebel against discipline - they just never receive any! And I just don't understand it, as my BIL (Jonathan's brother) is good with kids and always seemed like he would be such a good parent. Now that he has 3 of his own, I don't know if it's just laziness, exhaustion, fear, or all of the above. He has really changed (and not for the better) since marrying my SIL. She is one of the laziest, most self-centered people I've ever met. :sad2: But that's a whole other tangent. :rolleyes1

Let meknow if you need some pointers!

Sure - I'd love any Super Nanny tricks!

Also - anyone know some early signs of autism? My nephew (same family as the one I've been talking about) is almost 2 1/2, has little facial expressions or responses a lot of the time, isn't talking, takes forever to respond to someone who calls his name, has little motor skills, etc. (His daily existence seems to be limited to watching cartoons, running and jumping off of furniture, and screaming randomly.) Some of us in the family are beginning to suspect that there may be at the very least developmental delays, but as his parents don't work with him or seem much concerned, he's not going to be tested or put in front of professionals that would be able to spot the signs anytime soon.

Jennifer - congrats on hearing the heartbeat and seeing the baby! How exciting! I've seen some posts referring to a "him". Is that for sure or just speculation?

that is what Heidi and one other DDA person think I am having. which would be fine with us. We wont know for sure till june.

HI everyone!

just booked out very first Disney Cruise :dance3::yay:

So if any of you can answer these questions I would greatly appreciate it...

1. if you fly in the night before...what hotel do you stay at near the port?

2. has anyone used a different transportation company besides Disney to get me to that hotel the first night...and then back to Disney World after the cruise?

Just an FYI

Modern Marvels - Walt Disney World
Journey underground and backstage at the technological marvel that is Walt Disney World. Enter a make-believe world spanning some 27,000 acres, brought
to life by cutting-edge technology. What was once Florida swampland now boasts the world's largest theme park. The ride technology ranges from
space-age centrifuges to enhanced motion vehicles powered by 3,000 PSI of hydraulic pressure. And hundreds of audio animatronics brought to life
through the power of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Walt Disney World is made up of four separate theme parks, each with its own
innovations: the 107-acre Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom. The four parks are all part of a megaplex of a
resort. Twice the size of Manhattan, it was the final vision and crowning achievement of a man who spent more than 40 years pushing the limits of
technology to create entertainment magic: Walt Disney.
