They are SOOOOOOOO cool...I wore red socks last night so you could see the Mickeys better. I am going to go get different straps to change out...I feel so special. :goodvibes

For those who might be wondering....the mickey crocs seem to run a tad smaller than the other crocs.

I'm glad to know this. The Easter Bunny is bringing some to each of my kids to wear on our June trip to DL. Now, I just have to figure out what sizes to get for each.

Hi all!!

Just a quick pop in to say hello and show off my new ticker!!!!! :cool1:

Our December trip was great! We ditched the in-laws after the first day (excpet for the ADR's). It actually wasn't even MIL that drove me mad- it was SIL and her DH :headache: We loved AKL (got upgraded to Savannah from standard). Kyle loved the animals. It poured rain during CP on my bday- but I loved it anyway. It was 80 degrees at MVMCP but I wore my wool sweater anyway!!

Hope all is well with the gang!
Take Care!
Kristin

Good to see you, Kristin!! I'm glad that you had a good time (and that you got to ditch the in-laws as I know that wasn't working for you!). Happy planning for your next trip.

Hi everyone! We are back home and keeping warm at last! Our power went out around 5:30 on Saturday morning and it came on sometime around 9:00 Monday night. We hit IHOP for breakfast and then took the kids to the mall for a couple of hours to play where it was warm, hoping things would be better when we got home. No such luck and more ice on the way! So, we bought a trunk load of firewood from some people near by and set up camp in the living room around the fire. It was kind of fun for a little while reading books to the kids via flashlight and snuggling around the fire. No so fun a little later when trying to sleep as the temp in the house steadily dropped.

By morning our wood supply was on it's last log and the electricity was still out and in growing numbers around the city. Sunday morning I spent 2 hours with the kids at McDonald's while Mom and Dad went to church (our potential new music minister was leading the service and it was the only chance to see him before the vote) and Chris and Kristi snuck in showers at the gym.

Luckily, for Sunday night we were able to get a bonus night at my parent's timeshare an hour away and were able to sleep in warmth. Kristi and I kept the kids there until yesterday while the others all commuted back for warmth. According to news reports we weren't expected to get out power back until later today, but were pleased to get a call from Rachel's friend who drove by our place Monday night and saw the power was back on. So yesterday, we got to come home and face the mess that 10 people can make when pretty much stuck in 2 rooms for a couple of days in the dark.

So...how was everyone else's weekend? :teeth:

Now I've got to head back to page 6300 and get caught up!

Sounds like an adventure!!

Glad you were able to stay safe and relatively warm!!

124 for the CD is steep, we will be trying our hardest to get 300 pic on it, to make it worth it...also inlaws are going with us, so maybe we can get them to go in halves.... they need to make themselves useful somehow, since they are already proving to be a pain in the rump in regards to planning! (maybe that's rude)

not rude at all....plus I think halvesies is a good idea.

here is Nick's design. He hopes that you like it and is reading over my shoulder to see what you all have to say.

I really like it, nick! You did a great job!!

Anne Marie - I do believe that the morning of the 23rd (Thursday) at MGM could work!:) Are you all planning to do a TS breakfast or lunch? Maybe we could meet for that, or just meet up in the park to say hello. I want to go to Flying Fish for dinner that night, and then catch IllumiNations since that will be our last night in the parks.

Lindsay - Glad you finally got a snow day!:rotfl: The whole DISD open/closed thing is a disaster. DH said he heard on the radio that kids WILL be excused because Channel 8 said DISD was closed. I told Momboss if I had turned the TV off at that point we never would have known school was open! I hope they had enough kids show up to offset the cost of heating the buildings, running the buses, etc. Dorks.

I am never going to be able to catch up with you all, and it makes me feel like a heel that I'm never around to give personal :wizard: and :grouphug: anymore. Why didn't you warn me that I would have my hands full with two kids?!! ;) :goodvibes

Seriously though, I miss you, and once Matthew learns that sleep is a good thing, I hope to be able to post in the evening again.

As you can see from my signature, I took Alyssa and Matthew for some new professional shots. I'm trying to upload a few to Photobucket right now, and hopefully I'll have a chance to post them this weekend.

I'll try my best to be back soon! :)

I love the new pictures! Terra has those same pajamas and they are so cute!

Right now I have sci fi planned for a late lunch. Are you staying for the parade? Maybe would could meet up after lunch but before the parade? We will be there for the rest of the day to see Fantasmic but I did not book the FDP because last year it was very easy to get a seat.

Last August the parade didn't start until 5:30. What time are you all going to lunch? How late we'll be at MGM depends on whether or not DH insists on a midday nap! If DS and DH want to see Fantasmic instead of IllumiNations we could plan to meet up to watch Fantasmic. Last year it was at 9 PM and 10:30. Maybe we'll head to MGM after dinner and do the evening instead of the morning. We can keep working on it, but I will plan for some sort of meeting at MGM that day!:)

I just have to share this with my Disney family: My husband is officially semi-Disney obsessed!!!!! He came home from work all excited to show me what he bought me. He had gotten the email from Disney shopping about their 75% sale, and free shipping on orders of $60.00. Well, he found a Mickey tow hitch cover for my van, 2 Mickey car backseat organizers for Katie and Jacob, a set of Mickey drawer pulls, 2 picture frames, and a Dash lunchbox for Jacob. I couldn't believe it!!!! Then he says, "What would you think about turning the playroom downstairs into our Disney room?" He wants to get some Disney beanbag chairs, pictures for the wall, wants to paint it up in Disney style, etc.

I think the half marathon/WDW trip really changed his heart. I'm so happy!

wow, we've had power outages around here, but none that lasted that long. I'm glad that the power is back and hope that your pipes didn't freeze as that can cause a whole world of problems. good luck getting caught up here and at home.

I bought a pair for colby and a pair for Hunter. I bought their current sneaker sizes and both pairs are too big. I need to order each of them a smaller size. Nick needs the adult size and they haven't been readily available yet.

Thanks for the info. I already know what colors each kid wants, and I think I'm also going to order a couple of Jibbitz charms for each kid. I can put those into those plastic Easter eggs. Does anyone know if the Jibbitz fit in the Mickey holes like the regular ones?
