I have been very lucky in that some experts have taken me under their wings and given me a lot of tips!!!

Mac even gave me a coveted set of golden Mickey ears - which everyone has been asking for!! then last night someone else gave me an entire princess costume! They have successfully hooked me!

Wow! Just don't get so busy you forget about your DDA family, ok? We'd be lost without you!

We stayed in the FW cabins several years ago. 6 adults and 2 infants and we had plenty of room. There is a bedroom in the back with a queen sized bed and a set of bunk beds. There is only one full bath though. Full sized fully equipped kitchen and a relatively large living room with couch. There is a trundle bed that pulls out from the wall that easily sleeps 2. So unless there are more than 6 of you there is plenty of space. Not to mention the deck area and grill. The ambiance of Fort Wilderness is unlike anywhere else on Disney Property. Very quiet and relaxing You have your own little "house" with no one to bother you. I say go for it :thumbsup2 I'd do it again in a heart beat if we didn't have DVC now.

I don't want to say too much, as I don't want to jinx things, but Alan is seriously looking at FW cabins. We've been planning things for the half, and he loves the look of the cabins. If he has as much fun as I think he's going to have in January, he's toying with the idea of a family vacation in 2008. He would like to stay at the cabins if it happens. That would be best for us, as it would combine his love of "camping" with my love of Disney! Keep your fingers crossed.

My fingers are crossed for you! :wizard:

I have a hair appt. today at 4 and I can't wait. It needs to be colored and cut in the worst way. And then after that I have a parent volunteer meeting for the children's Christmas pageant at our church. Before Christmas Eve Mass they reenact the Nativity story. Nicholas is the Innkeeper and Alyssa is an angel. So for the next 3 Sunday's we will have rehearsal. I hope Nicholas doesn't have too many lines to remember!

How exciting!! I can't imagine he won't want to go back after your sampling in January! :wizard:

How fun!!! I love Christmas pageants!!! I got to be Mary when I was 11 years old! I got to hold a brand new baby for the whole pageant. It was heaven for me! Luckily, the baby slept the entire time, so I really didn't have to do much.

I love to see little kids acting out the pageant at Christmas time!

Good luck with your hair appointment! I got my eyebrows waxed yesterday. I was tired of looking like a cave woman. It feels good, but no one else noticed. Oh well, I did!

That's what I'm counting on! When we went to DL last June, he remarked that DL just wasn't as fun without the kids. I'm hoping he'll feel the same way about WDW!

Hi everyone!!!!!!!!! I am back from Vegas!!! I was surprised at how much there was to do there. We got to see Phantom of the Opera (wonderful), the Titanic exhibit (very moving), & took a gondola ride at the Venetian. The weather was chilly, about 50's but very sunny!!!

Hope you are all doing well & someone can bring me up to speed with what has been happening while I was gone.

I have such a one track mind I'm scared to even try VMK. I'd hate to leave my family in the lurch! I spend so much time with you all, I'd hate to stretch myself too thin with something else.

Besides, I don't think my almost 40 year old brain could handle it. I would need "idiot" instructions for the game!!! :teeth: There's a project for someone!

If my 42 year old brain can handle it, so can your 40 year old brain. Just have the kids explain it to you. :rotfl: I almost never get a chance to get on any more, though. It is fun and addicting.

When is it supposed to come? All on Thursday or Thursday into Friday morning?

Hoping they've gotten their predictions wrong or if not wrong at least the airport is clear for travel!!
