The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 13

I just saw on TV that Weight Watcher's is offering a free meeting and free sign up to join. I'm heading over to the web site to check it out. I have been faithfully doing the low carb thing for over 3 weeks now with no luck so I think it might be time to change my approach. Any reviews that anyone would like to share?

Try having a name like Glynis! At least with your name and Christi's there are things that are close. Not so with me! The closest thing I ever found was in the boy's stuff: Glen.

Ohhh, I almost forgot.

Including the .6 of a pound loss at WDW I have lost another 6 pounds for a total of 41 pounds.

Tomorrow am is the Meet Your Teacher day at school. I just had 2 new children added, so I've been working like a mad woman trying to print it all up. Rees has a doc appt after school tomorrow, and then my parents arrive on Friday for the holiday weekend. I won't be on much. If anyone gets news of Dawn or June or Kate (good luck on surgery Friday! You're in my prayers), will you please PM me or email me at home?

One quick yippee from today. I tried on a pair of my really skinny shorts. They are size 12s from Old Navy but from the girl's section. I think they are closer to 10s. Well, they zipped right up! 10 more pounds and they'd be perfect. I also wore a shirt to parents night yesterday that was super tight and now was very loose. Dieting sucks! But I'm loving the results! I hope I can wear the skinny shorts to WDW in 3 weeks. I can't believe we go 3 weeks from Saturday!

BTW, I'm only 5 pounds from my first goal weight! Hopefully will make it by our trip in 3 weeks (and then eat like crazy at WDW!). John is down 25 pounds and looks great.

Dawn literally called two minutes after we got home. I just got off the phone with her, and I can reassure you that Caroline is going to be fine, but she's still in the hospital until an official diagnosis can be made.

All signs are pointing to a severe case of reflux. Most likely she will be put on medicine, but there's still a chance for a PH probe. The poor baby has undergone a spinal tap, EEG, cat scan, and several other tests, but thankfully all of them show everything is normal (no brain damage from lack of oxygen, etc.)

They are still waiting for some other 48 hour test results to come back, but they think Caroline will be discharged tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Dawn's blood pressure has never gone down, and obviously it was through the roof yesterday, so she was prescribed her own medicine yesterday. She will be haunted by Caroline's limp, blue body for a long time.

Prayers for Dawn and her little princess. My heart goes out to her nothing is worse than seeing your baby suffer.
