OMG I'm so excited! I got my gas bill today! (never thought you'd hear those two sentances together did ya? :teeth: )
To give you a back story...we have a gas line that goes behind our house to our barn. About three years ago, the line broke (small leak but enough to scare the crap out of us) and it was deemed our fault because it's a private line not the public gas line. Since we are on budget our gas bill shot through the roof for a year and a half (the leak wasn't noticed for almost two weeks.) It was at $172 for a year, then dropped to $98 then this year it's been at $66. (Becuase we were on budget, we have to pay a set amount each month; because of the leak, it went up alot and we've had a HUGE balance since then.) They just refigured our balance again (budget up in August) and we *still* have a huge balance with the gas company, they dropped our budget to $25!!!
It's hard not to close the account and get the $ that they've been sitting on, but it'll be a live saver this winter knowing we only have to pay $25.
That's my exciting news for today. :teeth:

That is FABULOUS news!!

Well, we just got home from soccer practice. No rain in 5 months and as soon as soccer starts, bam....lightning.

Sorry to read that. Hope you have no lightning next practice.

I have been feeding Bill carrots....guess he can be my own personal nightlight!! :rotfl2:
Ewwwwwwww

Well if it was a wintergreen lifesaver they do spark if you bite into them. :teeth:
:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

But that might be a big owie.

The glowing in the lifesavers is due to bioluminescence. That is a big word that I hope I spelled right.

any other night and I'd be game -- but I'm not up to snuff today. My stomach is acting weird and I don't feel great. I'm hoping sleep will help.
Sending :wizard: :wizard: that you feel better soon.

I had a CRAZY night....

Went to bed....

All dark & cozy.....

Start hearing a weird noise....

What could it be??

Sounds like something moving around...

Like scurrying...

I must have a mouse in the house.....H E L P!!

Bill, there's a mouse in the house!!

What the heck are you talking about...says tired husband in the now brightly lit room...

You are crazy...go to bed...

Lights off....all warm and cozy....

Noise again...like scampering around....

Sounds like...MANY MICE!!!!

Wide awake....

1:30 am

2:45 am

Finally doze off...

Until, the "noise" comes back

3:00 am

4:00 am

Finally fall asleep...

Awake suddenly...am totally convinced I felt a mouse running on my head!!

No more sleep...

Alarm rings at 7am

I get out of bed................I hear it again!! I get on the floor to look for mice...

What do I see you ask??????????????????????????

My brand new computer chair, has a tag hanging from it...and in the path of the air conditioning keeps hitting my desk...making this noise....like MICE I tell you!!!! :rotfl2:

Bob took a bunch of pictures of me tonight. No pix of smaller pants, and I think the hair looks the same in every single one of these! But I promised to share so here you go. One shot:

Thanks, everyone, for welcoming me back! I am in a bit of a post-Disney depression, plus I picked up a nasty cold while I was there (and still have an annoying cough), and I have so much to get done already. It's great to have everyone welcoming me!

Kristine, I also need to know why you only slept for an hour.

PD that you get better soon

Hi, Jennifer. Yes -- the neurologist said the cysts are just fatty cysts, nothing to worry about and that they aren't pushing on any nerves. The back specialist said he can't find any reason she can't walk. I called her internist, since he was there this morning when I was at work, and he said they are hoping the arthritis specialist can shed some light on the problem. The longer she's on the pain meds and steroids, the more incoherent she is getting. Tonight she got mad at me for coming over during the work day, and getting further behind at work. I didn't go over there today during lunch..... Then she told me to quit trying to hand her a credit card, since someone would try to steal it. Didn't hand her anything....

When do you work again? I hope you are staying off your ankle, and I hope Olivia is being mommy's little helper!

Oh Marci, I am sorry things are not that great. So many orayers that she gets better soon.

The trip was to Lansing and I'm still here. It is going fine so far. I got my 360 review results back. That is where your boss, peers & direct reports review you. I was very happy with my results. The scale is 1-6 with 6 being the best. I got above a 5 on everything. I did get a couple of 4's from my boss, peers & direct reports but they are in the areas that I knew I had to work on. I'm very happy with the results. The written comments were very positive as well. The negative comments were basically that I need to be patient and realize that things don't happen overnight but not to give up. My favorite "single greatest strengh" comments were "Having the will and courage to speak out about issues concerning the department to make a better place to work. I like that in her!" and "She has many, but a combination of her positive attitude and a desire to move the organization foreward are foremost."

The funny thing is that the presenter said not to be concerned if my numbers were lower than last year because that is the trend. My numbers were just about the same or even better. I think he was surprised but then they were surprised last year as well when I got such good numbers. I guess I'm doing something right!

How wonderful!!!!!! WTG Vicki!!!!

I had to go through about 2 months of counselling sessions 3 times a week to get my mind to the point that I could say, "It's ok not to clean my plate; it's ok to throw away food; it's ok to give my food away." It's not easy to do that, but it's amazing the difference it makes.

When we found out how much the surgery was going to cost, Alan and I sat down and had a HUGE discussion. I was adamant that I didn't want to go back to my bad habits, and I told Alan that I was going to need his help. He's been so wonderful about making me feel like it's ok not to eat as much as I used to.

It really does need to be a mental change, otherwise the surgery is just wasted money!
I totally agree it is completly a mental change thing.

I am so proud that you have made the mental change that you needed to in order to be successful. You have done a great job and are an inspiration to me and so many others. I am sure it has not been easy but you have done wonderfully. :thumbsup2 :cool1: :cheer2:

Tonight i went to go see Alex ( the one from the accident)
he looks great! was sitting in a chair on the computer when we got there...he seemed to be in good spirits tonight--he was asking a lot of questions about the accident, so that was hard, but he wanted to know....hes improving so much every day!

So glad to read he is doing better everyday

So tonight I went shopping I was hoping to find some clothing, unfortunately I did not. :sad2:

However I am :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: that I found two pair of semi-dressy shoes that fit very well and they were only $28.98 for both pairs Which is a major accomplishment when you need to find size 11 or 12 shoes and they need to be narrow, especially at the back of the heel so I don't walk out of them. :thumbsup2
