I just set in a chair and wrapped at a table and it wasn't too bad on my back. I'm glad to have that project done. Now I just need to make a list of the odds and ends that I need to pick up. I also got outside and uprighted a bunch of our decorations that the winds had knocked over. It has been very windy here so I'm glad that only a few were knocked down. I also cleaned a bunch of papers off the fridge and low and behold there was a Parent letter there on the requirements for Hunter's project. Now mind you I never saw this letter as Chris did the Friday folder that week and the letter was under some other stuff. The short of it is that Hunter's project had size limitations that I did not know about. Chris had read the letter and Hunter had been told in class about the size restrictions, but they both "forgot". :furious : I called his teacher tonight and explained that I did not know about the size restrictions and she matter of factly said "Oh, I wondered why Hunter didn't follow the directions". Did she mention it to him, no. She was going to take points off his grade for not following directions. I can understand that to some point, but the restrictions were in the Parents letter and not listed on the Students letter. If I hadn't found the letter today he wouldn't have had the opportunity to make changes and save his grade. I think this is a little much for a 3rd grader. He also wrote the letter today and typed it up himself. Of course the letter is based on the project the way it is so he will have to change his letter too. So I'm making Chris drive the boys to school tomorrow so that he can pick up the project and bring it home. Hunter can make changes tomorrow night and we'll get it back to school on Wednesday night. It is better that I not see that teacher until I cool off. Hunter has put numerous hours into his project unlike most of the class and he actually wanted it to look good. Now I have no idea how it will look as he will be losing most everything outside of the house, possibly even the garage.
Venting over. Thanks for listening.

I'm hoping to lose a lot of lawn and not too much else, but that may be wishful thinking.

Do those prices include the tip, or is that just what your bill came to?jackskellingtonsgirl said:Jennifer -

Becky is correct. But the thing is, you can still add a salad or a veggie and it isn't THAT expensive. All of the kids' meals come with some sort of veggie or salad. The one meal that stands out in my head that had no veggies was Kona. I had the shrimp & scallops with sticky rice, and it didn't come with anything else, but I couldn't even finish that. DH had the prime rib and he ordered a Ceasar salad to start that was HUGE. He could have shared the salad and still had plenty of food. At Le Cellier I ordered a side of asparagus that I could have shared - I didn't finish it. DH ordered side of mashed potatoes at Le Cellier that came in a BIG bowl. Each veggie was $3, but neither of us ordered an appetizer or a dessert. So even adding $6 worth of veggies wasn't nearly the same as adding 2 $10 appetizers and 2 $7 desserts. Our "savings" on the DDP can be entirely wiped out by subtracting off the cost of dessert with lunch and some appetizers and desserts at our TS meals. We never saved more than $300 with DDP, and that was on a 9 night trip. Our bill at Le Cellier (tax and tip included) was $65, Plaza (lunch) was $36, 50's Prime Time was $50, Kona was $67, and Crystal Palace was $89 because DS is an adult. Breakfast for all 3 of us at the Pop food court was never more than $20. The only way we would have come out better with DDP was if we ate a bunch of buffets. Since DS ate from the kids' menu at all of the TS places we did fine with DDE. We bought as many snacks as we wanted - drinks, popcorn, ice cream, Rice Cream at Norway. We really would have run out of DDP credits, so I was glad we did the whole thing OOP.
