I just have to share this with my Disney family: My husband is officially semi-Disney obsessed!!!!! He came home from work all excited to show me what he bought me. He had gotten the email from Disney shopping about their 75% sale, and free shipping on orders of $60.00. Well, he found a Mickey tow hitch cover for my van, 2 Mickey car backseat organizers for Katie and Jacob, a set of Mickey drawer pulls, 2 picture frames, and a Dash lunchbox for Jacob. I couldn't believe it!!!! Then he says, "What would you think about turning the playroom downstairs into our Disney room?" He wants to get some Disney beanbag chairs, pictures for the wall, wants to paint it up in Disney style, etc.

I think the half marathon/WDW trip really changed his heart. I'm so happy!
You know, Glynis, I've been wanting to do this to our basement. It is carpeted and painted, but unfurnished. I want it to be disney themed, with pictures and knickknacks, so if you guys come up with any good ideas, pass them along.

Thanks for the info. I already know what colors each kid wants, and I think I'm also going to order a couple of Jibbitz charms for each kid. I can put those into those plastic Easter eggs. Does anyone know if the Jibbitz fit in the Mickey holes like the regular ones?

Someone shared how to make your own Jibbitz on either the budget board or family board yesterday. Your kids would love to make their own I'd bet. let me see if I can find the thread.

Deb

ETA: I found it

Did you know that they have special Disney Jibbitz now too?! :thumbsup2

Will do. Same on your end! I'm excited about it, but want to take things slowly. No sense scaring him off just as he's getting the hang of a Disney obsession!

Hunter came home from school with a belly ache. He says that it has hurt since he got up this morning. It doesn't sound like craps as he says the pain doesn't go away. So I'm wondering if he needs to go to the bathroom or if he may have pulled a muscle or something. I've given him Milk of Magnesia to see if I can get him to go poop. He doesn't want to go to the doctors so I guess it is a wait and see thing. Colby has been sleeping for over 3 hours now :scared1: He isn't going to want to go to bed tonight, but he has a horrible cold so I'm sure he needs the extra sleep.

:grouphug: and :wizard: for Hunter and Colby. Sick kids are no fun at all!

Mary has a bad cough and sniffles. She keeps telling me that "her forehead hurts." Well, I gave her cold medicine, so hopefully it will either help, or put her to sleep. The older 2 also have coughs, but they're not too bad. I'm just keeping everyone inside, out of the cold. My hands (and the kids) are raw from all the washing we are doing. I'll be glad when things warm up!

On that note, we actually made it to 29 degrees today. There's even some melting snow on my driveway! Hopefully, this trend will continue. Our news said we should be getting up to freezing by Tuesday. Is it wierd that I'm looking forward to that?

Last August the parade didn't start until 5:30. What time are you all going to lunch? How late we'll be at MGM depends on whether or not DH insists on a midday nap! If DS and DH want to see Fantasmic instead of IllumiNations we could plan to meet up to watch Fantasmic. Last year it was at 9 PM and 10:30. Maybe we'll head to MGM after dinner and do the evening instead of the morning. We can keep working on it, but I will plan for some sort of meeting at MGM that day!:)

I was hoping for 12ish, not sure..I am still debating doing the FDP in which case I'd get an earlier lunch...hmmmmm...I would have a concrete idea of where we will be when the Disney hours come out (I think 2/1?)

Ditto for me! We are making the playroom/tv room Disney themed...I could use any suggestions you may have.

I'm joining the club of kids with colds. Nicholas has had a stuffy/runny nose for 2 days now. I've been giving him Dayquil to try to ease it. I just hope it doesn't progress into a chest thing. He had croup a lot when he was younger. :wizard: that all the sick kiddos get better soon!

For anyone that has ever used southwest: What do I need to know to do online check in for my boss tomorrow morning? Is there a better section of the plane, do I need any personal info for him. I have the reservation numbers and names.

Thanks
Deb

You should only need the confirmation # and names.

ETA: If you check him in at the 24-hour mark prior to his flight, he should get "A" boarding passes. This allows him to be the first group to board the plane and choose his seat. There are also boarding groups "B" and "C".
