You gave me a good, hearty laugh this morning. :rotfl: :rotfl: I guess it did sound funny if you didn't realize that goldfish was plural. What I meant to say is that a new goldfish was added to our existing 4 goldfish and they started breeding. No turtle involved! :rotfl: :rotfl: Thanks again for the good laugh. They say that is important for good health.

Wow! I was amazed at your airfares is all - we're over 4000 miles away and are looking at flights in November at about $590 each. I thought domestic flights for you guys would be much cheaper.

Am I the only one missing the smilies here?? Everyone's mesages are made up of blanks - I feel like I'm back in an English comprehension lesson!

Tinknme,
Welcome back! Looking forward to your trip report.:earsboy:

Glynis,

The smilies are working for me now. However, this morning (for the second time since joining the DIS, I double-clicked on the guy rolling on the floor and I was sent to a porn site). :scared1:  :earseek: When I came back to the smilies, they weren't displaying properly in the list. Not sure if I have a virus or worm, but I've checked and nothing was found! They look fine again now.

Look at you, Elin. You are going to be a designer before you know it!

I wish I could claim it, Tammi... but I took it from an online card that I can send on AOL.

Marti, I love this! The first time my sons saw the green Army men, they were parking cars inthe lot! It was so funny, they ordered everyone around like we were in the Army..."Move it, Move it, Move it"!!!

Use to be a lutheran, joined to take communion with wife. Pulled her away and into a church that wasn't dead though. They weren't very supportive when we lost our son and couldn't give us any answers on his salvation.

The joy of having a stillborn child that couldn't get baptized. We know where he is and that Mya has her own personal Big Brother Angel.

We now go to a Non-Denominational and love it.

:grouphug: I get so angry when the church does things to alienate people. I do not understand why we don't always welcome people and console people with open arms! Mac, I am glad you found a more supportive church!

I am Catholic and believe me, that a been a stuggle for quite a few years now!

My sister in PA just called to tell me that our Mom was taken to the hospital late tonight. She is completely unresponsive but the last report was that her vital signs are OK. Not sure what the heck that means. She is 85 years old and not in the best of health. We had to move her from Assisted Care to a nursing home in August and she has not been doing well lately.

I have not seen my Mom since the fall and was planning to go up next weekend. So I am feeling badly now. It is so very hard to live 6 hours away from those you love and have your own family and life that has to be maintained. Anyway... please keep us in your thoughts. Thanks, friends.

Elin, sending :grouphug:

I just received word that SIL is out of surgery, but still unconscious and in recovery. The tumor was mostly on the surface, and they were able to remove it without any problems with speech (we knew that it was sitting on a speech center and SIL had to be partially alert during surgery so that they could make sure speech was still ok). The doctor warned that this type of tumor could reapper in 10-15 years but was very upbeat about how everything went today!!!

Thank you all for your kind words and concern.

Beth

Beth, I am a few days behind. I was so happy to see this post! Hope all is still good! :grouphug:

"They've walked through the 1st, 2nd and 3rd seed teams on the road"....

Not too shabby.

Elin and Tammi, are your households celebrating?! I rather enjoyed that game after last week's heart-pounding finish!

Hope everyone's having a good afternoon! Back to studying.... since I didn't do a whole lot of that the last few hours

Edited, because houses can't very well celebrate.
