I just recieved this and thought I would share it.

"Gold Wrapping Paper"

I received this from a friend who had a choice to make. It said that I had a choice to make too.

I've chosen. Now it's your turn to choose.

The story goes that some time ago a mother punished her five year old daughter for wasting a roll of expensive gold wrapping paper. Money was tight and she became even more upset when the child used the gold paper to decorate a box to put under the Christmas tree.

Nevertheless, the little girl brought the gift box to her mother the next morning and then said,
"This is for you, Momma."

The mother was embarrassed by her earlier over reaction, but her anger flared again when she opened
the box and found it was empty. She spoke to her daughter in a harsh manner.

"Don't you know, young lady, when you give someone a present there's supposed to be something
inside the package?"

She had tears in her eyes and said, "Oh, Momma, it's not empty! I blew kisses into it until it was full."

The mother was crushed. She fell on her knees and put her arms around her little girl, and she begged her forgiveness for her thoughtless anger.

An accident took the life of the child only a short time later, and it is told that the mother kept that gold
box by her bed for all the years of her life.

Whenever she was discouraged or
faced difficult problems she would open the box
and take out an imaginary kiss and remember the love of the child who had put it there.

In a very real sense, each of us, as human beings, have been given a Golden box filled with unconditional love
and kisses from our children, family, friends
and GOD. There is no more precious
possession anyone could hold.

You now have two choices:
1. Pass this on to your friends, or
2. Delete it and act like it didn't touch your heart.

As you can see, I took choice No. 1.
Friends are like angels who lift us to our feet,
when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly.

If you receive this more than once in return just know that your friends have also thought of you .

Here is my last picture of the night. After posting this one, I'm off to bed. I have to get up to take Becky to a dr. appt. in Marquette tomorrow. We have to leave by 5:15 for her to make the appt.

Vicki & Elizabeth at the MVMCP. That was the only day that was chilly while I was there. Friday-Sunday was in the 80's, Monday was in the 60's with a chilly wind and it warmed back up on Tuesday before we left. It may have been in the 60's still on Tuesday but the wind had died down.

Great Picture. Now we all know what Elizabeth looks like. No more guessing.

Thanks for posting the pictures. I was at work or I would have posted earlier. Now maybe I'll have Disney Dreams like Chuck does :rotfl: :rotfl:

Tammi posted yesterday that her son has a longer Christmas Break next year so now I'm wondering what ours will be. We are planning a short fall/winter trip so early January might just be the ticket. I haven't seen the decorations since 2001. I think it might be time to see them again.

We are getting a bit of a snowstorm here. I don't think that we even have an inch, but people clearly aren't ready. Driving home was fine for me, but there were a lot of white knuckled drivers going about 5 miles per hour. The probably haven't put there snow tires on yet. I have studded snow tires and 4 wheel drive so I didn't slip at all. We don't have enough to cover the ground yet so it isn't too pretty. At least we got a little snow to make it seem more like Christmas.

I guess that I should head to bed soon too. Talk with you all tomorrow.

Live from OKW.....

Well, it is almost midnight and I have to leave on Friday....

I just logged on to get my boarding pass. I should have just gone to the front desk and asked them to, but I wanted to be in my room by 9:30 to enjoy the fireworks and just relax.

This has been a magical vacation. I probably won't be back online until Sunday.

One of the biggest highlights of the trip was the wedding and meeting the ladies of the DDA and their families. That was truly magical and meant alot to Kevin too. :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

Well... I've got to finish up this bottle of wine. Kevin's already asleep, so she can't help me...

Talk to you all on Sunday....
