but SW has a ding fare for this weekend from Providence to Orlando and you could fly out Sat. Morning and back monday morning for $125.60 - both NS flights - getting you in orlando by 1:00 on Sat. - you could leave and be home early Monday

I got this email from a friend of mine, and thought it was appropriate for ALL of you!


The Women in my Circle

When I was little, I used to believe in the concept of
one best friend, and then I started to become a woman.
And then I found out that if you allow your heart to
open, God would show you the best in many friends.

One friend's best is needed when you're going through
things with your children.
Another friend's best is needed when you're going
through things with your mom.
Another when you want to shop, share, heal, hurt,
joke, or just be.

One friend will say let's pray together, another let's
cry together, another let's fight together, another
let's walk away together.

One friend will meet your spiritual need, another your
shoe fetish, another your love for movies, another
will be with you in your season of confusion, another
will be your clarifier, another will be the wind
beneath your wings.

But whatever their assignment in your life, on
whatever the occasion, on whatever the day, or however
you need them to meet you... with their gym shoes on
and hair pulled back or dressed for a presidential
ball; to hold you back from making complete fool of
yourself or to press you forward toward an
intimidating goal... those are your friends.

It may all be wrapped up in one woman, but for many
it's wrapped up in several ...
one from 7th grade, one from high school, several from
the college years, a couple from old jobs, several
from church, on some days your mother, on others your
sisters,
and on some days it's the one that you needed just for
that day or week when you needed someone with a fresh
perspective, or the one who didn't know all your
baggage,
or the one who would just listen without judging...
those are good girlfriends/best friends)!

I thank my girlfriends, those who honor intimacy,
those who hold trust, and those who hold me up when
life is just too heavy! The special bond we share is unique. Thanks for the
words we've shared. The prayers we've sent up. The
laughs, the tears, the phone calls, the emails, the
shopping, the movies, the lunches, the dinners, the
talking, talking, talking and the listening,
listening, listening....

So whether you've been there 20 minutes or 40 years, I
love you!

Thanks, Glynis. The brownies were good and they will have to do. DH actually said to go ahead if I thought I could do it for the $500. Unfortunatly, the airfares wouldn't cooperate, even the priceline route. Instead, we'll be seeing Curious George this weekend and hitting Cold Stone. Oh well. I really shouldn't complain. We are flying to St. Louis a week from tomorrow so it's not like I won't get some kind of a break (mom will watch DD if I want to go out with my sisters for a little while) plus DH will get his break too.

It's hard sometimes because Phil has anxiety issues anyway. Then, as is the case recently, it doesn't take much to push him over the edge to high stress and seemingly on the verge of a breakdown. I feel bad because I just don't know how to deal with it and too often end up making it worse.

to you all! I'm sorry the airfares didn't cooperate, but Cold Stone sounds good, too. Think of me when you're at the movie, because I will be taking my 3 year old twins on Saturday, too. Alone. DH is taking the older 2 ice fishing, so I had to come up with something to satisfy the twins.

I hope things get better for your husband. Anxiety is not a fun thing to deal with! to you all!

you ALWAYS say the sweetest things!!!

That is one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me!! I do this for purely selfish reasons though - I love making other people smile and I love posts like this!!!

Selfish is a word that no one in their right mind would ever use to describe you! I think you are probably the coolest mom in the world. Julia and Nick are going to grow up so happy and content because you do so much for them. That's the best thing anyone can do!

By the way, I showed DH what you had worked up for your chart and his eyes popped out! He LOVED it! He really wants to come up with something similar for our twins. He just kept saying, "How does she come up with these things?" He loves to look at your t-shirt designs, too. I think, if my DH ever becomes a Disney fanatic like me, it will be due largely to my involvement with the DDA. He just loves all the support I get from you all, and all the creative ideas that don't cost a whole lot of money. I think I'll stick with you all for a while longer!

I don't think you have choice in sticking around.....it sounds like you are already addicted. You need to feed your addiction daily....sometimes multiple times. Of course this is a positive addicition so you can justify it.
