Ellen, thanks for posting the photos! Those are great!

How's the weather up your way? I'm trying to convince myself that I made the right choice to stay home.

It's around 32 degrees, a little snow but not enough to cover the grass, it was raining a little earlier, then a little sleet or snow. Not bad for driving though. Sorry.

Did you say "I am. I'm going to see the Mouse!!!"? :lmao:

Sorry Lindsay. I understand how family arguments can make you feel. Hopefully it will pass.

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

It's like someone on the boards' tag, that says "Disney World is my therapy." So true.

Jen - Glad that your grandma is breathing on her own! That's a good thing! Hopefully she can get out of ICU soon!pixiedust:

Beth - Our weather isn't as bad as they said it would be. Just rain. I've got all 3 kids tomorrow since it is MLK day. No clue what we are going to do all day! I would be off if it was icy, but DH would still have to go in, so I guess I'll take the rain and get on with it.

Ellen - What great pics! I can't wait to go to WCC.:)

Chris - I remember the Bears and the Super Bowl shuffle. I wasn't into it then, either!:rotfl2:

I am so excited. I just helped my sister set up a very quick trip to WDW for her and my one other sister :yay:
She had been so down after putting her dog down the week before Christmas and just decided to visit our sister who lives in St Pete, Fla. I know given the chance she would try to drive over even if it was a day trip. I told her a one day ticket was only $71 including tax. Then I got to looking at the dates of the Pirate and Princess party and one of them was during her stay. SOOOO I sent her an email with the title Enabler Alert and copied the information about the party and then advised she could just stay at a very inexpensive hotel and do the party that night and then get up and go to Epcot the next day.
Well she called and was able to get a night at Pop---so for $288 for the two of them, they will do the party and then the next day at Epcot. Just a few dollars more for food and they are all set. Plus they can use Disney transportation. :yay: :yay: :cool1: :dance3: ;) :cheer2: :cheer2:
I am so very excited for them. Yes I want to go down too, but I will wait to visit her in April over Easter.

That is so exciting, Terry! Sometimes it is almost as much fun to help someone plan a much needed trip as it is to do all the work for ourselves, isn't it?

After studen tteaching starts, id be glad to get enough snow for a snow day or two!

Yes, but snow days need to come on Tues-Thurs, since I don't teach on Mondays or Fridays. ;)

i can use tuesday-thursday--thatworks for me!

If we are lobbying for which day of the week can be a snow day, then I vote for Tuesday so we will all be happy. Mondays would be OK with me too, but not Beth. And please, not Wednesdays or Thursdays since those are days that I have not had as many lessons with due to the holidays this year.

Now I feel old. You were a freshman in high school, and I was getting ready to graduate from college!

1986... Chris was a freshman in HS, Beth was going ot graduate from college and Elin was pregnant with Kristin who is now 20. Beth, you are NOT old!

If you all wondering what I am doing here and not in Richmond it is because Kristin is not feeling well. She is very nauseous and having major gastrointestinal issues. We opted to wait until tomorrow morning to go back to make sure she doesn't have the nasty norovirus that is running rampant all through the USA! I told her that there is no way I would let her infect her roomies.

So, everything is packed, she is back in bed and Kathrin is on her way up to Fredericksburg to go out to dinner with Bob and me. We were all looking forward to a super dinner at a Mediterranean tapas place in Richmond called "Europa" and Kathrin was not about to give up a good meal out at our expense. ;) We will be eating at a snazzy local restaurant called Claiborne's which is located in the train station downtown. We haven't eaten there since our 30th wedding anniversary!

Tuesdays work for me!

I guess I'm heading to bed too. I just told Chris that I'm worn out. Colby is just pushing all of my buttons all day everyday then trying to juggle the older boys, housework, work and everything in between. Colby was extremely whiny tonight and he was supposed to stay at my parents with his brothers. By the time I got them all packed and over there, their ready bed blown up (by mouth not less) and them all settled in he decided that he wanted to come home. He has a cold and I know that he was overtired. My Mother thinks that he is just a Mama's Boy, but she sure didn't try to convence him to stay. He cried off and on about everything for about an hour of the hour and a half that I was there. I came home, did a load of laundry, cleaned the cat water fountain and sort bills. Chris gave Colby all of his attention for a good hour then told colby what a good boy he was. Well Duh, if I sat down with him playing, giving him 100% attention and ignoring everything that needed to be done I'm sure he would be good for me too. Apparently I'm the only one living in reality. Sorry to vent, but it is that or just breaking down crying. I have definitely over ate today too. I may need to skip weigh in on Tuesday if I don't get control very soon. Hopefully sleep will be my friend and I also hope that the runny nose that I am having is just a one day thing.

Deb

:grouphug: Kids go through phases and you can make it through this one with Colby. You are handling it right. You can't give him all your attention when there are other things that need to be done. I hope that the sleep helped.
