I just read June's Tag:

Seems very appropriate!!

"Keep the board going for me while I'm gone, but don't be TOO prolific!!!"

Her tag and she will be missed greatly.

Seems to me in her honor we have to be prolific!!

I spoke with Amy earlier and she gave me the news. As soon as I got home I came on to read my PM and the thread. I second all of the sentiments posted by everyone. She will certainly be missed :(.

Amy has a big mouth ;) , but she's right. I am still having lots of problems since I delivered. It's frustrating because it was pregnancy induced hypertension and delivering was supposed to eliminate the blood pressure problems. To answer you Glynis, yes I'm on medication. I was on a pregnancy safe medication and my PCP switched me to a stronger one today.

Last night I had severe abdominal pain so I saw my Dr. today. He ordered lots of tests to try to figure it out. I haven't felt quite right since my c-section so I suspect it is something related to that or the tremendous amount of stress we've been under the last few weeks. One good thing about stress - I'm 2 lbs under my pre pregnancy weight :teeth:

Caroline is still doing well. She is up to 6 lbs 15 oz. She's eating really well and still spits up, but so far nothing severe like before she was on the medicine. We traded out our monitor today because it wouldn't stop sounding the alarm. When home health downloaded the information they could tell that the alarms were all false, so we're happy to know that. Hopefully it needed to be serviced and the new one will allow us to get some sleep tonight!

I want to thank you all again for keeping us in your prayers. I may not always be able to post when y'all ask for prayers, but you're always in mine as well. I try to skim posts when I have the chance, and I am praying for those of you who have asked or who are having a rough time right now :grouphug:

Amy, Brian and I have been talking about buying a minivan for a while now. We just can't force ourselves to spend the money. I have my eye on the Toyota Sienna, and I've been looking for a decent deal on one. I don't think minivans are uncool at all! They're much more stylish than they used to be. I admit, though, before I had kids I swore I'd never drive one :rotfl:

I haven't seen it yet, but my mom checked my mail and told me Christopher had a postcard from Donald Duck. I think it was sent by Lindsay, but I just want to be sure...I want to make sure I thank the right person!

Glad to see an update!! Wish it was better news on your front.

I am still in shock over this whole thing. June was such a fun person and her strength was something I admired. I have never lost anyone close to me and this just has me so sad. :sad1: I will always think of her when I see a Goofy. At least she will get to be with her DH again and be at peace. I wish I could have had the chance to meet you June but I am glad I had the chance to "know" you. :grouphug:

:grouphug: Dawn Please take care of yourself. Lots of prayers for you and your little one will be sent. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

I have been thinking so much about June today - I am so heartbroken that on Monday she was supposed to be finishing her trip to WDW and how excited she was for the trip

How excited she got about all the little things in life
how deeply she cared for others
how she always knew when I needed a pick me up
how she always knew what to say
how she was always up for anything
how much she loved her family
how much she loved us
How could someone I met on the internet touch my life so deeply?
how did her parents know that June was the perfect name for her?

when I think of June (the month) - I think of lazy days with my kids, running barefoot, going to the beach, crickets chirping, birds singing - June always seems like such a cheerful month so full of hope - just like June -

so I found some poems about the month of June and it seems - June really was the perfect name!

I wonder what it would be like
to live in a world where it was always June.

I knew that you were nearing, June,
and I knew that you were nearing--
I saw it in the bursting buds
of roses in the clearing;
The roses in the clearing, June,
were blushing pink and red,
For they had heard upon the hills
the echo of your tread.

In the gentle dusk of June
Garden fairies walk
Sending butterflies to bed
And teaching flower buds
Bright flower songs.

It is the month of June,
The month of leaves and roses
When pleasant sights salute the eyes,
And pleasant scents the noses.

June
The day is warm
and a breeze is blowing,
the sky is blue
and it's eye is glowing,
and everything's new
and green and growing...
My shoes are off
and my socks are showing...
My socks are off...
do you know how I'm going?
BAREFOOT!

What is one to say about June, the time
of perfect young summer, the fulfillment
of the promise of the earlier months, and
with as yet no sign to remind one that its
fresh young beauty will ever fade.

That is soooooooo appropriate. And so June. :grouphug:

I feel so honored to have met her and Melanie. To share some meals and hoist drinks and laugh together. It makes it all seem so....so.... I'm grasping for words here.... I'm just stunned that she would be so vibrant one day, and gone 7 weeks later. I just can't get my hands around it right now.

Thanks for calling me Kate.

And thanks for posting the quote. It brought a tear to my eye, but it made me feel good too. I could actually hear her say it. Nice way of signing off.

Now I have to get home so I can have a good cry...

My deepest sympathy and prayers for June's family at this time. I am in tears. I thank God that she did not suffer long, but I know all that know and love her will miss June deeply.

June, we love you and know that you will always be in the thoughts and hearts of the DDA. I am only sorry that we never got to meet in person.

If anyone hears of anything that we can do to help, please let me know.

To Melanie, Buddy and the rest of June's family...your mom was an amazing woman and I am thankful to have gotten to know her over this last year.

i was coming on here to give an update on my grandmother. i just want june's family to know how sorry we are that she passed. she will be missed greatly.

the update on my grandmother is that she is home and comfortable. i was told she pigged out last night. she swallowed apple juice, soup, and pudding. she was getting mad because the caregiver wouldnt give it to her fast enough. my uncle said that she has moved her right arm some and has even kicked her right leg over the bed so now we are going to try and get pt to come out and work with her some.

if you guys do an exchange i wanna do it to. you can have me down for both monthly and the christmas one or whatever one we do.

That is great news, Karen! I hope that she continues to improve.

That's a great idea Denise!

Sending lots more :grouphug: to you all. What a sad day. June always looked out for all of us! :grouphug:

Also, please keep Dawn in your thoughts as well. Caroline is doing much better but Dawn's blood pressure is the highest it's ever been.

We certainly will. Do they have any idea what is causing these problems even post-partum? Please keep us posted as you hear anything.

sometimes the high blood pressure will linger for several weeks after delivery

Kelli - I love the picture of your kids with goofy in your sig. I was looking at some photos of Main Street on the DIS last night and sought out the Goofy bench to see if anyone was there... and then this morning I was on the TPAS thread and I saw one called "How is June?" And I thought, wow what's that thread doing here?? Of course when I opened it it was asking about the month! But I think it just goes to show she's in my thoughts too :grouphug:

Clare, :grouphug:

On July 15, 2006, I met an amazing woman named June. Her DIS name is legalslave and her signature is a picture of her and her main man, Goofy. From all of her posts, she showed she had such a great sense of humor, lots of love to share and would give you the shirt off her back.

Today I received a phone call and my heart cried.

Melanie, to you and your family, I send my love. It was such a pleasure to meet you.

June will stay in my heart forever.

Such sad news about June. :grouphug: :grouphug:

Thank you, Vicki, for the PM. Not only is June with her husband, but she's also with Walt. They're probably chatting up a storm! :sunny:

You guys got me crying again.
I'm always amazed at how much we are a family without even realizing it.

I thought I would repost our pictures from the trip to DC - June was so happy!! I think we should all take comfort that she did not suffer long with this!!

Thanks Kate, it was nice to see those pictures of DC again.

I'm so glad June got to go to DC and make the DDA meet. I'm sure that meant the world to her. She looks so happy in those pictures! I just wish she'd made it to WDW this week. I guess I met her on her final WDW trip in December. Let me assure you, she and Melanie were having a BLAST! Giggling, happy, smiling away!
