A few quick prayer requests please. Brantley-Kate has been sick since Sat pm with a 103 fever. Today she got a rash, and we figured out she has Fifths Disease. She still has the fever tonight, so she's missing school again tomorrow.

Just got off the phone with my MIL. My DH's grandmother is in the ICU with kidney failure. She has Alzheimer's and lives on an Alzheimer's unit. Well a nasty stomach bug went around the unit, and she got really dehydrated and it shut down her only working kidney (she has a history of kidney disease). They are doing surgery tomorrow, and my MIL is not sure if this is the end or not.

Finally, here in GA they have denied 65% of children enrolled in the medically necessary Medicaid for disabled children. Rees is being denied, and we will have to go to court to fight it. DH and I have no idea how we will make it without this extra insurance (we have incredible primary insurance but Rees' medical bills go into the 100's of thousands each year and the medicaid picks up what our primary doesn't). I may be doing a segment on our family in the Atlanta paper or TV. I will let you know.

So please keep us in your prayers. This week is really tough.

Yikes! When it rains it pours, doesn't it? We'll be keeping your whole family in our prayers! Definitely do keep us posted. :wizard: :grouphug:

Before I catch up on the rest, let me just say that this is

And to think..... at least 500 or so, are from OTHER forums! :rotfl:

You guys are awesome :grouphug:

Now, back to your regularly schedule programming....

Hi Denise :wave2:

How many Wendy's cups did you get?? I send in last week enough for one round trip ticket. Come to find out the dates we are flying into Miami for our cruise and the date we are flying out are both blacked out. Oh well........our nephew is graduating from high school in June so my DH may use it then to fly in and out of Chicago.

Lynn

I was never able to find a stinkin' Wendys around here with the promotion?! :confused3

That's great that it worked out! Even airtrans ultra-cheap fares are better when they're free! :goodvibes

I wanted to stop in quickly and say thanks to those who helped me find the 7th birthday designs.

Of course, DD said they were too girly and I had to work on my first design.

So thanks to Kate, I was able to take her basic design and add 3 words. Of course, without all of her really cool fonts, it's not as good as it could be, but for a first try, it'll do.

Here is the front of my DD(almost7)'s birthday shirt:

She also wanted Midnite's birthday badge on the back - so here is the back:

She is thrilled, and I guess that is all that matters.

It looks great! :goodvibes

I just got off the phone with our local advocacy group. They've asked us to be on a PBS show called Legislators. Of course, I said yes. Keep thinking positive thoughts that we are chosen so I can showcase Rees and his issues.
You go girl. :woohoo:

I had surgery on my finger this afternoon..it went ok. Depending how things progress...I may have to have another in the near future. Doesn't feel too bad, the compresion bandage is the worst part. Thanks for all the kind words!!

Happy Birthday Amy & Marti!!

Denise, sending good thoughts your way...it's amazing how costly medical expenses can be. Let's hope the tv/newspaper will make a difference for you!!!

I can't find the thread I once came across the "20 DVD Set" recommended on Ebay to reply to but I'm sure I found it on the DisB. After learning about this set, the seller stopped selling. Last week I found it listed under "disneydomain" member id. The DVDs were $40, a bit steep but they have been trading since 1999 and the cost was $2 per disk - not bad. The rave reviews in the FB profile didn't do justice! My family and I received our disks Friday and just completed our marathon Disney adventure! WOW! The DVD's are awesome. Whoever posted, THANK YOU!!!

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! Is that a local show or is it national?

Ok, our Queen! Find me ATL to MCO for 12/15 to 12/22 that doesn't break the bank. Cheapest I've found is close to $300 pp. No way! We'll drive. (Fun... three 5 year olds in a car for 8 hours...)
That's okay try 19 hours in a car with a 3 year old that is what we are looking at. Airfare 11/27 - 12/4 is over $360 a person.

It would be 26.5 hours for us one way. We'll fly or we won't go. My DH isn't one for long drives.

Denise,

Let me know when your taping will air. I would love to watch it. Anything I can do here in Gwinnett County let me know.

Lynn

OK- DHhas forbid me from checking anymore airfare today! :surfweb:
American is back to 197 pp (including taxes) for Sunday 12/3 to Sun 12/10. Yes its Pop week, but if we stay at POFQ shouldn't affect us. And that is the Sunday to Sunday he wants....

I bet I dream about this tonight :rotfl:
