J&N's mom - as I mentioned previously, in response to triple figs I think, I am an administrator at a private school for children with special needs. My office is decorated in Disney Lithos, with lots of beanie & disney babies on my desk. Instead of being sent to the principal's office for being bad, kids get to come to see Dr. Penny if they have had a really special day. With a few of the younger girls we spend time on my computer looking for Disney pages for them to color. One little girl, who tells me all the time that she is princess also, would love your reinforcement program. She loves the princesses & would much prefer your stars, to her current token program. Can I please use the princess designs that don't have any writing on them?
I can't wait to see her face when I show her these.

Thanks, Penny

I really think Disney should hire me and have the Kate Line!! ;)

I have my bags designed and have the patterns and material - now I just have to incorporate my custom features into the patterns and sew them - I hope to get something done by this weekend!!

Kate - I just have to say this, and I hope it doesn't embarrass you, but if it does, oh well. You are the MOST INCREDIBLE PERSON I have ever "met". You have 2 kids, a busy husband, a busy life, and now here you are talking about making bags, you've designed literally thousands of shirt designs, behavior charts, maternity designs, the list could go on and on, but you get my drift. I am in complete awe of all you do and through it all you manage to inspire others, and to cheer us on and "take care" of us all. I truly have never known anyone like you, and that's a pity. It's too bad there aren't more people like you (and MANY, MANY others here on the DDA), the world would be a much better place to live! If only we could bottle you and spread you around. How glad I am that I was cruising the TPAS threads and found this board. I honestly don't know what my life would be like without it, and you and everyone else here. I feel blessed to know you all!!!!!!!!

I think that I'm losing my mind. I've been sitting here for the last hour trying to figure out how I could get to WDW this weekend (yes, I know that it is Wed night) for under $500. I've figured out that it would be doable, but only if priceline would cooperate. I even have my argument worked up to pitch to DH (recent unexpected money from my grandma). Plus, I'm hoping to play off of the part earlier today where he was feeling sorry for me on another issue, plus the fact that he has been extremely overwhelmed lately and would love some time alone (I'm terrible I know  ). Now I just have to get him to wake up and be in the mood to hear my pitch.

Now, I KNOW that he will never agree, but that little part of me that is dying for a break with the Mouse is a little anxious.

Hmmm...maybe if he seems that I am desparate enough it will buy me a dinner or movie by myself. A distant second, but I'd take it right now. Unfortunately, his anxiety level is so high right now (I wish I knew why) that even that probably won't happen. Oh well, I'm off to make some brownies to try and help. (My second place indulgence to Cold Stone. :) )

I'm sending some pixie dust your way that you can get something at this point! I'm sorry your DH is so stressed out! I hate it when Alan gets that way and won't talk about it. Makes me crazy!

Enjoy those brownies! That sounds good. Maybe I'll make some for my kids later tonight!

Denise Sorry to hear your sick.
Glad to hear the kids don't have it.
Give Rees a :grouphug: & pixiedust: .

Kate I love the chart.

Sending this for everyone that needs a little something.
:sunny: :flower3: :coffee: pixiedust: party: :jumping3:

What dates are you leaning towards? I'm still swinging between Nov 30 to Dec. 6th or the 3rd to the 11th. :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

My problem is I want my sister to have an uncrowded park, but I also want to do Mousefest, and Mousefest is at the end of Pop Warner week. So I'm thinking, PW and Mousefest = crowds and this is her first trip....

I can't imagine her getting up for a park opening, so we will arrive when the masses do.... Oh the stress of it.

So, you still have the in-laws coming? Hopefully you will be in a different resort. :cheer2: I can't tell you what a blessing it is to me that my son-in-law and daughter-in-law both love me and like being around me...

My children-in-law asked for me to find out about renting a house down in Virgina Beach in early June. I dunno. I'm so glad that both tinker1bell and I are asked to share vacations with our children and grandchildren. We're cool grannies.... And we have that don't interfere stuff down to a science. :cloud9:

I am going to hope and pray that you end up with the vacation of your dreams. Please do like Marti said and build the vacation you want, and let the rest follow you. That's what I'm going to do.....

Good luck!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Can I send my MIL to you for lessons on how not to interfere and be cool, she is coming here for 3 months in summer and I have been dreading it since summer last year, if she was close enough to come for small trips it would be so much better for all concerned!!

