Are you kidding me?????
I live in a little small town where you cannot spit without hitting aChick-fil-a and Marti and Skunka eat there on vacation!?!?!?!?!?!?! :confused3

My rule is when we are out of town we cannot eat anywhere that has a location in Florence!!! (except if we are on the road, then Wendy's is ok!!)

:lmao:

See Nancy --- according to their website -- there isn't a Chick Fil-A within 1,000 miles of us! We've never eaten there and heard DDAers rave about it - so we wanted to give it a shot.

BTW, Paul has the same rule -- if you can get it at home, why order it on vacation????

You are all going to laugh at me (what else is new??) but my stomach was so messed up from traveling (always does get "funny") that Paul had it and I took just one bite. Paul loved it so much that he went back for a second! I did try the fries and I thought they were very good. I just wish my stomach was feeling better because I really wanted one!! But they only had a pickle on it -- can you get lettuce and tomato??

Working on a quick trip report -- just a forewarning, it involves lots of Dole Whips (and you wonder why my stomach was nuts???)

No Kiddin Marti, they charge an arm and leg and all you get is a Stinkin' Pickle!! Can y'all tell that I am chick-fil-aed out????

*Warning* this is going to be long.
This is not the time or the way that I wanted to announce...but...I'm almost 9 weeks pregnant :) . Unfortunately, this pregnancy is not going as smoothly as my first. I'm miserable and hoping someone here has some answers.
...
So...everything is out there now. Can anyone say anything that will make me feel better?

How about techniques for relaxing?

Any home remedies for stuffy nose/headaches/insomnia???

I'm sorry to be such a downer. I just feel awful!

Congratulations, Dawn! That is wonderful news. With just one here I don't have the 2nd pregnancy experience myself, but from hearing from friends what you are feeling sounds normal. Going from one to two kids is a big change and it's bound to bring some doubts. I think too that Christopher will be fine with the baby and Kindergarten all at the same time. Unless there is a single preschool that feeds into the school, I'll bet that a lot of the kids will be without friends from the start. It will be a great opportunity for him to do something special without the baby and to make some new friends.

I hope that you are feeling better soon!

In reality, it is good chicken. It is excellent choice over the usual fast food crap! So I think you made a wise choice at the airport! Now if you drove there in Orlando, I'd have to question your judgement!!! :thumbsup2

Blasphemy!!!! :rotfl2:

And, I pick that pickle off...I like the pickle taste, but not the pickle itself. That sandwich is perfect with just a little mayo!!!

Can you tell, I'M STARVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Amy :)

I am off to catch a few of the Thurs. Night TV. I tivo'ed it all and now can watch at the speed of light!!! :goodvibes

Good Night! Looking forward to your real trip report Marti!!!

Space helmets turned out great. I took pictures, but won't be able to post until tomorrow. Since I broke the wireless card, I have to be on DH's computer, and I can't load the pics onto his work laptop. Kids and I are going to BestBuy after school to get a new one, so I'll upload them then. Thanks for the tips and website link. They look really cute!

Kate, hope you and Mr. Kate are feeling better tonight. Stomach flu is no fun at all. Sending you get well vibes.

And also sending them to Tinknme!!!!

YUM! That's exactly how I like it too. Chick-Fil-A was part of our Christmas Eve dinner for years. My sister worked there through high school and college and would always bring home a tray of food to add to our Christmas Eve buffet of hor'dorves (bad spelling, I know, but I'm too lazy to go look it up).

Chick-Fil-A

And when I'm feeling under the weather like I have been the last week, I love to get their chicken noodle soup -- it's really yummy, too!

Thanks everyone :)

I would like to be more personal in my reponses, but with this crazy server I'm afraid to type too much for fear I might lose it. When it is "fixed", I'll respond individually.

Thanks again!

Here's a quick run down of our trip -- not a formal report, but just a little "glimpse":

Sunday - Grandad arrives at the airport, and we leave! A successful drop off and we're on our way. We arrive to 80+ temperatures. It was so warm in Atlanta's airport that I actually changed my shirt while in my seat on the plane (once a girl scout, always a girl scout). We were supposed to have a two hour layover in Atlanta, but due to bad weather in Atlanta we waiting in New York instead. So we made it to Atlanta in time to race like crazy for our plane to Orlando. I hate the stress of connecting!!! We arrived, checked in and heading to Kona Cafe in the Poly for dinner. Great dinner of Almond Coconut crusted chicken and then made it for Wishes at MK and EMH. Where were all the people??????? There was literally NOBODY there. We walked directly on to each and every ride. There was nobody on Space Mt., Big Thunder Mt or Splash Mt. There was a posted 10 minutes on Big Thunder, but we walked in, rode and walked off in under 10 minutes total. The good thing about off season is definitely the level of crowds. It was actually almost depressing - we really enjoy people watching. All of FantasyLand looked like a ghost town. It was truly weird!

Monday - more 80+ temps. We hit the two outlets for some shopping fun and then Olive Garden for one of the longest and most leisurely lunches we have ever had. What a concept! Not rushing through the meal was one of the benefits of traveling without a little man. There goes Paul's rule of eating at places that we don't have in Rochester :teeth: . But since that is what I was in the mood for, he obliged. We then headed to AK for a look at Expedition Everest, the new coaster ride. We asked at the front gate about getting on because we are DVC and AP holders - their previews started Thursday and we were due to leave on Wednesday. Unfortunately nobody took pity on us and it didn't look good. So Paul suggested heading back there anyway - just to see what's going on. We head back there and the area is closed to all but Cast Members. We explained about my birthday, AP, DVC yada yada yada. The kid was nice, but no go. Thankfully a sweet woman was listening and her husband was a cast member. I can't say much more (don't want anybody to get in trouble) but trust me when I tell you that the experience was just AMAZING! Very cool ride. We ended up riding it 3 different times and each experience was so cool. I don't want to give away too much - other people can do that for you - but it is worth riding. I don't think we'll ride it for at least a year because I can promise you that the line will be extremely long.

We then ran over to MGM and had a great time - and then ran to dinner at Kona again! Hey - when its good, its good!! We had our second Dole Whip of the trip as our dessert. They sure are addicting!! Watched Wishes again (we never get tired of it) then finally headed home. We were exhausted and had only been there one full day!!

Tuesday and Wednesday coming soon....

For those of you who have gone to Disney in October, have you used the EMH? If you have, would you recommend them? Are they very crowded?

We used them at MGM and it was very crowded and not a lot open that our DD7 & 4 liked. We used it at Animal Kingdom & loved every minute. We rode Kali river rapid over & over. Sometimes we did not even have to get off & back on.
