I can't sleep -- I feel yucky still and Paul is working tonight. Would you believe that some kids in the neighborhood decided tonight is a good night to play ring and run?? Now I'm shaking and nervous!

Have a little hot tea and relax. It will all be fine. Paul should be home soon, if not already.

I am still pagessssssss behind lol

We leave Friday after the boys get home from school & will return late afternoon on Monday. Between last weekend & this weekend my Mickey luggage is getting broke in for our Disney trip :teeth:

I'm sure I have posted this before, but there is brand new strip mall at the back end of my neighborhood with a Cold Stone we can walk to!!
WTG Vicki, last night I wanted Taco Bell, now tonight I want Cake Batter ice cream
Oh, Tony..................... :rotfl:

You had to go and mention the Cake Batter, didn't you?!? That's my favorite! I love Cold Stone. Before my surgery, we went there and they had black licorice ice cream! I couldn't believe it! I hadn't tasted it in years since I was a little girl at my grandfather's drug store soda fountain! Boy, did that bring back memories!

The sky darkened and the wind blew and the thunder raged... and we got the same 49 drops that Nicholas experienced on the soccer field this week! We so badly need rain.

And in answer to your Ernesto question... looks like Debbie is spared ( :cool1: ) and we will finally get rain this weekend.

By the way... I tried like the dickens to get on the DIS and post this afternoon with no luck. So I know I am probably behind, but it just was not cooperating!

Elin,
We got a ton of rain for about 15 minutes and then it got very muggy here. so my DH and I are headed to West Virginia this weekend to visit our friends and we will probably drive in the rain the whole time we are on the road.

That is so horrible. Please keep us posted and tell Dawn we're all praying hard. It is so scary and unbearable having your child in the NICU. Please post as soon as you hear anything else.

I'm sure that you spent a lot of time at NICU with your triplets, didn't you? I was lucky in that the twins only had to spend about 7 hours there after the birth. Still not a fun thing.

How are you doing, Denise? How is your class?

Speaking of things being cut wrong. Why don't they make bras and lingerie that actually fit a busty woman without making us look like an old lady? I have a big bust and need underwire to hold things up if you know what i mean and most lingerie doesn't have enough support. It is frusterating. I don't want old lady undergarments. :rotfl2:

Deb

I have no clue what you could be talking about.

I have some, well a little , well ... oh they need help and I am just glad I have bras you know.

I know Dawn appreciates all of your prayers, so thank you on her behalf! :grouphug:

She hasn't called me back, but when she does, I promise I will update you!

good!! Hi there!! How was your night?
Alright, I have been unsuccessfully trying to get somethings accomplished. I keep getting interrupted.

I'm trying to do an assignment for my Fundraising class but haven't been successful its due on Septemember 5th, as is my assignment for my nonprofit management class. I wanted to have the Fundraising one done by tonight but that didn't happen, I gotta get it done by tomorrow night and am aiming to have the other one done by Saturday.

I had to help my Mother with her resume as she has never made one before and is looking for another job. My brother wanted help with an online order he was placing. My father got a huge splinter like the width of a toothpick and length of a dime, under his fingernail. Luckily he pulled it out easily.

I got called by one of the newer employees Saturday night because they couldn't get the alarm set at the store I work at. I ended up having to give her my code #.

Well tonight I was called by another new employee it was her first time closing herself she didn't know how to set the alarm. I told her how to set it, she doesn't get out of the store soon enough and the alarm goes off. That alarm is enough to give anyone a heart attack as it is so loud and obnoxious. She couldn't find the phone number paper so she panics and just pushes redial on the phone so she called me back. Although she could have ended up calling anybody. I get her to turn the alarm off and tell her how to set it and to get out ASAP once it is set.

Apparently she left to soon as the security company called the store, she was already gone so they called me. I told them not to send the cops because I know why the system went off and gave my ID number. Why either her or the security company called me instead of the manager is beyond me but that is who they called.

I call my manager, she is on the way to the store as the complex security called the cops. I told her the exact reason why the alarm went off and that the security company called me and I said not to call the cops. I never thought to attempt to call the complex security although by that time they probably already called the cops. I'm just glad I didn't have to drive back to the store.

I am saying forgot the assignment for now and came here to relax.

How are you doing tonight??

There must be something in the air -- Paul and I too!

Sorry to read you all are fighting.

I didn't get to talk to Mark tonight we had been out when he called. That's it!!!! I am now mad at him. Maybe he is mad at me for not being home?????

Speaking of eating to much.........

Cookies are my weakness & tonight I really over did it. I ate way to many oreos & I am now sick to my stomach. I hate it when i do this & it makes me so angry that I do this to myself. I swear I am not eating anymore cookies! I need to learn this self control you all have, I sure as heck am not doing a good job with it

Exactly! Not to mention how sick I feel if I eat too much. I mean seriously sick!

Are any of our nurses/healthcare friends on?

I have a question. Late today they told us that my mom has a blood clot in her left lung. They didn't seem to think it was a huge deal, but it kind of scares me. They said that most likely they'll get rid of it with blood thinners. Last I heard from the hospital, they couldn't get a hold of the radiologist. She is already on complete bed rest because she can't walk, and they have had her on a very small dose of blood thinners since she was admitted. Doesn't it seem kind of strange that they didn't immediately start additional meds etc -- are there different kinds of blood clots?

Because we have a family history of these, I can give you a family view point on this. If the Dr's aren't worried I wouldn't be either.....the blood clots have probably settled there in her lungs...and yes there are different kinds of blood thinners. PM me if I can help with more information.

I would love it if you haven't posted it already (I'm a little behind). It sounds delicious!

I just PM'd you the curry recipe. Then I got thinking, "did she want the baked bean recipe?" If you do, let me know and I'll get that one to you as well. It turned out really yummy!

Thanks to all who volunteered to take Stanley!! :teeth: The kids are very excited. I will PM you for your addresses....

Just got a call from Jonathan...he's coming home this weekend. I am very surprised...

Kristine,

Maybe we could coordinate to get Stanley when we have Pal Mickey in December or when I get Thomas back sometime in March.

Here is a photo of our new deck/porch. This photo was taken yesterday before I had a chance to do any clean up. Obviously we still need to change the board below the threshold (I'm thinking diamond plate aluminum in honor of Chris's occupation/hobbies). I am also planning to do some landscaping. It only took us 6 years to put in permanent steps :rotfl:

I love trying the red pan ice creams...though the cotton candy was WAY too sweet!!

I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from our last camping trip which was over a week ago. Sorry for the delay.

This is Nicky with our oldest dog Tuffy. For some reason Tuffy was laying with only his head on his bed so Nicky decided he'd lounge on the bed for a bit.

Here is Nicky in his costume ( Harley Guy) riding with Colby also dressed as a Harley Guy.

Here are the boys in costume. It was raining so Nicky was in the camper keeping dry.

I had hoped to get a picture of Nicky on our new deck/porch, but the weather is not cooperating.

Deb

I love your picture!!!! What fun!!