I am going to need plenty of PD and extra prayers to get me thru those month, my SIL goes on medication when MIL goes there but I don't want to be driven to that!!!

Stopping by to say "Hello" and introduce myself. I just stumbled on to this forum the other day and I am having the BEST time looking at all the great designs!!

I am an avid crafter from around the NYC area. I have a 4yo DS and an almost 1 yo DD. We are taking her to WDW to celebrate her first birthday in a couple of months.

I have usually made shirts for our past trips, but they are nothing like the designs that you guys have been coming up with.

Great work!!!

Welcome and I'm sure you will be addicted soon!

Just home from the ENT with the kids. Nobody has Strep but me, so that's good news. Their ears look great from surgery (tubes), and they all passed the hearing test. BUT, Rees' nose is bad again with horrendous nose bleeds, tissue, swelling. So he is having surgery on Tues, Feb 28. Go in for a post-op visit and, once again, it's a Pre-Op appt for him. Poor kid never catches a break.

Off to ballet and then to the special ed school program to drop off more paperwork. Try to be back on later.

:wizard: :wizard: and :grouphug: for Rees, hope all goes well from here on out. Glad the kids don't have strep and you are feeling better.

Thanks, Glynis. The brownies were good and they will have to do. DH actually said to go ahead if I thought I could do it for the $500. Unfortunatly, the airfares wouldn't cooperate, even the priceline route. Instead, we'll be seeing Curious George this weekend and hitting Cold Stone. Oh well. I really shouldn't complain. We are flying to St. Louis a week from tomorrow so it's not like I won't get some kind of a break (mom will watch DD if I want to go out with my sisters for a little while) plus DH will get his break too.

It's hard sometimes because Phil has anxiety issues anyway. Then, as is the case recently, it doesn't take much to push him over the edge to high stress and seemingly on the verge of a breakdown. I feel bad because I just don't know how to deal with it and too often end up making it worse.

I made Julia a behavior reward chart today and thought I would share it with you guys!

She and I sat down and talked about what should go on it - we then decided it would be a princess chart and so we picked out the princesses she wanted and thought about what lesson we could learn from her:

here is what we decided on each one:

Sleeping Beauty- Go to bed nice so I can get my beauty sleep
Jasmine - Brush my teeth so I have a beautiful smile like Jasmine
Ariel - Take a bath b/c playing in water is fun
Snow white - Help clean up my books and toys like snow white helped the dwarfs
Belle - Eat dinner nice and use the good manners Belle taught Beast
Pocahontas - Be nice to Nick like she is to her animals and friends
Meg - Meg had to learn to be nice and not so sassy - Listen to Mommy and Daddy
Mulan - Be good at school so she can learn like Mulan did when she was training
Cinderella - Get dressed so she can look like Cinderella going to the ball
Minnie Mouse - Get my hair done so she can wear a pretty bow
Daisy Duck - Use my nice words b/c having a temper like Donald gets him in trouble!!

here is the chart I made:

there is a design for Princess in Training with her princesses:

Once I have the whole poster put together - if anyone wants to see I will post a picture

What a great idea, now I wish I had a little princess to do this for, DD is not into princesses but probably needs the chart after our meeting with her teachers yesterday!!!

Can anyone tell me how to change my screen name.
I would like to remove Brendita as my screen name.
To just plain Jo.
I can't figure it out.
HELP!!!!! :confused3

Enjoy you family time, movie and yummy ice-cream.

Glynis -

you ALWAYS say the sweetest things!!!

That is one of the sweetest things anyone has ever said to me!! I do this for purely selfish reasons though - I love making other people smile and I love posts like this!!! ;)

To change your screen name you would have to re-register

believe me if I could change my screen name - I would have a LONG time ago - when I registered I thought I was just getting a little Disney advice - oops!!

Hmm... I know tee shirts are usually your thing - and that must be hard to get into 'cos DIsney does that already... but have you seen any DIsney reward charts like yours? I reckon you should copyright your idea (don't you just have to post it to yourself) and then call Disney and see what they think of it... It's a long shot but they might like the concept...

Glaf to hear about the bags too - can't wait to see them :thumbsup2
