Beth, you pictures look great! You kids look so sweet & like they had a good time!

Here are some of mine...

This was our view from our room at the Beach Club. I had booked a standard view but was upgraded to concierge water view. It was absolutely perfect.

Terrific photos, Anne Marie! How lucky that you were upgraded to concierge! That must have been magical!

I walked around YC/BC and the Boardwalk for quite a while the day that Miles was on the Albatross Cruise. I also met Art, the greeter at BC, and took his photo. I would love to stay there someday!

Those photos are from the day that I met you! Did you get positive comments on the shirts? I found that there wasn't much personal attention at MK, but tons at AK and Epcot. Also, the characters at CM loved our shirts/autograph pages.

Beth,

I have always wanted to stay at the Beach Club since I have been coming to Disney. It has been my "dream resort" & finally we booked it since it was for a special occasion (our 15th anniversary). This was supposed to be a one time thing..well after being spolied by staying at the BC & the concierge I told Dana he was in trouble. :rotfl: It was a dream vacation. Now I have to start sweet talking him into going there again next year.

Yes we did get alot of comments on the shirts. There were a few days where I & the kids matched but Dana didn't (he only wore a matching shirt once) so the CM's would say to him "Wheres your shirt?" & tease him that he didn't have one. I think he started to feel like he should have just let me make him more. Also the photo cm's told him our picture would look nicer if he had matched. :rolleyes1

Good Morning DDA!
I have 2 days left before classes start so i am being a bum today- I may be going with dad out on the motorcycle for a little bit, but toher than that, i have no real plans. Looking forward to relaxing ..still dreading classes!
have a great day DDA

Beth,
I just emailed you the photobucket invite. I haven't posted all my pictures on there yet. I have to get a digital for Christmas ..the film camera is too time consuming scanning & uploading.

I am not really sure. They have fallen in love with the area up there. David is an avid bike rider. So he is loving the roads up there thru the mountains. He talks about the 10 minute walk to school with the kids in the mornings and the fact that the kids see mule deer on the playground during the day. But he knows he won't be loving the area when the snow comes in.

Did I tell you the closing on their house in FL fell thru?? It happended last week so they might be renting a little longer than they planned. They didn't want the kids to have to change schools when they moved up there. So at this point I am not sure what they are going to do. David works from his home so he doesn't have to commute. When he has to go onsite his only commute is flying in and out of the Denver airport.

Lynn

There's snow but......it sounds like they might want to stay up there....tell em to give it one winter...they may find they like it.

Do they have any nibbles on their FL home again?

It's a buyers market here in CO.....too bad I can't be one of the buyers....prices are still way too high!!

Good morning everyone!!! I'm not sure how much I'll be on since we'll have 15 here for BBQing this afternoon and poor Mama has been at work since 4am so will need a nap first. So, I will be getting everything ready.

However, I just wanted to let you all know that Phil made it last night around 7:30!!!

 :cool1: :cool1: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :woohoo: :dance3: :woohoo: :dance3:

He ended up stopping just eat of Columbus as well and sleeping for a long time as he didn't feel well, but that made him up for finishing the drive yesterday. Once we found out that it was only $40 to return the truck late he relaxed enough to take better care of himself. Thanks for all of the prayers and PD!

WOOOHOOO!!! Welcome Home Phil!!

Does anyone have any ideas on how to get melted wax off of a sofa?

Don't ask....:sad2:

Do you know what kind of fabric it is?

put a paper towel over it and run a warm iron over it....then get as much as you can off once it's warm...you will need to do it a couple of times.

I am not telling how I know how to do this.

If that doesn't completely work, I'll ask Jim when he gets home...he knows how to do all that stuff and he didn't even make the messes!!

What kind of fabric is the sofa? Could it withstand a medium-hot iron? Scrape as much wax off as possible. Cover the wax with paper towels and iron. Replace the paper towels and keep ironing until the wax is gone.

Almost identical answers!! Thankfully I don't have to work today so we can share the brain!! :lmao:

and so ends my catch up P3.

