Maybe have two exchanges......one with just adults and the other with just kids. You would have to keep the master list and do all the drawing to see who gets whom.
Maybe you should start a thread for anyone interested.

We need to set a timeframe for the drawing of the names and the cutoff time for the mailing of the ornaments. Wouldn't it be so cool to have a "online" Christmas Party. We could all have our gifts in front of us and open then at the same time. Wouldn't the boards go crazy then !!!

I think I am only going to do one exchange and ask for kids info and if you want to do just adult or kid or either.

Looks like it will be an ornament exchange(s).

We could always have a Christmas ornament exchange only AND a yearlong one. Those that only want to do the Christmas one would be put in one pile and those that want to do the whole year in another? Just an idea.

True....are you trying to create more work for me so you can catch up and pass me again in post count? :teeth:

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens, but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in. They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member, yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN, IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Please pass this along to all your women friends and relatives to remind them just how amazing they are.

Oh not you as well! It was Elin - she PMd me a little while back. I stole it from someone else's signature and as I can't speak Spanish I had no idea it was wrong... I really wouldn't have minded anyone pointing it out you know! It's not like it was written in English whereby I should have known better :rolleyes1 :teeth:

I usually send a pm if I see something spelled wrong. Then the person can correct it without anyone being the wiser. Of course, the couple times I did that with Kate, she thanked me on the thread - so much for being discreet! :lmao:

DDA Friends, please let me know if I have a typo in something that is seen as much as my signature!

Elin - thank you for keeping up with June for us!!

Jennifer - would you like one of my phenergans? Run on over and you can have one - but only one b/c I really need them!!

I would rank my pain around a 7 today - when I get near the end of a pain pill - I KNOW!! I have no appetite - hey - maybe I will lose a few pounds - yes -I am at this point looking for the positives as I see no way that my knee will EVER feel better!!

I do have this really cool ice pack though - it looks like a cooler and there is cold water and ice in it - it has tubes that go to a bandage on my knee and about once a minute pumps ice cold water into a tube system over my knee - it is so awesome!!

Lots of swelling - minimal bruising - lots of pain!!! and I am bored - but making lots of headway on Nicks scrapbook!!

Now, that's something I'd love to see a picture of. Hope your knee is continuing to improve.

No, I was going to volunteer to coordinate but you beat me to it! Now, I can just sit back and enjoy the fun! :lmao: I'm still 50 pages behind on the thread. Lots more to post! I'm sure people are just thrilled to have to be reading through all my responses days later! :rotfl2:

I agree completely, Vicki. You all certainly do quite a few of these things for me, and I thank you all. :grouphug:

A Christmas ornament exchange sounds like a great idea. Let me know the details!

I'd be happy to help with coordination. Just let me know what you want me to do Theresa.

Chuck switched to Diet Dr. Pepper and thought the same thing. I just have never been able to go to Diet anything. I just cut way back on my quantity of Pepsi and started drinking water in its place. With worrying over Chuck for a couple of months, I did get back up to 2 Pepsi's a day and I'm working my way back down to less than 20 oz. a day. I'm still maintaining my weight in the mean time though.
That was me, I got sick and was worried about things and started drinking more soda again, from March through the middle of July. If you take that period of time out where I maintained my weight, I lost 41 pounds in 15 weeks. I still don't like diet soda, I honestly rather have water than diet soda. I can tolerate the diet Dr. Pepper and the Jazzd stuff by Pepsi, they have cherry vanilla and strawberries and cream, but it doesn't thrill me like the real thing.

Elin or Glynis you can add my 41 pounds to the fessed up weight loss. :thumbsup2

morning DDA!
This is my last day of summer break-i start my senior year of college tomorrow! I do not know why, but i am petrifed about starting classes--i never get this worried . I dont know if it is because of this class cancellation thing they are doing (no emails yet!) or if its because i have art and im worried about that..whatever it is, im petrified.

Sorry to vent, but im going crazy!
No problem vent away, I know how frustrating it can be. :grouphug: and :wizard: that you stop worrying about your classes I know you will be fine.

As for the Art :artist: , if you have problems with some of it talk to the teacher. I am sure they will gladly help you out. I had to do that when I took my art class.

I was worried about my classes, however for my first assignment in the one class my project was recomended to the class as one of the professor's favorite to be used as an example. 4 out of the 30 person class were selected, hopefully I can keep up the good work.
