There's a new baby in the family! Maxwell Carson was born this afternoon and was a *healthy* 9lbs 11oz! ( :scared1: Should I mention that mom is 5ft6 and skinny as a stick when not pregnant? :scared1: )

and now it is my turn to say good night. Don't post too much, folks! There is NO WAY you can get to the next milestone tonight. And please do not take that as a challenge.............

Thanks to everyone who continued to shamelessly post in my honor!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am finally caught up.

Today's dilemma is what to do about shirts for me for the trip. I really despise the boxy style T shirts. I grabbed some of the Perfect Fit ones from Old Navy and am really hoping that they will work (but I have a hunch that they might be too stretchy anyway- it must be the way they are made because they are 100% cotton). I am trying to find long sleeve ones now. The old navy long sleeves have 5% spandex, so they are out. Target on-line has Cherokee ones that look fitted and say 100% cotton so I might give those a whirl.

Also I am looking for a white T with a red "ringer" for Kyle. I found adult ones at Cheaptees.com but the smallest youth size is a Small (6-8). Has anyone here ever ordered the Anvil shirts for kids before- how do they run? Kyle can't wear the Jerzee's size small but he can in the Hobby Lobby kind (it is kind of long, but the body fits great so I figure if I dry it on high heat, it might shrink up some). I REALLY want to do our Christmas shirt on a red ringer (remember the design with Retro Mickey dressed as Santa against a glittery green star- that is another one of my favorite designs!!)

Check Walmart ours had a whole bunch of boys ringer t's the last time I was there. Not sure if they had red and white. What size do you need I am guessing like a 4-5 from your above post. I will check the next time I am there.

One quick yippee from today. I tried on a pair of my really skinny shorts. They are size 12s from Old Navy but from the girl's section. I think they are closer to 10s. Well, they zipped right up! 10 more pounds and they'd be perfect. I also wore a shirt to parents night yesterday that was super tight and now was very loose. Dieting sucks! But I'm loving the results! I hope I can wear the skinny shorts to WDW in 3 weeks. I can't believe we go 3 weeks from Saturday!

Night all!

It's amazing to me that more school libraries don't do this! When/if I ever get my own school library, you can bet I'll be pushing those books over the fluff that seems to be pushed on kids these days. At Katie's old school, the librarian prominently displayed "The Goosebumps" series and books of that kind. She said that kids asked for those and she got tired of showing them where they were. I'd rather have a huge, gorgeous display of award winning books, and try to get kids excited about them.
The library I go to has red dots for Caldecott and Blue for Newberry and yellow with a number for Accelerated Reader, number is the level.

Although a separate area would probably be easier, than again everytime I go eveything is moved around as this location only opened about 2 years ago.

Deb -- awesome job on Colby's room. And I'm thrilled that your brother is doing well.

Amy -- I so remember those days!

Dawn -- many prayers for Caroline and for you and the rest of the family!

Denise, Good luck the the Meet N Greet Tomorrow. Since it is a Disney themed classroom then it must be a Meet N Greet :rotfl:

June, I hope you are feeling better by now.

Caroline, I will keep you and your family in my prayers, I'm glad that things are looking good though.

Kate, Good luck with your surgery. I hope that they make your knee as good as new.

Night All.

Deb

FANTASTIC!! A true motivator! Hope you reach goal soon!

Well, now I am totally confused as to what I have and have not read. You all are just being way to talkative lately. ;) I'm just going to start clean tomorrow, but someone please let me know if I missed anything big. I saw the news and update from Dawn, but haven't seen an update on June, Marci's mom or Karen's grandma. Kate's surgery is coming up soon as well I know so prayers to you for that, Kate.

Good night all and hopefully two late, active nights will have you all in bed early tonight so that I have a fighting chance tomorrow. :rolleyes1

Deb -- I think I've bored you my WW stories when you asked about it in the past, but I'm still willing to answer any questions you have. I love that it's a lifestyle change, that can be done with any foods, or with their foods, bought in the grocery store. I'm on the go so much that I use a lot of their frozen foods/desserts and things. Anything with shortcuts is a good thing for me!

The one that Cassidy loves right now is the Mates, Dates series. Though this is definitely older kids as one of the titles is Mates, Dates and Inflatable Bras.
Speaking of bras filled with things, I was talking to a friend today about the airport restrictions. How you can't take liquids and gels on the plane with you. We decided you can wear it on your chest, (water bra) but you can't pack it in your luggage. Now how  is that. :confused3 :confused3

I'm home safe and sound. No time to catch up. I don't know if I'll have time tomorrow either. Just in case, everyone have a safe & happy holiday week-end.

Dawn literally called two minutes after we got home. I just got off the phone with her, and I can reassure you that Caroline is going to be fine, but she's still in the hospital until an official diagnosis can be made.

All signs are pointing to a severe case of reflux. Most likely she will be put on medicine, but there's still a chance for a PH probe. The poor baby has undergone a spinal tap, EEG, cat scan, and several other tests, but thankfully all of them show everything is normal (no brain damage from lack of oxygen, etc.)

They are still waiting for some other 48 hour test results to come back, but they think Caroline will be discharged tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dawn's blood pressure has never gone down, and obviously it was through the roof yesterday, so she was prescribed her own medicine yesterday. She will be haunted by Caroline's limp, blue body for a long time.

Please keep all of them in your prayers. If you would like Dawn's address to send her a note, please PM me.

Thanks for the update. Sending :wizard: :wizard: and :grouphug:

Tia -- thankfully, Mom's health hasn't gotten worse, but I had major issues with the hospital and her care, and many other problems today. I'm going to bed now on the theory that things will look much better in the morning. I was just hanging on to catch-up and read about sweet Caroline.

Thanks for asking, and thanks for the prayers and PD everyone. I think I would be in our local mental hospital by now if not for all of you!