Hope all of the DDA has a wonderful day!!! :thumbsup2

I just said to dh this morning, "You know our 20th anniversary is in 2008, and Matthew will be going into his senior year of high school. We could make it a shorter trip..." He just rolled his eyes and said, "And so it begins." How do you all get your husbands to want to go to Disney every year? Or did you all just get the good ones? :teeth: Only kidding. I love dh.

I just had to post this one....This guy was awesome. Had Captain Jack down 100%..voice & mannerisms.

There was no one around when I got to the POC but thanks to the DIS board I knew that Captain Jack would be coming out to do his pirate tutorial so I stood there while my kids complained they wanted to ride POC. I told them to just wait & they were happy that they did. They laughed through his & Mack's show.

My adult teeth were actually growing in behind my baby teeth, for my four front teeth on the bottom. I went to the dentist for a regular cleaning and they pulled all 4 with no novacaine or anything just brought the pliers out and pulled and pulled. The roots on all 4 teeth were actually longer than the part of the tooth that was sticking out above the gums.

I'm afraid that's what's going to happen with Katie. Her adult bottom eye teeth have already come in behind her baby teeth. They are not even a bit wiggly, yet. She's dreading going to the dentist. Truth be told, so am I!

No news yet--I figured I wouldnt hear anything because of the long weekend, but it is driving me crazy! Classes start Tuesday, but im not on campus since i dont have classes then--I figure Ill get an email then, and if not, ill be going to the Dean on wednesday when im on campus..I feel so bad complaining to them on the first day of classes , but i NEED this class!

thanks for asking!

Don't feel bad! You need to get this all straightened out! The administration needs to know that as a Senior this puts you back. It would be great if you knew who else was inconvenienced (graduation wise) by this, and could all go in together. It would show just how many "squeaky wheels" there are. Good luck! I'll be thinking good thoughts for you!

All right all...I am going to go enjoy some quiet time in the living room.

Have you ever had one of those days where your family grates on your last nerve until it's raw? :confused3

Than you know what my day was like.

Night all and I will see you all in the morning...except Jennifer as she is shopping at Savers and that's a big undertaking!! :teeth:

Me too, me too! The kids were driving me crazy yesterday! They really act out when Alan is gone, and it is so annoying. I know it's because they miss him, but still! Sheesh!

I got them all put in bed, and then I snuggled in front of the tv to watch "Shall We Dance?" Another great chick flick! I just love Richard Gere! This was a great movie! I'd highly recommend it!

I hope you find some good deals. We don't have one of those around here. :sad2: There are two in Orlando I used to go to the one on Colonial Drive, they had great deals.

So I'm wide awake now, I was exhausted all day and now I am :Pinkbounc and I didn't have any monster drinks. It could be I didn't eat dinner until after 8pm. This morning I went to Office Depot and Staples. I came home and sorted through some clothing. I filled two trash bags full of stuff that I won't wear as it is too big and not easily modified. :woohoo: I still have more stuff to go through and sort as I have way too much clothing.

I then went off to Hersheypark which was packed. The weather was gorgeous, but I can't believe how quickly the weather has cooled off.

Once I got back from Hersheypark I went to my neighbor's for their labor day party. They have a gathering for all holidays. He is a caterer you'd think they wouldn't want to have big parties on their time off but they have them often. They had clams, shrimp, chicken, baked potatoes and corn, plus some deserts and fruit.

I ended up bringing home a cat litter bucket full of clam shells which will be used for our Girl Scout Man in My life Lua dance.

I also submitted my assignment, so I don't have any schoolwork for a few days. :cool1:

I probably should go to bed as I must work the holiday, but I am to :bounce:.

Sending prayers, :wizard: :wizard: and :grouphug: :grouphug: to everyone who needs them.

Sounds like you had a great day! Congrats on getting your schoolwork all done so you can relax for a while.

I wonder if we added up everyone's fantastic weight loss since the thread started how many extra people we'd have?

That's a scary thought, isn't it?

I'll start: To date, I've lost 97 pounds.

Anyone else want to 'fess up?
