Hello all...

Just checking in...I haven't been around much and mostly likely won't be for a bit. My 91 year old father in law fell and is in the ICU. Very long story...but he isn't doing well. Very stressful, and Bill as the only child is having a hard time. We have been faced with some difficult decisions....we signed a DNR. I truly pray for a peaceful release for him...there's just no quality of life left for him. We are exhausted and functioning on only a few hours of sleep.

Hope all of you are doing well.

Kristine

I bought our adult tees here:

http://www.blankshirtstore.com/

I got the ringer tees at Old Navy - they were my favorite - I got them on clearance last year - I should have stocked up on them -I had no idea I would love them that much!!!!!

http://www.oldnavy.com/browse/product.do?cid=5962&pid=375475

Julia's shirts came from Walmart and were only $3.50 - they had matching skirt with them

those were my favorite shirts for her!!!

Kate-
THANKS! I was looking at the blankshirtstore already for some of our shirts, so glad to hear those are good.
I love the quality of old navy shirts...I do lots of embroidery on their polos and oxfords, so I would guess ts would be good too...I might have to make a stop at ours to check for blank ones.
THANKS AGAIN!
Chris

Unless she is allergic to flowers, that sounds great! Flowers, candy (the nice heart shaped box) and maybe a nice dinner? If so, he should make reservations now!!! That's so nice. I wish them well... :cloud9: :cloud9:

Yeah,, We do not want to have any one else have an allergic attack like when I tried to snuff out Steffy :confused3 :rotfl2:

I've told her that. She says she pours all her heart and soul and especially LOVE  into making an outfit for our daughter, that she doesn't know if she would feel the same if she sold them to others.

My older step-daughter had a "guy-friend" come over to pick her up for a date. She was probably 15 or 16 at the time. Of course she wasn't ready for the date so the guy sat at the kitchen table with her dad, her older brother and his friend. I am sure he felt pretty intimated. Her dad told the guy that he had a shot gun and a shovel and he wasn't afraid to use either one. Well needless to say that was there one and only date. Is my husband a "redneck" or what!!! I was sitting in the other room and couldn't believe he said it. Well of course Melissa is 26 now and yes she survived all the taunts her Dad put her thru....I thought that was funny though.

Another funny date story.......My dad always told me that when I turned 16 and could car date to be sure they guys had really nice back seats. That turned me about 3 shades of red and I explained that I would not be in the back seat. He said that was good 'cause that is where he would be sitting..... :rotfl2: I can still laugh about that one.

I'm pretty handy with a sewing machine, but I thought I'd just use some fusible web to do the fabric inserts. Do you think that would work? I could sew them, I guess, but I'm really just going for quick, easy and fun! I'm definitely going to do some tie dying. Thanks for the encouragement!
Yes, I think that will work. It only has to hold for the day. Unless you are planning on creating a new fashion trend. ;)

I was looking for pictures to make my new signature with and found this on my harddrive. I forgot I had done this. When I worked for an ad agency we had a party where the designers made computer-generated paintings illustrating famous sayings. They then printed them out, framed them, and displayed them at the party. I chose "Wednesday's Child" and did one of my daughter. I had her pose for me and told her to "look sad" which isn't easy for her. She's always so upbeat. :teeth: Anyway, here it is:

That is soooo cute!! Your wife must be a great seamstress. From what I can see, I like how you have Leighanna's room decorated, too.

I love that! You have a very talented wife! Take lots of photos of that beautiful daughter of yours at Disney and then share them with us.

I hope your trip is even more magical than you can imagine!

that is one of the cutest things I've ever seen! Does she work from a pattern, or from her own designs? If it's a pattern, I'd love the pattern number. My twins would love that!

Midnite--I'm not sure that I have ever seen your photo before. You are beautiful! And all of your kids are absolutely adorable. You did a great job on that "Wednesday's Child" photo, too.

Me? Start a fashion trend? Surely you jest! If you saw what I wear on a regular basis, you would definitely be :rotfl2: . I'm the least fashionable person I know. Of course, now that I'm losing all the weight that might change. When you are Pooh shaped it's just easier to wear a really baggy T and loose fitting pants. I'm not sure what to do with the curves that are emerging, now. :confused3

For you folks that have been to Disneyland - it looks alot smaller than Magic Kingdom. Is it? Or is that just an opitcal illusion?

Definitely smaller, Tammi!

Very true! I had almost forgotten about that! I thought we were headed to Amy's house to "help out" when we were done in DC :confused3
