Just a heads up everyone. The boards will be down as of 5pm Friday.

Over the holiday weekend we will be upgrading the boards to the latest version of the VBulletin software. This upgrade will involve major downtime for the boards. I will be bringing them down around 5pm on Friday and it will take 24 to 48 hours to upgrade them.
The new VBulletin has a host of exciting new features, this should really make the boards a better place for all of us.
Alex

What will we do :confused3

Hi, Kate! Long time, no see! How are you?

Merry Christmas.

Hi Glynis,

Doing well here! Spent all day trying to finish up some Christmas shopping and still not done. (Sister in law sent duplicates of stuff I already had bought bummer!) Other than that I've been recuperating from our Disney trip (which was fabulous) and I'm looking forward to not being at work until January. That sounds so nice, yet is only a little over a week away -- hard to believe!

becky not knowing the love boat sign is a clear case of you rubbing how you are in our faces - have you never seen teh love boat?

I am thinking we might have to have a party to watch it with you -

I am pretty sure that most of us at one point or another wanted to be Julie

I did not say it to rub it in your faces, :lmao: I have heard of the Love Boat, I think I might have seen bits and pieces on reruns, as according to my reasearch it went off the air when I was 4 years old. After finding a wav file of the theme song I think I might have heard it before but am not sure :rolleyes1 lets say it is not something that screams at me that I recall it from before.

Hi Kate

I wanted to tell you that we switched Nick to Thursday night soccer - Tuesday was too hard for us to make -

We will have to catch each other somewhere else!

Kate

Hi Kate,

I was wondering why I hadn't seen Nick and Steve at soccer! Bummer! Well, if you're ever in the area- you know where I am! (at least on Tuesdays at 6) :)

Yup....and from what I understand she got the least amount in that area....they got up to four feet up that way.

We have drifts of about 4ft....and our driveway is a nearly 90 degree slope. It took Jim and Grandpa about 2 hours to get the walks cleared with a snow blower and shovel...we haven't had mail for 2 days and they are talking about delivering on Christmas Eve just to try and get as many Christmas presents as possible to Coloradoans.

Becky you reall are a young one arent you. I so wanted to be Julie.
I used to love that show.
Next time I'm just not admitting I don't know something. :teeth:

Had it been Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver I would have had a clue but Love Boat no idea.

If I want to try and write a song I need to know how the words fit to the music to do so. Thats just how my brain works, seeing as how I never recall hearing the song before I needed to listen to it so that I could perhaps make an attempt to rewrite it.

Also according to my research The Love Boat is not available on DVD.

it is such a great show

my favorites are when they would do the specials where they were in ports of calls - how many times do you think Julie almost got married?

Oh god I don't Know at least 6 or more. I loved the ports of call. I liked seeing the different stars from other shows guest star as well. I liked watching Vicki grow up on the show.

I never could get into watching I love Lucy. Of course you will admit you don't know something. :teeth: We are just teasing that's what families do.

I almost forgot my most important news of the day. Our insurance company has approved our request for a special needs stroller for Hunter. The cost of the stroller is over $1500 and it will be completely covered between our 2 insurances :thumbsup2 Now I can stop worrying about stroller issues for our next trips. It is a huge load off my mind.

Deb

Deb! That's fantastic!!! I know how worried you were about that! That is going to make your trips so much more enjoyable!!!

:wave2: :wave2: :wave2: Oh boy and I on my way to bed.....

Well, I go out 3 priority mail boxes, 12 first class mailers and 30 or so cards. Round one... ding ding ding.

My postman was in rare form. He'd look at the addresses, hmm Atlanta, there's a chance. Dallax, that sorta like a snowball, know what I mean? California, not much of a chance...

Sooooooooo, DDA your cards are in the mail system. They said airmail....

Oh he chuckled when I showed him Clare's. Not until Tueday, sorry.... even with the airmail stamp. :guilty:

postal service rain, snow.. alll that stuff goes down the drain when you have 31 inches of snow at the connecting airport. I truly thought my staff would end up with one small gift from me.... :badpc: :badpc: :badpc: :badpc:

I have their gifts in my hot little hands now..... YAY :yay: :yay:

I need sleep. Good night all.

And in case someything happens before 5....

MERRY CHRISTMAS

Oh, I did!!! I thought she had the most glamorous job ever!!!! I seriously considered doing that, until I found out that I get horribly seasick!

Tell me about it! I was feeling so good about the half marathon by telling myself it's not until January. Now that January is so close, I'm starting to panic!

Well, my friends. It's pumpkin time here! I just finished baking 2 batches of cookies and making the cute little mice that Deb posted for all our neighbors and Alan's family (I'm so glad they don't exchange gifts on his side of the family). Tomorrow I'll finish assembling the plates of goodies, and we'll all pile in the van and deliver them. Then it's off to sledding for Alan and the kids, and back to the last of the wrapping for me! I only have 2 or 3 more gifts to wrap and so I might be able to squeeze in a bubble bath while the family is gone. Imagine it, ladies, a bath without interruptions!!!!! Now THAT'S a Christmas present!

I will most likely be back on tomorrow, but in case I miss anyone, here's a great big MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all! I hope you all have the most wonderful holiday!!! Enjoy your families, and stay safe!!!!!

I was going to ask about mailing her a christmas card. Did you all put a regular 39 cent stamp on them?
