Amy has a big mouth, but she's right. I am still having lots of problems since I delivered. It's frustrating because it was pregnancy induced hypertension and delivering was supposed to eliminate the blood pressure problems. To answer you Glynis, yes I'm on medication. I was on a pregnancy safe medication and my PCP switched me to a stronger one today.
Last night I had severe abdominal pain so I saw my Dr. today. He ordered lots of tests to try to figure it out. I haven't felt quite right since my c-section so I suspect it is something related to that or the tremendous amount of stress we've been under the last few weeks. One good thing about stress - I'm 2 lbs under my pre pregnancy weight![]()
Caroline is still doing well. She is up to 6 lbs 15 oz. She's eating really well and still spits up, but so far nothing severe like before she was on the medicine. We traded out our monitor today because it wouldn't stop sounding the alarm. When home health downloaded the information they could tell that the alarms were all false, so we're happy to know that. Hopefully it needed to be serviced and the new one will allow us to get some sleep tonight!
I want to thank you all again for keeping us in your prayers. I may not always be able to post when y'all ask for prayers, but you're always in mine as well. I try to skim posts when I have the chance, and I am praying for those of you who have asked or who are having a rough time right now![]()
Amy, Brian and I have been talking about buying a minivan for a while now. We just can't force ourselves to spend the money. I have my eye on the Toyota Sienna, and I've been looking for a decent deal on one. I don't think minivans are uncool at all! They're much more stylish than they used to be. I admit, though, before I had kids I swore I'd never drive one![]()
I haven't seen it yet, but my mom checked my mail and told me Christopher had a postcard from Donald Duck. I think it was sent by Lindsay, but I just want to be sure...I want to make sure I thank the right person!
I wonder what it would be like
to live in a world where it was always June.
I knew that you were nearing, June,
and I knew that you were nearing--
I saw it in the bursting buds
of roses in the clearing;
The roses in the clearing, June,
were blushing pink and red,
For they had heard upon the hills
the echo of your tread.
In the gentle dusk of June
Garden fairies walk
Sending butterflies to bed
And teaching flower buds
Bright flower songs.
It is the month of June,
The month of leaves and roses
When pleasant sights salute the eyes,
And pleasant scents the noses.
June
The day is warm
and a breeze is blowing,
the sky is blue
and it's eye is glowing,
and everything's new
and green and growing...
My shoes are off
and my socks are showing...
My socks are off...
do you know how I'm going?
BAREFOOT!
What is one to say about June, the time
of perfect young summer, the fulfillment
of the promise of the earlier months, and
with as yet no sign to remind one that its
fresh young beauty will ever fade.

lovespoohbear said:i was coming on here to give an update on my grandmother. i just want june's family to know how sorry we are that she passed. she will be missed greatly.
the update on my grandmother is that she is home and comfortable. i was told she pigged out last night. she swallowed apple juice, soup, and pudding. she was getting mad because the caregiver wouldnt give it to her fast enough. my uncle said that she has moved her right arm some and has even kicked her right leg over the bed so now we are going to try and get pt to come out and work with her some.
if you guys do an exchange i wanna do it to. you can have me down for both monthly and the christmas one or whatever one we do.

Also, please keep Dawn in your thoughts as well. Caroline is doing much better but Dawn's blood pressure is the highest it's ever been.
sometimes the high blood pressure will linger for several weeks after deliverytmfranlk said:We certainly will. Do they have any idea what is causing these problems even post-partum? Please keep us posted as you hear anything.
rosiejo said:Kelli - I love the picture of your kids with goofy in your sig. I was looking at some photos of Main Street on the DIS last night and sought out the Goofy bench to see if anyone was there... and then this morning I was on the TPAS thread and I saw one called "How is June?" And I thought, wow what's that thread doing here?? Of course when I opened it it was asking about the month! But I think it just goes to show she's in my thoughts too![]()
