The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 18

Hi everyone - I wanted to stop by and say thank you for all of the beautiful Christmas cards and post cards and photos that have been flooding my letter box recently.

Paula your gifts were too cool - I love the lip balm with your saying on it and think of you every time I use it

Vicki - thank you so much for the bookmarks - I was so touched when I read the little note about how they were June's inspirational quotes - I will use them and think of the DDA.

I'm sorry I haven't been around much recently - there's no big news with me - just life catching up! I'm busy with assignments for my masters course and things for work. I'm trying to get my photos sorted from my trip - oh and of course I'd love to finish the trip report!

And then there's Christmas! My family is decending upon us tomorrow for our Christmas day so I've been busy baking cookies (not a patch on Amy's) and fairy cakes (fresh from the oven as I type). Hopefully we'll have a good time. Then we're off to DH's parent's house for Christmas day itself - they've finally accepted an offer on their house so touch wood it will all go through smoothly - but it means this is their last family Christmas in a house they've lived in for about 25 years. DBIL is missing it as he's spending the day with his new girlfriend - so we're going as a family and taking the cats!

I am really going to go into withdrawl with no DIS boards this weekend. Guess I will have to talk to DH

Need to know when the Disney Parade will be on so I can see my main man Emmett Smith dance.

The day after Christmas until that Friday DH and I will be visiting our friends in WV so everyone try to keep the posting frenzy down

I know Kelli does and I have it as well. just thinking of ways for us to chat. I am home tomorrow but need to do some baking. So I will be off and on.. I think I will just make chocolate chip cookies as I need cookies for santa. I work sat and sun. Jeff's dad will come in sometime sun. afternoon. He will be in town till tue. some time.

When my wife picked Leighanna up from school yesterday, they had notes posted on everyone's cubby reminding them of the party and gift exchange. Along with a note to not forget treats to put in each child's stocking. I don't know who wrote the note, but they misspelled stocking three times on the note. They spelled it "stalking". I would think that with all the teachers and aides there, that they would have caught it before xeroxing 100 of these notes and posting them on everyone's cubby.

now that is pretty bad!

It's official. The boys first day of vacation is today,so I don't have to get them up, ready, and off to school, and the first thing I think of is checking the board and saying good morning. So good morning all, I'm off to work. Tell Deb I said hi.

So it looks like Elizabeth and I will be making phone calls to give you all a DDA fix. Theresa is up for one, anyone else? I enjoy talking to everyone when I get the chance, but I don't want to intrude on anyone's RL. I won't start calling until 9 PM tonight. Chris will be with me for the next 11 days so I'm sure that he would actually like to "talk" to some of you too. It seems strange having Chris so involved in this aspect of my life, but it is a nice strange.
