::yes::

I was looking at www.allrecipes.com last night for cake ideas and found a rainbow cake. Then I went looking for an icing recipe and found cool whipped frosting, that's when I decided on the jello cake. It has been so long since anyone in my family has made it.

I've made this before, Heidi. It is yummy.

Is there anyone in DDA land besides me that likes liver and onions?
My mom likes baby calf, dredge it in flour and fry in butter.
Is this how you do yours? if not please post how you cook it.

It has been forever since my mom or grandma has made any, but your way sounds like the way they cook it. I remember liking it, though could do without the onions.

Well, the Godiva coffee doesn't taste bad, but 1 cup has given me the WORST headache! I am bordering on being nauseous! I can have 3 or 4 cups of Starbucks and not feel this bad.

Anyway, I just paid some bills and did the final copy of our tax return. I missed the child tax credit the first time around, so we are actually getting back $1000 MORE than what I originally figured! This is not the first year that I have skipped over that credit, but caught it before the paperwork went in the mail. I guess we need one of those computer tax programs, but not until we get a new computer!

I told DH we should just put a little note to the IRS to route our refund directly to WDW Resorts, Orlando, FL.:rotfl2:

Here is a practical use for that little arrow in the quote. Instead of having to hit the back arrow three times after responding to someone, click the arrow after responding to someone elses post. It will return you to where you were!

That's a great idea! I noticed the arrow a while back, but hadn't thought about skipping the triple back arrow. :thumbsup2

SO we got Cassidy's first semester's grades today!! :scared1: She warned me that there was a "not so good" grade in math.....I looked and I think they heard me yell in Denver after I saw the F in that class. She is grounded indefinitely and will have to take math her senior year to get into any colleges...she compounded her predicament by swearing at me.

Her GPA is okay even with the F but I am just so disappointed and sad tonight.

Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that Theresa. Is she struggling with the material or is this the class that she just wasn't turning things in for? I hope that the next semester is a better one for her!

I live in Berks County, so that is about 30 to 40 minutes away. Sorry, don't really know of any bakeries in that area.

Heidi - I have a few friends in the Allentown area. I'll see if I can get any recommendations.

Lindsay - Your pictures are gorgeous! My groom has worked out pretty well. I really liked my dress, too. I have it hermetically sealed in a box in the top of my closet. Unless DS grows up and likes to dress in drag I have no clue what I will do with it.:confused3 My sister got married in what looked like a prom dress, but she was pregnant so she wasn't in a position to be fussy.
Good luck with the painting! We are going to take advantage of the break in the rain and (hopefully) take all of our holiday stuff to a storage unit. We want things to look spiffy for the pet sitter!;)

Mine is hermetically sealed, too! My mom's cousin actually owns some fancy drycleaners here in town, and he took it with him from the wedding to do the honors. Of course, my mother didn't inform me of this until we got back from the honeymoon - I really wanted to put it on once more before that was done. :guilty:

Taking a break from the painting! Yuck.

Lindsay, loved your wedding pictures! Very classy. Although you made a terrific looking couple then, I think you and Jonathan look even better now. :)

Oh, that is so sweet.

Thanks to you, Elizabeth, and Deb for the comments.

Lindsay - you are Jonathan are such a beautiful couple, your dress was beautiful, your wedding party beautiful, the decorations in the church..you guessed it...beautiful. I don't know what else to say. It's quite obvious how the styles have changed from the previous decade.

Thanks so much, Tammi. It's only been 8 years, so we'll see how well things stand the test of time. I do remember at the time that everyone tried to talk me out of a black and white wedding, but I'm so glad I stood my ground. I think the pictures will hopefully not look quite so dated down the road than if I'd gone with some of the other popular colors at the time. (Around that time, I also wore hunter green, butter yellow, and mauve bridesmaid dresses in friends' weddings!)

The one thing I probably would have done differently was have my bouquet be all red roses, which was my initial thought - it would have stood out more. I also wish my bridesmaids bouquets hadn't turned out as light pink as they look - it was to be all white. The flowers at the reception were all fire and ice roses.

Good Morning DDA,

Marti - it's good to see you again. :grouphug: For Matt, can the bear be stitched back together? I had a bear that I loved when I was a teenager, my mom decided to wash him as he was looking kind of rough, and he didn't survive the ordeal, needless to say I sympathize with the situation.

Lindsay - your pictures are simply gorgeous, you remind me of Princess Grace in them.

We kept our DGS last night so that his mom could go out and celebrate with her sister, poor little guy was just fine and then he told us his stomach hurt. He's been throwing up ever since.

The ice cream cake, although not a complete disaster, is, shall we say, less than perfect. I learned two things, one, the ice cream doesn't shrink like the cake does so I had to trim it down some, and freezing the cake first would definitely be a good idea, I thought it was cool enough but the ice cream started to melt and the frosting would just slide off. I've managed to salvage it, but it is not level and has a lot of frosting.
:rotfl: Oh well, live and learn

I bet the cake is yummy anyway! At least it sounds like it to me! I hope your DD enjoys her birthday. And :grouphug: for your DGS - I hope he gets better soon!

Good morning, DDA! Well, they say we are going to get some

today and tonight. Not much... just enough to get the hopes up of every teacher and child in northern Virginia.

Good morning!! Guess who is under a blizzard warning this morning???

I don't feel good and the snow!!! :sad2:

Cassidy asked last night when was she grounded til...I told her until I said so...there is no limit on a F grounding I don't think.

She's a bit disappointed because there's a Sadie Hawkins dance on Saturday...I'm not...she was going to ask a senior!!:scared1:

Thanks for all of the hugs last night/this morning.

Looks like PS2 is going to be the game system in my house.

Nick really wants to try it too. Of course chris and I are arguing over who gets to go with him. I really think that he needs him Mom there with him for such a big first. Afterall I took him on his first looping Roller Coaster.:)

I definitely think that Mom should be there for such an important step in a childs life. They need their moms for comfort! Sorry Chris!

Hi everyone...

Another cold and snowy day here in Chicago. I am jealous of all of you leaving for WDW! I tried to talk Bill into letting me go onto a quick girls DVC trip...he said, "only if I can go with" :rotfl:

I enjoyed everyone's wedding pics...beautiful brides!!!!!

Here's a few from mine...

Me, Me, Me!!!!! That's exactly how I cook mine! Sometimes I'll throw some mushrooms in, too!

Unfortunately, my family hates it, so I don't get to make it too often!
