So how much more do you have to do?

are you all packed? are your shirts all done - oh yea - I forgot you bought them and made them a long time ago didn't you - I was up making 10 shirts the night before I left - thanks to Princess Nancy's last minute decision to join us and my refusal to let her kids feel left out!!!

what about your autograph pages? did you make cards for her pillow each night - do you have a binder? or a guidebook? or are you winging it?

Oh - I am so jealous!!

Darn it - I should have booked that ding fare!!
Kate - I think you and I should go into Disney business. I can do the planning and you can do the designing/wardrobe.

Ok, I'm caught up now. I guess I missed a good posting party last night.

For you folks that have been to Disneyland - it looks alot smaller than Magic Kingdom. Is it? Or is that just an opitcal illusion?

Disneyland is the original Magic Kingdom! :sunny: Now that there's a second park, they do refer to it as the Disneyland Resort, but most people will forever call the Magic Kingdom "Disneyland."

Yes, it is smaller, but there's a lot packed in there...so many original features that just can't compare to WDW's MK. There are also several unique rides that WDW never recreated like the Matterhorn, Alice, Casey...

We've been twice...it is a "must do" for every Disney fan!

 the prices???? I reckon I can get 6 curly wurlys for £2 - about $3.50 depending on the exhange rate and they're almost 6 bucks on that site excluding p&p

I'm going to send a parcel to Marti at the end of this week so I'll be able to price up postage and packagin from my end then maybe I should go turkish delight shopping here... I do after all live in Bristol - home of the Frys Turkish Delight {I just had my wedding party at the social club at the Cadbury chocolate factory and it's called the Fry's club after the choc brand :)}
I would be in SO much trouble if I lived that close to the Cadbury factory!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Cadbury cream eggs - they really should sell those all year long!!!

Glynis - My friend and I went to a fancy dress party last year dressed as Justin from the Darkness (english rock band). We took some jeans and cut them up the side with scissors and then added some fabric to make them into bellbottoms (shh we stapled the fabric on as we only needed them for one night and neither of us could sew!) We actually cut them all the way up to the thigh and then we made some tassles with some leather cord and threaded on beads and a feather on the end and then attached these to the jeans with safety pins at intevals - holding the sides together in the process. I wish I had a photo as they looked cool, and very 70s!

Do you guys not have fancy dress (costume party) shops? We have quite a few over here and they all sell afros and other funky wigs.
Every time you say fancy dress - I thnk you mean a Formal party and then I remember you speak English ;)

I think the jeans are a great idea

I had a 70's party when I was in college and would you believe I found a polyester jumpsuit - similar to this -

it was turquoise and a halter top -

and platform shoes are a must!!

WTG Denise - I think the Queen should inaugurate you as Mission Commander of the DDA Stealth brigade - to head up everyone who gets those milestones by accident... sorry I mean by carefully planned secret mission :rolleyes1:
It is getting a little hard to believe that Denise just "accidentally" gets all these posts!!!

Oh No.....another contender for Nick's attention. Kate you are going to have this poor boy overwhelmed with girls :rotfl:

Lynn
Every boy should have such troubles!! ;)

Kate-

I love your pics...can I ask you one more question? Where do you get your blank shirts? I really like the ringeron your son and saw your daughter in one w/lettuce edge sleeves....they look great!

I have 8 people to do shirts for (in 4 parks, yikes). The teens and adults will be in big sizes while the short ones in kid sizes.

THANKS
Chris

I don't get them for a while, and then I'll wake up with 45 new messages in my mailbox!

Beth
That is why I don't get email notices - my box would be FULL!!!!!!!!!!

I think if you are logged on you get the notices every time there is a new reply - when you are logged off - you only get them once you have logged on

Since the server has been so busy and slow - he is probably having trouble keeping track of us!! ;) Maybe he will get his act together soon!!

Tie dye shirts aren't tricky at all, especially if you aren't trying to sew a particular design. My kids do them. I recommend a tie dye kit that will have everything you need right in it. The one that I bought the first time I tried tie dying has great directions, too. It was by Jacquard and looks like this:

If you go to the michaels.com website and search on tie dye, you'll get some project ideas, too.

Beth
Hey Glybis -if you tye dye

after you can make a Disney shirt out of it - remember when Brendita ironed on a dark transger on a shirt she had tye dyed - I thought it looked great adn you could wear it again!!

Hey!!

Nick has other options too you know - Tammi's Alyssa is adorable and Nick might like an older woman!!! :teeth:

If you're still looking for candidates for Nick, I could offer up a couple of twins. Of course, he wouldn't have to marry both of them, but he'd have to be willing to have the other one come visit very often, as they're quite attached to each other.

As for Alyssa, if she's into older men, my 6 year old Jacob is quite a handsome guy! One of these days I'll post pics for you all to see!

That sounds like a great idea!

I was thinking of using some points at HHI for a few days, but was worried about the weather and it being warm enough to swim.
Problem down south is the pools are all outside!!

Ours are all indoors so you KNOW you could swim!!
