Bernadette & Glynis I hope your families are feeling better :wizard:

Bernadette - I hope Joe and Emma recover without Lizzy getting sick! And I hope you feel better, too!:wizard:

Tammi - I am sorry Nicholas is getting worse! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: That he gets well in time for the trip, and that you and Alyssa stay healthy!!

I would, just in case. Or this could give you an excuse to buy a shirt while you are there!

The temps for this weekend range from 64-70. Should I even bother taking any short sleeved shirts? Maybe just one?

Sounds like your boys could use some :wizard:

How is your new mattress, back feel better?

Colby was up at 1 AM with his feet and legs bothering him. He seems fine now. Thankfully he will get his new orthodics on the 31st. Hopefully that will help with the nighttime pain.

Hunter somehow managed to drop the PS2 on his ankle last night so he has been hobbling around since then. Snowboarding starts tonight so I will have to touch base with him around lunch to see if I need to dig out all his stuff for tonight.

Nick is home sick with diarrhea, stomach ache and sore throat. I really doubt that he will feel up to snowboarding tonight although he still hopes to.

Sounds like they had alot of entries for this one.

This was on the CB from Ty

ALSO THE AUDIENCE CHALLENGE JEEVES SAID HE HAS A TON AND THEY ARE GOOD WORK THAT NEEDS TIME TO LOOK THRU SO THAT POLL WILL GO UP TOMORROW MORNING (TUESDAY)

I guess we'll all be waiting until tomorrow now :sad2:

Has anyone heard from Paula lately? I would love to know how the trip to DL was.

Ok. You all inspired me to find my wedding pictures and scan them. I'm going to post some of them, and I apologize in advance for the yellowing. I guess 17 years in a photo album will do that, huh?

Anyway, the background: Alan and I got engaged at roughly the same time my sister and her (now) ex did. She and I decided it would be neat (and save some money) if we had a double wedding. Sounds good, huh? NOT!!!! My sister became quite the dictator. We didn't realize it at the time, but her fiance was quite the abuser, and she was only marrying him because I was her younger sister, and she'd always been the first to do anything. Weird, I know, but there you are! So, technically she planned the entire thing. We also did most of the prep work ourselves since we didn't want my parents to pay too much. We made all of the refreshments for our reception (finger sandwiches, mini cheesecakes, mints, pastel M&M's). My sister designed our dresses, and she made hers and a cousin made mine. I was ok with it, not really what I wanted, and my cousin didn't put the boning in the bodice, so it sits funny on me. Oh well. So, here are my pictures:

Alan and I just married.

Bernadette.....

I love our piano that was a hand me down....it's also not that big and needs a tuning but the girls get such joy out of playing!!

Don't forget to get it tuned....after moving it it needs to be tuned.
:thumbsup2 We plan to get it tuned after moving. It's really nice...can't wait to get it. Lizzy has a real talent so it will be nice for her to have it here to use.

Well, Nicholas is now running a fever. :sad2:
:scared1: Here's lots of :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: that he'll get over this REAL quick and keep it to himself!

And now the reception: We held our reception at my dad's theater. It was brand new in 1990, and was the only place large enough for a double reception. It was supposed to run from 6:30-8:30, but there were so many people that came from all over the country that we began at 4:30 and finished up at 11:45. Talk about long!!!

My sister and me. Her bouquet was all white with silver accents. Mine was supposed to be pink and green, but my SIL thought she knew better.

OK time to get caught up from last week.....

Hi everyone! We are back home and keeping warm at last! Our power went out around 5:30 on Saturday morning and it came on sometime around 9:00 Monday night. We hit IHOP for breakfast and then took the kids to the mall for a couple of hours to play where it was warm, hoping things would be better when we got home. No such luck and more ice on the way! So, we bought a trunk load of firewood from some people near by and set up camp in the living room around the fire. It was kind of fun for a little while reading books to the kids via flashlight and snuggling around the fire. No so fun a little later when trying to sleep as the temp in the house steadily dropped.

By morning our wood supply was on it's last log and the electricity was still out and in growing numbers around the city. Sunday morning I spent 2 hours with the kids at McDonald's while Mom and Dad went to church (our potential new music minister was leading the service and it was the only chance to see him before the vote) and Chris and Kristi snuck in showers at the gym.

Luckily, for Sunday night we were able to get a bonus night at my parent's timeshare an hour away and were able to sleep in warmth. Kristi and I kept the kids there until yesterday while the others all commuted back for warmth. According to news reports we weren't expected to get out power back until later today, but were pleased to get a call from Rachel's friend who drove by our place Monday night and saw the power was back on. So yesterday, we got to come home and face the mess that 10 people can make when pretty much stuck in 2 rooms for a couple of days in the dark.

So...how was everyone else's weekend? :teeth:

Now I've got to head back to page 6300 and get caught up!
Yikes! What an ordeal. Sorry you had to go through this. Nice to hear you're all safe now!

I just have to share this with my Disney family: My husband is officially semi-Disney obsessed!!!!! He came home from work all excited to show me what he bought me. He had gotten the email from Disney shopping about their 75% sale, and free shipping on orders of $60.00. Well, he found a Mickey tow hitch cover for my van, 2 Mickey car backseat organizers for Katie and Jacob, a set of Mickey drawer pulls, 2 picture frames, and a Dash lunchbox for Jacob. I couldn't believe it!!!! Then he says, "What would you think about turning the playroom downstairs into our Disney room?" He wants to get some Disney beanbag chairs, pictures for the wall, wants to paint it up in Disney style, etc.

I think the half marathon/WDW trip really changed his heart. I'm so happy!
Yippee Skippee!!!! That is so cool!

I bought a pair for colby and a pair for Hunter. I bought their current sneaker sizes and both pairs are too big. I need to order each of them a smaller size. Nick needs the adult size and they haven't been readily available yet.

Deb
I too found the childs one were big. I bought some for Joe but didn't even have him try them on or show them to him. I'm thinking maybe they'll fit in August.

My favorite part of the reception was the cake. My cousin made it as a wedding present, and it was exactly what I wanted. It was a vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream filling. It was decorated with flowers in all spring colors and the top tier was held up by 3 champagne flutes covering 3 rosebuds. My cake topper was one my dad found of a little boy and girl playing dress up! It was perfect for Alan and me (I still have it).
